Hi All,
i populated table from resultsettablemodel.
I modified some rows and column of table,now i lke to save changes into database.
is it any way so that i can save modified changes into populated resultsettablemodel and save it to database.

he seems confused between the word "datum" and "date".
Datum does not mean date :)
I'd like to see the ORA error designator. It usually can help you find out exactly what you did wrong, as there are books and websites explaining them in detail.

How to update a table in database

Hi.
i am working on HR system. I have developed a form of report engine. Report Engine form contains no any database table but text items, buttons and options.
I have placed a button and in its when button press triger i wrote a procedure to update a table record as:
Update Empbiodata
Set Status = 'Retired'
Where Status = 'On Duty'
but that button is not updating the database record. when i add a line of Commit_form, after that i faced the error message there is no change to save.
I have run this code on SQL prompt and saw working well.
please solve the problem that why this code is not working in button press trigger in the form.

1st tell me the update column is a database item or not ?

I diplayed an ALV grid with five fields in a classical report. I have already set the fieldcat for one field as wa_fcat_edit = 'X'. I am able to edit(modify) the data in that field. But I want to update the data into the database which is modified by me in that field. Can I update the data using BDC or any other procedure?
This is an urgent require ment for me. Please help me ASAP.

Maybe you can use the following to find out where the cursor is, then check if that field has been updated:
SYSTEM.CURSOR_ITEM
Description
SYSTEM.CURSOR_ITEM represents the name of the block and item, block.item, where the input focus (cursor) is located.
The value is always a character string. hi Bob!

I am developeing some self service application thru Oracle Application Framework(OAF). There I am fetching 5 attributes from the database and displaying those attributes in my main page Table Region. Now my requirement is i want to edit that exising values & again i want to store it in the databse while clicking the update button. so first i have created one VO for fetching the values from the database & i make one Table Region in my main page along with 5 MessageTextInput field.. & i mapped that VO's attributes to my textbox.Now i can able to fetch & display the values inside the text box while rendering the page.
But I dont know how to update the values in the database. Caz in my VO I have only select query. So anyone plz send me the code for update. And also plz let me know where to insert that code..whether (CO or AM or EO)..it is very urgent.

Note that the default JavaBean datacontrol does not allow create/remove and transaction operations. These apis are not implemented for the JavaBean datacontrol.
You may re-initialize the rowsetiterator, by calling ((oracle.adf.model.generic.DCRowSetIteratorImpl)iteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator()).clearCurrentData().
This will force the RSI to refresh it's data via the named-accessor again.

The error occurs in the UPDATE statement included in the code. In this statement it is seen that there is a mismatch of structure defined for the DDIC table /tdk/st0027 and that of your work area th_final.
try to create a structure w.r.t the DDIC table.
Eg: DATA: wa_temp TYPE /tdk/st0027.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING th_final TO wa_temp.
Then try to UPDATE using the temporary work area i.e wa_temp which has structure similar to that of the database table.

this field is only updated when you do a goods receipt.
So the only BAPI that can do this is the BAPI GoodsMovement (BUS2017)
