How to set up headphone mix logic pro x

Trying to figure out how to set up headphone mix in Logic Pro X but cannot get stereo sends.

Maybe this will help, in Logic Pro 9 there was a box under preferences/audio called universal track mode. If you unchecked this box then when settng a send or creating a aux track you had the ability to select mono or stereo busses. Logic Pro X doesn't seem to have this. So when creating a aux channel with output stereo 5-6 I can't select stereo thus I can't create sens to the left or right side of this aux channel for headphone mixes. In Logic Pro 9 I can create a stereo aux channel with bus 1-2 output 5-6 (to headphone amp) I can then use sends to send musical instrument to bus 1 (left side) and vocals to bus 2 (right side). I hope this helps I just want to know if this function is still in Logic Pro x or we have to go back to OLD SCHOOL way of doing this.

Screensets extend over all the monitors your computer sees, you can position windows on one, or the other, or size them to fit over both, so you can happily have for instance an arrange window on one monitor, and a mixer window on the other monitor, or stretch a giant arrange window over both...

Try this in a new empty project:
In the New Tracks box select a software instrument track, and un-check the Open Library box
You will see a track plus the channel in the Mixer
Click on the Input "Inst" button, and you will see a menu like this
Correctly installed 3rd party 64bit AU plugins will be in the AU Instruments sub-menu.

Hi there,
How do I delete locators in Logic Pro 8?
It seems I created them mistakenly, now I cannot delete them. I don't want to use them and
I don't need to cycle anything. I'm trying to set markers accurately to timecode on a video,
but it seems the locators are preventing me from doing so?!! I'm trying to match accurately
to the timecode frame and when I reach the unwanted locator it prevents me from moving
up a frame to the frame I want.

You can easily move locaters by dragging them. You disable them by turning off cycle mode in the transport bar. They are always there but when disabled should not be a problem.

There is no update, you have to purchase Logic 9 from the App Store, it's $199, which is close to the price of an update.
Warning, if you do purchase Logic 9 from the App store it will download 2GB of additional patches/sounds/loops...etc. This is for first time buyers so their App Store Logic will have some basics to work with before trying to download the additional 20+GB of loop/instrument data. If you have a full installtion of Logic 8 it's possible the 2GB of data Logic initially downloads will mess with the instruments and sounds you've been using, past projects may not load properly. Just something to be aware of.

Greets everyone...
I am a new user for Logic Pro X... and I am excited to try the Amps and Pedals etc.
Here's my sheet shot of what I have presenrtly
I can see that there are several options for sounds and tones, but what I am wondering is this... when I plug my guitar into "insert one" (PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL) I immediately here a clean tone... but, when I select a "crunch tone" I still hear that 'clean' tone along with my 'crunch' tone.
How do I rid myself of that clean tone so I can hear the effects (crunch tones, etc.)?

It sounds like you are hearing the Presonus "Direct" or Input monitoring... check the manual for the "Mixer Knob" etc.

No limit on reinstalling to the same machine, it will work fine.

Before I dive in and purchase Logic Pro from the app store I want to be sure I can install it on both my imac and my macbook at the same time.
This is because I tend to record on the macbook but like using the imac for the mixing etc.

The Mac App Store terms and conditions allow you to install an App bought via the App Store on as many Macs as you own or control, for private use, using your Apple ID and the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store Application.
Commerical use has somewhat different terms....

I have certain apps downloaded and installed on 7 different Macs here... without issue.
You are probably thinking about authorizing up to 5 Macs per Apple ID for eligible content (Music/Movies etc) in iTunes.... which is a different matter entirely... and even that changed recent to 10 devices with no more than 5 devices being authorized via iTunes... presumably to take into account the number of Mac owners who also own multple iOS devices as well as multiple Macs these days...
You may auto-download Eligible Content or download previously-purchased Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.

When I'm buying Logic Pro 9 ($200), on how many devices can I install it on. Like games bought in the app store can be downloaded on several devices, but what about Logic. I'm going to install it on two macs when I buy it and soon an iMac. Thanks!

You can install Logic on all the Macs you have for free without any problem. Just open App Store > Purchases and download Logic

How to download additional content for Logic Pro 9

Hey everyone,
I have just purchased Logic Pro 9 and I was downloading all of the Jam Packs available. However, I downloaded most of the Jam Packs until I was forced to restart my computer. Now, I have three Jam Packs left that have not downloaded and I was wondering how do I get back to the screen that tells me which ones I have yet to download? I have searched through the application and have yet to find it. Can someone please help me out?

How to create a podcast in Logic Pro X

Hi there! I do not currently own Logic Pro X but am considering purchasing it today. I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro retina and have been DJing for the past 5 years. In the past, I would create my mix as a WAV file, open up GarageBand, use GB's podcast tempalte to throw in my WAV file and chapter the 2 hour mix into various chapters (i.e. songs) so that I could identify each chapter (song) with a title, artwork, and download link.
Apparenlty the newest version of GarageBand (X, which comes with the new MacBook Pro retina) no longer supports podcasts.
So my question is whether Logic Pro X DOES support podcasts? Can I take my WAV file and chapter it with artowrk, title, and download links? Since there is no trial version I have been unable to test for myself.

No.. LPX doesn't provide any facilities specifically for podcasts.... and would probably be complete overkill for what you need...
Note:
The older version of GB that did support podcasting should still be present on your Mac as the new version of GB doesn't overwrite or remove the old version....
