How to stably know the status of streams?

I found that application.onUnpublish sometimes won't be called when a stream stops publishing:
application.onUnpublish = function(client,streamObj){
What's the more stable way to know the publishing status of a stream?

onUnpublish should trigger when a particular stream stops publishing - if not i would say its bug which needs to be resolved - do you have reproable scenario where publishing stops and unpublish is not called.

Attachment Downloading in Mail - How do you know the status of the download

Hi,
I'm trying to send a keynote presentation from my iMac to my MacBook and it doesn't seem to be working. The attachment shows up in my email, I click on it, and it doesn't really do anything. Is there a way to check the status of the download, or clear all the downloads for mail? I think it's just the size of the file, because pages files work, and even very small keynote files, but not a 3 slide keynote presentation.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

In short a Local Area Network is your network at home. Both your computers are somehow conncted to the internet. Most people don't want to afford seperate internet lines for each computer they own, so they build a LAN.
Many internet providers will give you a modem with more than one network port so you can plug in more than one computers. If there's only one port, most people connect a router to get more ports. If you have wireless at home, you also have a LAN.
Now to the better options: On both copmuters: Go to system preferences > Sharing. Enable File Sharing. To learn more about it, just click on the question mark button at the lower right.
After you did this, open a Finder window. In the sidebar there will be a new item: Shared. If you open the triangle you'll see the computer name of your other computer. This can take a few seconds to show up.
Now you just place the files you want to share in your Public folder so the other Mac can access it.

How can I know the status of a Row?

a "Row" (oracle.jbo.Row) has a method "setNewRowState" to change is status to either STATUS_NEW or STATUS_INITIALIZED.
But I can't find out how to check the current status of a Row. Is it possible?
The problem is that I have created a page with some field associated to a VO based only on SQL (not on one EO).
On submit I should check if the user has changed some values in order to decide what I have to do. How can do that?

There is no method in VO to figure this out, in most cases where the VO is based on a EO, the EO state (getEntityState) can let you know about VO changes, but since your VO is not based on EO, this is a problem.
I can think of two workarounds:
1. use isDirty() method on OADBTransactionImpl to find out if some VO has changed, but this would return true if there were multiple VOs and even if some other VO which you dont want to refer is changed.
So this solution holds good if the AM has only your VO which only can make the transaction dirty.
2. Another solution is, have a original copy of the VO prior to submit and on submit you can compare the copy with the current VO attributes to figure out if something changed.

When a record is being updated by a form, if you create a Pre-Update trigger on the block, the trigger will run for each record being updated.
Same thing happens with a Pre-Insert and Pre-Delete trigger.

How can i know the servlet is running or not?

Hi all,
I have a doubt regarding servlet. I created one servlet and deployed in server. Now i called (RUN) the servlet from the browser. And it is running. Now can i know that the servlet is running or not in the server without seeing in the browser. Can we know the status of the servlet with its URL in the server whether it is running or not?
Let me explain my problem. In my servlet it will run continously read one table and do some operation depending on the entries in that table. Now i called the servlet from the browser. After some time i closed the browser. If browser is there i can know whether servlet is running or not. But now how can i know that servlet is running or not. Becoz eventhough we closed the browser the servlet will run in the background. How can i achieve this?

With first call, the servlet will be loaded, and it remains so until server-shutdown, but you need a timer-mechanism execute method calls continuously.
