How to set the format of DATETIME without second

Default format of DATETIME is "yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss". But I need to remove the "ss", so I write the coding as below:
oracle.cabo.ui.validate.Formatter formatter =
new oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OADateValidater("yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm", "yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss");

However, when I click the submit button, a error message about date format error will be shown in the page.
If I set attribute of the submit button, which "serverUnvalidated" is TRUE, the page can be fine.
Still, have other ways? Thank.

1. Are you planning to insert the data into the table or just display purpose?
2. if you want to insert into the table, then you modify thru
OANLSServices Class. You can get instantiate thru transaction.getOANLSServices. This class has many methods to chage from String to DateTime or DateTime to JavaDate .

In adding page get the value ( max row + 1) from requestbean of the main page, this value only Indicate to the user. In stateless session bean I use getmaxid() method to regenerate the true id .
In jbuilder 2005 , this code strMaxid = String.format("%1$02d",Integer.valueOf(intRows)) is fine. Why is wrong in jsc?

Once you create a UDF it will automatically be binded to the data source of data type that you gave at the time of creating UDF.
So i think you can not set the decimal places without changing the setting in display parameters.
i am not sure whether it will work or not one thing you can try is that create it as a alphanumeric data type and convert your decimal value to sting and then assign it to UDF,While retrieving for any manipulation you convert it as decimal.

I have a form with a text field that I want to set to either date format or number format depending on the selection of a radio button. Is there a way to do that via javascript?

In Compressor, when you import a image sequence, it's possible to set the framerate and add an audio file before choosing a preset and lauching the encoding task.
I want to dlo the same thing with command line. I know how to send a compressor job with command line, but no how to add theses settings.
In the compressor command line help, we've got this :
Job Info: Used when submitting individual source files. Following parameters are repeated to enter multiple job targets in a batch
          -jobpath <url> -- url to source file.
                                           -- In case of Image Sequence, URL should be a file URL pointing to directory with image sequence.
                                           -- Additional parameters may be specified to set frameRate (e.g. frameRate=29.97) and audio file (e.g. audio=/usr/me/myaudiofile.mov).
So there are also framerate and audio parameters in command line but i've no idea how to write the command line with theses parameters
Here is an example of command line for Compressor (by Apple) :

How to set the PATH in Terminal?

As a newbie to Bash and the Terminal, in connection with installing a new version of Ruby and various add-ons, I have been messing around with changing the PATH via various methods I've found on the internet, and trying to add a new directory to my PATH. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to set the PATH correctly. Here is what I understand so far:
1. Bash first looks to ".bash_profile" in the home directory for PATH settings.
2. If none, Bash then looks to ".bash_login" for PATH settings.
3. If none, Bash then looks to ".profile".
4. If none, Bash then looks to a system file in "/etc/profile" for default PATH settings.
5. For a new shell after login, Bash looks for a ".bashrc" file.
I cannot find any of the above files (I have Finder set to show hidden files already). Somehow, following some instructions from the internet without really knowing what I was doing over the past week I have set my PATH as follows:
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/Users/*****/src:/usr/X11/bin
but I cannot find the file that is setting this PATH. I have tried creating a new ".bash_profile" shell file and putting it in various places such as "/bin" and "/usr/bin" but the file is not being read.
* As a temporary workaround I tried using the command "source .bash_profile" upon login to set the PATH using the .bash_profile file that I created, but it does not work.
* I am able to temporarily alter the path using the command "PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH" but this only lasts for an active shell; when I close out and reopen a new shell, it reverts to the default.
So my questions are:
Is it correct that there is a "/etc/profile" somewhere that is setting the default PATH? If so where is it? Should I alter it, or create a new ".bash_profile" somewhere to set the PATH? If not, where is my PATH being set? If I should create a new ".bash_profile", what exactly should go in it?

What are the "..."'s? Is that just you, or is the contents of the file actually inside of double quotes?

And did you either restart your Terminal session so your .bash_profile was read, or issue a 'source .bash_profile' command to execute the .bash_profile after your change?
The only remaining problem is that from the home directory, I'm unable to directly run programs in the above-designated subdirectories (without first navigating to the subdirectory containing the file. Is there something wrong with the syntax or order of the directories I put in the path?
For example: there is a file called "newprogram.rb" in the "Ruby" directory listed above. I should be able to execute it from the home directory using "ruby newprogram.rb" but it does not work. The same command works fine from within the "Ruby" directory.
Does the 'ruby' command search PATH to find its scripts?
Have you read the "man ruby" man page to see if it talks about PATH?
A common Unix feature is that programs and scripts with the executable bit set, and are located in a PATH directory, will be run if you just type their names.
For example, if the first line of newprogram.rb script starts with
#!/usr/bin/ruby
and if the script is executable
chmod +x newprogram.rb
And if it is in a directory in PATH, then just typing
newprogram.rb
should run your perl script using /usr/bin/ruby. If you want to use a different version of Ruby, then change the #! line so it point to your version of Ruby. Or if your version of Ruby is found earlier in PATH then the /usr/bin/ruby, you can use
#!/usr/bin/env ruby
as your script's first line which will search PATH for 'ruby' and use the first one it finds.

How to set the user name in people picker entity programmatically.
I have tried this:

In the webpart cs code:
PeopleEditor sppcustom = new PeopleEditor();
sppcustom.CommaSeparatedAccounts = "domain" + "\\" + userFullname;
The code is executing fine without error, however the username is not shown in the peopleeditor.
When the name is added, i am getting the error "No exact match was found. Click the item(s) that did not resolve for more options.".
However the username is a valid one. i tried the validate code also and the username was validated.
How to fix this?

In /etc/default/grub you can use the name of your entry you wish to use as default
GRUB_DEFAULT='Arch Linux, with Linux core repo kernel'
You can tell grub to stop using submenus by doing:
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=y
Or you can just make a purely custom menuentry in /etc/grub.d/40_custom if you'd like:
menuentry "Other Linux" {
linux <KERNEL IMAGE HERE>
initrd <INITRD IMAGE HERE>

Ho to set the format of an InputField of type integer?

I have an input field bound to context attribute of simple type integer. I want to have the number entered into this input field in this format 57000. Currently when I enter a number then navigate to another view and then return to this view where the input field is the number entered into the field become formatted like this 57,000 which is not what I want. Do you know how to explicitly set the format to such input field?

OK, you got me there George. I don't know where you can set view rights to an out of box portlet. So how about a different approach?
1) Create a blank page with no nav bar or anything else
2) Assign the group you want to see the notifications portlet view rights on the page
3) Make sure the show as portlet check box is checked on the Optional tab in the page properties
4) Add the notifications portlet to the page
5) Ensure the portlet settings are how you desire in terms of what notifications to show and the region settings are how they should be in terms of border, headers, etc
6) Edit the page where you want the notifications portlet to be shown and add the page portlet you just created instead of the notification portlet
This should achieve what you seek without having to dig into out-of-box portlets.
