How to show waveform in Vivado simulation window? The waveform is absent for some signals.

Hi,
I have the following verilog code:
`timescale 1ns / 1ps
module top(
reg clk = 1;
always
#1.25 clk <= ~clk;
wire temp;
//wire temp2; // added later
assign temp = clk;
//assign temp2 = clk; //added later
endmodule
 When I simulate this, I see "CLK" as expected but "temp" just has the value 1 and no waveform. When I uncomment the lines marked as "//added later", I can see "CLK" and "temp2" waveforms as expected. But "temp" is still stuck at 1 and there's not waveform for it.
Then I commented the lines marked as "//added later" again and there's not waveform for "temp". Then I renamed "temp" to "temp2" and simulated. This time I could see "CLK" and "temp2" waveforms in the simulation window toggling as expected.
It could be that I'm just not seeing the waveforms. For example in the first scenario, I'm just seeing a "1" and no waveform. There are also some other signals that when added to the wave window don't show a waveform. How can I enable the waveform?
Thanks,

I tried using a separate module for clock generation as you suggested. In my top level module I instantiate two clocks "CLK_20MHz" and "CLK_25MHz". When I simulate I can see the waveform of both clocks. Then, from the clock module, I add the register "CLK". However, I see no waveforms for "CLK". But when I add "$monitor("%d,\t%b",$time, CLK);" inside the clock module, I can see in the logs that "CLK" is actually toggling as expected. I don't know why the simulation window doesn't show the waveform? And how I can show/enable the waveform?

    When I open the "Save Page As" window, the drop-down box for the file name shows files that were saved long ago. This is not cleared by any "clear history" function that I can find. How do I clear this?

    Hello.
    I believe this is a Windows related issue, since it's the windows Save File manager we're talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help on that one, I believe. You'd expect to be able to delete the entries by simply tapping ''Delete'' on your keyboard when they are focused (that's how it goes for deleting specific form autocomplete entries in Firefox), but I haven't tried that.
    I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

    You already have a wireless router or have just bought one, or do you have an ad hoc connection from iMac to AppleTV?
    If things worked in the other location this all point to poor network performance/connectivity. It may be the connection is intermittently lost - small files transfer ok, but interruptions during longer transfers scupper the process.
    Interference from cordless phone bases or microwaves (and neighbours devices) might also cause connectivity issues.
    Signal strength bars are often not that useful, but will indicate connection to the main wireless device they connect to - so AppleTv may have a good connection to the router but a poor iMac connection to router is not displayed by AppleTV which only shows the connection to the first device in the chain.
    You could consider some home mains newtorking plugs such as those made by Devolo but they usually have to be on the same mains ring.

  • How can I get (using API) the current sort column for some report

    hello,
    How can I get (using API) the current sort column for some report ? For example something like "fsp_sort_1_desc" - if the user sorts by the first column ?
    I cannot use the :REQUEST for this, sometimes the current sort column is not in the :REQUEST, but it is still active.
    I thought it was posssible by using
    APEX_UTIL.GET_PREFERENCE (
    p_preference IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL,
    p_user IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT V('USER'))
    RETURN VARCHAR2;
    function, but I don't really know which preference should I pass as parameter.
    looking in WWV_FLOW_PREFERENCES$, i saw preferences_names like FSP4000_P527_R6281510839654570_SORT , I'm not sure how this name is formed.
    I'm using generic columns for that complex report (which has a flexible number of columns shown), and the idea is that sometimes I have to overwrite that sort column, in case the user chose the version of the report with fewer columns than the previous one.
    Can I get (using API) a list of all preferences set for some user ?
    Thank you,

    seems that it is FSP<app_number>P<pagenumber>R<regionnumber>_SORT.
    is there anyplace where I can get these kind of things documented ?
    Thank you.

  • How to show photos at 100% size in the Edit window?

    Background: I am using iWeb 1.1.1 to re-make my .Mac Homepage website; I love this newer, more flexible application and I love using iPhoto 6.0.4 with it.
    My iPhoto 6.0.4 question:
    How can I get the photos to show in their maximum size in the Edit box? There are some photos that I want to show as large as possible or even enlarge, and when the photos show at smaller than their exposed size, I feel disadvantaged.

    I welcome any advice you send. I am feeling a bad
    crunch right now because my graphics program of
    choice, Photoshop Elements 2, is not opening up for
    me (It's been stopping at the point where the message
    says: "Photoshop is not sending any personal

    It's here somewhere but.........
    This is very easy to fix. There are many threads
    here, at the Adobe forum and in any forum where PE is
    mentioned. Quit PE, then take your computer totally
    offline (unplug the ethernet cable, shut down airport
    if that's what you use). Now launch PE, then go to
    Preferences>Adobe Online and set Check for Updates to
    Never. There never were any, never will be now for PE
    2, so you won't miss anything.
    Barbara..... if there never were any updates to PE2 and never will be any, then why would I need to disallow updates?
    BTW, I discovered how to get the picture to show up full size. iPhoto 6 is different than iPhoto 4, and while experimenting with some edits I discovered the Small Head — Big Head toggle bar in the Edit Window, and that was my answer.

  • How to show thumbnails of an event on the same screen?

    In the iPhoto tutorial, it shows that when you start in the All Events screen and you double-click on the Event you want to open, what you get is a screen full of thumbnails from that Event. But when I double-click on the Event I want, it just brings me to an enlarged version of that single image, and I have to use left and right arrows to get to other images in that Event. I even went to iPhoto-Preferences-Events and under the option for "Double-click Event" I chose "Shows Event photos" but still all I get is the single image. So, how do I get all the thumbnails of one Event like in the tutorial? Thanks. Franklin

    Look to the lower right hand corner of our iPhoto window - the right hand side of the toolbar - the slider there is all the way to the right - move it toward the left until the desired number of thumbnails show.

  • AnyConnect pre Windows login connects and disconnects for some users

    Hi,
    I have Cisco VPN AnyConnect (version 3.1.0310) clients with a connectivity issue which manifests as follows:
    A user boots their Windows 7 SP1 laptop up.
    Before Windows login, the user clicks "switch user" and enters their Cisco AnyConnect credentials (this connects OK).
    Once the VPN tunnel is established a user logs into Windows.
    At this point, 1 of 2 things happen:
    1. Most users VPN connection stays connected and user GPO processing\logins work as normal
    2. For a minority of users, the VPN connection disconnects and then reconnects. The VPN disconnect and reconnect causes connectivity issues with mapped drives and Outlook (most likely due to GPO processing not applying as the VPN tunnel wasn't established at the required time).
    There are no known commanalities between problematic users - all users are in the same OU and laptops are in the same OU, so they should be getting the same AD settings. The same user can login 14 times OK, but may experience this issue on the 15th occasion.
    Within the profile xml file (stored in c:\program data\) the key "AutoConnectStart" is set to false for user controllable and default value. The XML policy settings are being applied correctly (we've checked Event ID 3010 within the Cisco AnyConnect Windows logs).
    What we have noticed from using the back end Cisco monitoring client is that users who experience connection issues, connect pre windows login OK, but once they're logged into Windows the Cisco VPN AnyConnects seems to try and re-connect, which causes the current VPN tunnel to disconnect and re-connect. This disconnect and re-connect for users seems to cause issues with logon and GPO processing.
    So far, the only rock solid way we've found of stopping this disconnect and re-connect behaviour is by configuring a system deny permission on registry key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run". This key contains an entry for Cisco AnyConnect VPN. Unfortunately setting a deny on the individual node value isn't possible and if the key is deleted or modified the system re-creates it. I'd rather avoid setting a system deny on the key for all users.
    Any advice on how troubleshoot and diagnose this problem is appreciated.
    Thanks

    I've attached some log files in case someone is particularly keen eyed at spotting issues (all data is anonymized)

  • Before I had a lot of games. I was on the computer trying to sync/backup my games in the computer, but now for some reason, all of my games are gone. How do I get them back?

    Hello, my name is Octavia Hall. I was on the computer and I was just trying to sync/backup all of my games so that way, if I accidentally delete on of my game(s), then i would go on the computer and get it back. Now, for some reason, my games are now gone, how do I get them back?

    Did you set up your phone to sync Contacts with iCloud? If not sure, you can log in to https://www.icloud.com and see if your contacts are there.

  • Why isn't the SD option working for some tv shows?

    For convenience sake, I download a lot of tv shows, and I have always had the option of choosing SD or HD. For some shows (for example, Devious Maids) it will only let me choose HD now, though I have bought it in SD before. Most of the shows are still available in SD on Amazon, but I prefer iTunes. Anybody else experiencing this and does anyone have an explanation?

    Either your words are not 3D layers or your Composition is set to Front View. You must be looking at the Active Camera view to see what the camera moves will look like when rendered.
    If that doesn't solve your problem then select the camera layer and the text that is not moving, press the U key twice to reveal all modified properties and send us a full resolution screenshot by dragging it into the Reply field on this forum.

  • T COde CS15 : Report is not showing the "Alternative BOM No" for some BOMs

    Hello Guru,
    I am facing a problem for the transaction CS15, when I use this transaction, in the output for some materials, system is not showing "Alternative number" of BOM.
    I cheked Deletion indicator, status of the BOM, validity period etc.
    But unable to get the reason why system is not showing alternative BOM number for the some materials / BOMs.
    Thanks to give your expert comments or solution.
    Thanks in advance
    Hemant

    Hi Hemant,
    please check in CS02 if those top level BOm's which dont show alternative BOm number in CS15, do they really have alternatives?
    the most probale reaosn why alternative is not shown is they dont have any alternate BOM or they are variant BOMs.
    please check.

  • How stop the timeline via code for some seconds?

    Hi NG,
    how can i stop the timeline for some seconds? Is there any code exaple for me?
    Thanks...
    TELLO

    What about using some javascript timing events maybe something like this should work:
    function resumePlay() {
         sym.play();
    function stopPlay(secs) {
         sym.stop();
         setTimeout(function(){resumePlay()},secs * 1000);
    // stop the default timeline for 3 seconds
    stopPlay(3);
    NOTE: this example ONLY stops the default timeline where the code is inserted. If there are other symbols playing independently, they won't stop. Also, notice it's an asynchronous call, so if an event occurs during the time lapse and triggers a "play" action, the animation will resume immediately.
