How to transform an image into this ?
most 3d picture wall animations do this. how do i make the transformation in flash, either by hand or by action script or both?
e.g.
initial image
the transformed img (the entire image should take the form of trapezium)
transformed image should not be like this- in this case, parts of the image is cut off in the black parts.
If you use CS4 you can do the following:
1. import your picture to stage
2. hit f8 chose moviclip as your symbol type and press ok
3. hit ctrl+t and under 3D rotation enter the required amount of degrees you want to turn the image.

How can I transform an image into a different design?
I've used the Distort effects in AE to modify the following video:
Into this:
I'm a pretty pleased with the results. I simply used the Transform and Mirror effects.
However, I have a bunch of other designs which I can't distort into a good alternative design by using the same method. Here is an example:
I am hoping some of you very clever people can come up with a method I can use for transforming this sort of design into something decent!

I realise this is a broad question. I will elaborate on the images from my first post in order to provide more details:
1) I have generated a number of animated designs, the blue image when animated looks like moving electricity. All of the designs are geometric patterns of one form or another. I have around 50 of these designs.
2) I want to create variations on these geometric animations. Rather than start from scratch and create a brand new design (which is a lengthy process), I want to use the effects in After Effects to create variations. In the example I provided, I took the blue design and used a number of effects to create the green design.
3) Essentially, I now have two different animations. The blue original, and the green variation.
4) Here is my question. Are there any specific effects within After Effects, that allow me to distort an image/animation to such a degree that it essentially looks like a different image/animation? So far, I have used Transform and Mirror.
I gave Kaleidoscope a try, and that gave some good results, so thanks for that suggestion.
5) The problem I am having is that some of my other designs are more or less 'symmetrical' in appearance - like the yellow image from my first post. The Transform, Mirror and Kaleidoscope effects do not really distort the symmetrical animations enough. This is because they simply tend to either rotate the image (which is a circle, so rotating it does little), or they mirror the design (which again does little as the image is a circle). So, are there any other effects I can choose which will distort a symmetrical geometrical design, whilst still retaining a degree of geometric appearance?

But I failed to store webcam snapshot. I captured that image on Panel component.I converted that image to ByteArray. Now I want to save that image into the database. Please help me in this regard.

How to insert dummy image into PDF
I am trying to insert signatures into our Custom Purchase Order that I am building in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro. I can find plenty of documentation on how to do this via an RTF in Word Template Builder, but nothing on inserting the dummy image. Currently, we are using Sigfile field in report with a URL link to the jpeg of the signature, at runtime, only the link shows up on the PDF not the picture of the signature, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think what you are asking for is something similiar I have done for a check printing report where you have a voided image of a signature, then place the real signature at run time.
So insert the dummy image into your RTF. Have the path to the real image in the XML file, and then in the properties for the image, there is a Web tab. Put the following there:
url:{CP_SIGNIMAGEPATH}
Where CP_SIGNIMAGEPATH is the path to the image.

How to import PDF image into Pages manuscript that is larger than the text bed margins
How do I import a PDF image into a Pages book manuscript, whose dimensions are larger than the global text bed margins? Any imported PDF image is automatically shrunk to fit within the text bed. I know I can set up a single page with wider margins and a text bed within it, but I want the image to import to a page already within the manuscript sequence, where the text bed margins are set and constant.

Try this.I did and was at first confused because I expected the code to arrive on-screen looking like the screen-shot at the page. Then it occured to me to type some text including a smiley, and it changed to the icon as expected.

I've created a white lower third rectangle and I want an image of the newspapers logo to be inside of the white lower third rectangle.

Great advice! That's working fine.
But....my white lower third rectangle has a fill opacity of 88%. When I've inserted the newspaper's logo into this rectangle, obviously the logo (which is white with blue text) has an opacity of 100%. But when I lower the logo opacity to 88% I lose the logo's white, but also the actual text of the logo too which is a problem.
So I'm now thinking, is it possible to lower fill opacity from left to right in my rectangle? If so, this would allow the left hand side of my rectangle to stay at 100% fill opacity, which would match the white fill of the newspapers logo, and I could gradually reduce the opacity as the rectangle goes right, fading out towards the end.

How to divide an image into 100+ grids
Hi
I have a problem here;
I need to divide an image into 100 or more grids on client side and I need to get the id of a clicked grid on server side. I found some mapping ways but it seemed too hard to achieve. I achieved to get coordinates of mouse click but this time if user uses control button + mouse scroll, all coordinates of the image changes. Can anyone offer me a solution.ı am working on adf faces they wanted me to do that on server side. But I am very new at this and I am really confused right now. How can I map 100+ sub images like one big image. I saw some examples on web but they include just two or three mappings but how to do this mapping with many?? I tried to do this by taking coordinates of click and calculating which grid is clicked but everything fails if user resizes the window.
If there is a way to do that I was thinking of storing path of every grid on a list at server side and putting an image on the screen for every element of that list and by this way I could easly get which grid is clicked by just taking the id of clicked image. Can anyone help me to do this.???
