How to open, edit and compile the order import program.

PrevinWhile you can access the OLE objects in C#.NET, the JSObject was designed as a bridge to VB.NET. Since the real power of what you can do with Acrobat automation comes from the JSObject, it would be very difficult to do that you want from C#.NET - or you would at least be limited in what you can do beyond basic functionality.
Also, a full version of Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional would need to be installed on each client system. Reader will not work for what you want to do. Each end user running your application will require an installation of Acrobat. -
How to use built-in OS commands
In adobe Air applications, by default, we have an Application
menu (in Mac) and a Windows menu (in windows), featuring File and
Edit menus. Under the Edit menu, there are standard commands (Cut,
Copy, Paste, Select All) etc.
Is there any way, I can programmatically call a menu command
(Say "Copy"). That is, say by clicking on a button? I have tried
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.Copy() and such, but these are
not reliable, especially out of the application sandbox. I was able
to refer the menuItem "Copy" as
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.menu.getItemAt(2).submenu.getItemAt(1).label
which was correctly traced as "Copy" menuItem of native menu
in
adl, and similarly in my own air app as well (on my mac
machine), however, I don't know how to invoke that method by a
button click.
I have also tried to dispetch the select event by
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.menu.getItemAt(2).submenu.getItemAt(1).dispatchEvent(n ew
Event(Event.SELECT));
and
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.menu.getItemAt(2).submenu.getItemAt(1).dispatchEvent(n ew
MenuEvent(MenuEvent.SELECT));
which both are traced "true", however, nothing is copied to
clipboard (which is suppossed to be selected text in a text area).
Any help on this? My exact requirement is to mimic/generate
the application menu click event ("Copy"), which is the only thing
that works perfectly when done using mouse click on the actual
menu. I just want to do it programmatically, by calling the same
copy function on a button click.
thanks in advance...
MitsThank you peers for your feedback. I appreciate it verymuch.
@ Reider: Yes, I considered this, and hence I tried to call
the NativeApplication.nativeApplication.Copy() on MouseEvents such
as click, mouseup, mousedown etc. of the embedded pdfobject itself,
so that it doesn't loose focuse. It didn't work either. I also
tried preventDefault() in combination with pdfObject.getFocus()
methods (that is to say, restore focus back to the pdf object),
which didn't work either. I will try the other focus events
suggested by you.
@ Joe ... Ward: I agree, but here is the situation. I am not
able to provide any reference to selected text (which is in a adobe
reader plugin, not the application sandbox.). So I can not put the
selected text on the clipboard without telling (referencing) the
clipboard what to put in it. I am not able to copy the text by
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.Copy() method, and as far as I
beleive, it is not the focus problem. However, when I select the
text in the pdf object (wrapped in a htmlloader control) and select
"copy" from the application menu "Edit" in adl and my air app both,
I can get the text copied to the clipboard. So I think the
application menu command copy is different then
NativeApplication.nativeApplication.Copy(). Correct me if I am
wrong. Any other ideas? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks again for your feedback.

General Overview on How to use Final Cut Studio to create a Blu-Ray DVD
I am a new user of Final Cut Studio and need an experienced user to give my a progression guide on how to create a Blu-Ray DVD of my recent Alaska Trip. Last month I spend 8 days in Alaska visiting Denali and Juneau primarily. During that time I took about 100 short video clips (HD 1080p) and 570+ still photos with my Canon 7D. I have experimented with some pieces of the software and have created a Blu-Ray disk using Final Cut Pro and Compressor. However my goal is to create this DVD with menus that will play short clips (some narrated) and still photos(also some narration). I did a short one in DVD Studio Pro this morning but need some general guidance on what progression and programs to use to create this project. I was not able to take my video from the Studio Pro Sequence I created for my 1st DVD I had to take the original clips which were processed using Apple ProRes 422 and copy them in one at a time and then find the audio (on the voice overs) I created and also place them into DVD Studio Pro one at a time. I obviously need some guidance on the proper progression.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the situation...
DVD Studio Pro will not do the trick for you - it doesn't do blu-ray discs. If you want to do Blu-ray you've got to use either Final Cut Pro's "Export" command or Compressor's "Burn Blu-ray disc" template. The downside to both of these approaches is that you can't burn more than one title (or movie, etc.) using Final Cut Studio.
To do what you want to do, you need Toast (at least). Toast will auto-generate menus but will let you put more than one title per slide (so you can put multiple slideshows on the same disc).
If you want to do full-on customizing of menus and multi-level menus, for that you need Adobe's Encore.
My suggestion - Get Toast. Encore is close to $800.
Here's your progression (at least the one I use).
Edit in Final Cut Pro (ProRes 422 is fine, ProRes 422 LT would do the trick as well)
Export as QuickTime movies (original settings)
In Compressor using the H.264 for Blu-ray setting and Dolby Digital setting and create elementary streams for video (.264 file) and audio (.ac3). Make sure these files have identical names except for the extension.
Using toast, add the video file to the Toast project and it'll find the audio file.
Burn away! -
How do you use Final Cut Pro which I might start using on my Mac Mini
Step 1: Read through the manual/help files. Pay particular attention to system requirements and set up.
Step 2: Install the application.
Step 3: Do some tutorials.
Step 4: Refer to the manual/help files when you run into questions while working on the tutorials.
Step 5: Capture or import footage into your first real project.
Step 6: Use what you learned from the manual/help files and tutorials to edit your video.

How to Hide "Edit WebPart" menu in SharePoint
Hi,
Actually my requirement is, i want to hide the "Edit WebPart" menu.
How should i do it?
Thanks & Regards
Poomani SankaranThere is no property or Attribute on the side of the Webpart Itself which can Trigger not displaying the EditMenu at all. The Menu is built by the Webpartmanager which Displays the "Edit"-Menu. It hides the edit-menu only when the Webpart is in
personalization-mode and "Allow Edit" is set false.
the decompiled part of the SPWebpartManager:
if (!part.AllowEdit && this.PersonalizationMode)
menuItem5.Visible = false;
(meniItem5 is the indexed Item of the EditMenu).
So, you have to do client-side by using some Javascript (which of course could be loaded with your Webpart, giving ist curent ID, checking if page is in editmode and moving up the parents and search for the control, ...) -
How do i edit, cut or trim a guitar track?
I dont seem to be able to edit cut delete or drag highlight sections of guitar tracks, can anyone help?
Otherwise might have to go back to 08.
Thanks Malcfirst make sure you know the difference between tracks and regions on tracks.
tracks are the 'channels' that regions (of audio or MIDI clips/segments) sit on. the regions are the musical data (auido or MIDI) and the tracks are the way that data is processed. audio regions are processed through effects and amp models and MIDI are processed through 'tone generators' or instruments to turn them into audio and then they are processed like audio regions on audio tracks.
when you select a Track by clicking in the Track Header where the Track Icon, Name, and Mute/Solo/Monitor/Record buttons are, ALL of the regions on that track are selected —UNLESS you have the Cycle Button turned on. If Cycle is on, it will only select the regions within the cycle span. You can still click on any region to select it, but if you paste a copied region it will go on the selected Track at the PlayHead cross hair.
SO make sure you are selecting the right Track and have the PlayHead at the right position for cutting and pasting. If you select the Track Head then all the regions will be selected. Click on a blank space in the Work Area (NOT on a Track Head and NOT on a region) to deselect all regions and then click on the individual region you want to edit.
You do not need to select a region to cut it, only to copy it. to split and paste regions,
select the Track that has the region you want to cut or the one you want to paste the copied region to and use the PlayHead as the location for splitting and pasting.
notice in the picture above that when you select the TrackHeader while Cycle is on it only selects the regions that are at least partially inside the Cycle Area. the middle region starts inside the Cycle Area and thus is selected, however, the last region is wholly outside the Cycle Area and thus is not selected. It can be selected by clicking on it directly.
Also notice this track is locked so region can not be split or deleted or added without unlocking it.
(see menu item Track > Track Header > Show Track Lock) -
How to use Final Cut Pro with multiple user accounts?
Hi,
I want to use Final Cut Pro on a clean user account. How do I set it up? How can I access my old FCP library and still work on it from multiple users?
Also, I want my DropBox account to back-up my media. Any tips?I use external drives as backup. But I don't trust them. And in case of fire or what ever...It is of no use...
But I agree on your comment about DropBox. It would have been the perfect solution though.
What else is there?
I have a 2TB HD but these projects are huge and still growing - so I have to move my projects to several external drives. So maybe I should just work directly from external drives and skip the partition of the computers main drive? I am thinking of the disadvantage of reducing the total storage of the disk. -
How to use Final Cut pro with external hard drive?
I have too little space on my computer so I have to use final cut pro x with an external hard drive, but whenever I have the hard drive plugged in and Final cut going, my computer goes very slow. I just upgraded to 16gb ram... but can't seem to run FCP x while an external hard drive is plugged in. FCP just freezes up and I have to force quit.
craigbuckley wrote:
all the files and events in final cut are still on my internal, so my internal drive is still full.... Do I have to go and delete everything off my internal?
In addition to the excellent advice to keep your media on an external HDD, you need to make sure that your system (boot) drive has a decent amount of free space if you want to have a satisfactory editing experience. Many people recommend not going below 20% free space. That's especially so for the boot drive, but as you fill up the external, its performance will also slow. Ideally, we would have separate media and backup drives,
You don't need to "delete everything". Rather, you first figure out what needs to be moved. You copy those files to the other drive and then verify that all the files you copied are in two locations. At that point you can delete those files from your boot drive.
Good luck.

Solaris 8: how to use the adb execution commands in mdb?
Hi,
I want to execute some adb commands like the :c, :b, etc, in mdb, but the mdb always prompt:"mdb: invalid command ':c': unknown dcmd name". So how can I use those commands?
Thanks.Yes, I am using the mdb on my application. I start mdb and attach one process, and I use the 0xnnnnn:b, the mdb's output :
mdb: invalid command ':b': unknown dcmd name.
The mdb document describe that the mdb support adb's commands, but the mdb's command ::dcmds does not list some adb's commands like the :b, :c. so Why ? And how to use these commands?
Thanks. -

How to use -open option at command prompt
Can someone update me with how to use -open option while launching javaws from command prompt. Sun documnetation (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/share/javaws.html#runoptions) is not very clear.
I am trying to do something like this
javaws -open prop1 firstName prop2 lastName http://myapp.jnlp
However the above does not work. It says incorrect argument firstName.
Cheers
AmitThe syntax as present in JWS documentation
javaws [run-options] <jnlp>
[run-options] Command-line run-options. run-options may be in any order. For a discussion of the various run-options, see RUN-OPTIONS below.
<jnlp> This can be either the path of, or the Uniform Resource Locater (URL) of the JNLP (Java Network Launching Protocol) file. -
[Forum FAQ]How to use Azure Cross-Platform Command-Line interface in Mac OS
1. Download the installer on Microsoft Azure website.
Figure 1.
2. Open the DMG file and install the following package.
Figure 2.
3. Open Terminal (Mac OS build-in), type “azure login” and enter your azure account to login.
(Note: you can login only via a Microsoft organizational account or service principal.) We used a Microsoft account to connect. (Figure 3)
Figure 3.
After that, we can use the commands to manager Azure instances and services. You can type “azure help” to list all the available commands.
Figure 4.
If you want to view the detailed information for a specific command, you can type “azure help xxx”. For example, we can run “azure
help vm” to list all the commands for managing Azure Virtual Machines.
Figure 5.
In the figure below, we used the “vm create” command to create a new virtual Machine (testmachine002) in a new cloud service (testmachine003)
and virtual network (vnet1).
Figure 6.
To obtain the image name, you can type “azure vm image list”:
Figure 7.
After the “vm create” command executed, we can find that the Virtual Machine(testmachine002) is created in Azure management portal.
Figure 8.
