How to use xperf in buffering mode to take last events

Hi
I have not found good examples, how to use xperf in buffering mode (or something like that).
I would want to record my last events to memory (circular buffer) continously. And sometimes (when problems occurs) i want to take "snapsot" from memory to etl-file. Then it is possible to see what has happened before problem was occured.
By the way are there exist some another forums to ask that kind of question ? This forum seem to be almost dead sometimes. Difficult to got answers.

I already use stackwalk (xperf -on base -stackwalk Profile), but i think that is not main point.
I would want to use only command line (from .bat-files). I would need two .bat-files (for example):
- start_writing_to_circular_buffer.bat (This is started at the beginning of the tracing)
- take_snapshot_from_circular_buffer_to_etl_file.bat (This is started many times: every time it is a need to take "snapshot")
My software knows correct time for "snapshot", when it calls take_snapshot_from_circular_buffer_to_etl_file.bat.

How to change it to CDMA COZ I NEED TO USE IT AS CDMA MOBILE

I've got a problem with my Toshiba P200 laptop (PSPBOE). De laptop doesn't boot anymore, only when i press fn+B which means he boots in to crisis recovery mode. But now you have to create a disk with phlash16 + a bios.wph file. But i don't know which one i have tried 16 different versions of phlash16.exe with the usb fdd which he does read.

It sounds like you have a Toshiba Europe model. I would recomend you contact them or use the European forums. I have not heard of a Fn+B function for the American models. And it sounds like the BIOS flash procedure is different as well.

How to use my non-iCloud email with iCloud calendar events

Is there a way to use my regular email address (non iCloud) to receive iCloud invites?
My contacts don't know my iCloud account, they only know my regular email address so they will send messages, calendar invites, etc to my regular email which is not my iCloud account.
Although I can accept invites to any account, there isn't the same level of integration with iOS and OS X apps that you get when the invite is sent to an iCloud account. (i.e. they don't appear in Calendar, you have to accept them from an email and it sends you off to iCloud.com) or you have to download the .ics file to add it, etc.
Is there a way to link that regular email address to my iCloud account so that invites and messages to that email are treated as though they were sent to my regular iCloud account and I can accept, reject directly from the calendar applications on either my iOS or OS X device?

You can sign in with your @me.com address in System Preferences>iCloud and check Mail in the checklist there - this will reactivate the address, though you will not be able to retrieve any data previously stored on MobileMe.

How to use peeklock/delete pattern to handle messages in event hub?

I have a consumer group with multiple consumers. If one consumer failed to process the message (by some internal reasons. not poison), I want it just leave that message and let other consumers have chance to process it again. previous I use service bus queue/topic,
the peeklock/delete pattern with the dead-letter queue can easily achieve this. Now by some reason I switch event hub,
Is there still some way to achieve this? what is the recommended way to handle this in event hub?

There's no lock and delete concept in EventHubs. Please think EH as a stream of events where you can rewind back in time and start reading from wherever you want. For example as in your case if one of the clients fail to process an event any other client
can start reading from that position where first client failed. Let me know if you have additional questions.
I suggest you to read about EventProcessorHosts for EventHubs. This is probably what you're looking for.

Has anyone figured out how to use EventCombMT to do "text" searches of server event logs? I doesn't seem to work.

I know I can do this in powershell, but gosh I don't need a complex powershell script to do what this eventcombmt gui does so easily for quick searches. I just wish I could figure out why text based searches of logs. For example, suppose
you want to search events for a user a server may have logged, if I type in "user1" nothing is retrieved and yes it's there. Searching for events works flawlessly but I can't seem to get text based searches to work.

How to return a specific date/time range and last event details, when checking the event log via command prompt

I am new to scripting (literally started reading/learning scripting a few hours ago), and I am stuck in trying to get my current script/command to filter a specific date range.
* Note: I am working with Server 2003 and 2008; because of the environment I am in, a lot of scripts (such as Powershell and VBScript) don't work; trying to stick with command line, as it appears to be the only thing that functions correctly in my environment
I am trying to search the System log in event viewer, for the most recent server reboot. Here is the command that I am currently running:

Using MQ in client mode vs bindings

Is there any documentation available on how to configure WLS 8.1 sp3 to use MQ in client mode instead of bindings mode?
          Our infrastructure folks do not like having queue managers local to our Weblogic layer, and are insisting that we use client mode. The "Using Foreign JMS Providers with WebLogic Server" whitepaper explains how to use MQ in bindings mode. Is there a similar HOWTO on using client mode?

Hi,
          In order to use client mode with XA, you must install the Extended Transactional Client. This installation will give you and additional jar file "com.ibm.mqetclient.jar" that needs to be in the server classpath. You can still use the .bindings file with file:/ protocol in your configuration. When you create the bindings for the XA connection factory, you just need to specify the host, port, and transport mode, e.g. in JMSAdmin utility:
          def xaqcf(mqTestQCFXA) host(192.168.1.100) port(1414) transport(client)

You can't use iCloud to store data that you want to be able to access without having it on your phone. You will still have a copy of the data on your phone so you can access it with you aren't connected to the internet. And if you delete any synced data from your phone, it is also deleted from iCloud. In other words, iCloud is designed to sync your data across your devices, stream photos between your devices, and back up your devices. It can't be used to increase the capacity of your devices by offloading data to iCloud, and purchasing additional storage in iCloud doesn't give you more storage on your phone.
The only exception to this is if you subscribe to iTunes Match. If you do, you can access your iTunes music library (subject to some restrictions) from iCloud without having to store it all on your phone. But even here, when you play your music, it still downloads to your phone in the background.
If you need to free up space on your phone you'll have to delete or sync some of your existing data off it in order to free up space.

I'm just wondering why and when do you use tag?

In that example two labels are added to each new cell when it's created in the tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath: data source method. The OP wants to change the text in one of those labels when its cell is selected by the user, and the code to do that is in the tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: delegate method.
But how does the delegate code get the address of either label, and how does it tell one label from the other? This problem is solved by using the 'tag' property of each label. Note that the code which creates the labels includes statements to set each of the tags. The left label tag is set to 1, and the right label tag is set to 2. The delegate method then sends the [viewWithTag:|http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/UIKit/Ref erence/UIViewClass/UIView/UIView.html#//appleref/doc/uid/TP40006816-CH3-SW26] message to the selected cell. When the integer '1' is passed as the argument, the viewWithTag: method returns the address of the first subview it finds with a tag value of '1'.

How to use column with linkToItem in the Basic Table view style mode

I have already changed a normal column that I made to a column with linkToItem as follows.

and it worked.
But this column works only at the default view style mode in my case.
Does anyone know how to use linkedToItem column in the Basic Table mode?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use linkToItem in the Basic Table view style.
Per my test, in the Default style view, we need to use linkToItem=”TRUE”. However, in Basic Table style view, we need to use LinkToItem=”TRUE” instead.

How to use a secondary monitor in Portrait mode

Finally discovered how to do this. Here is how to use a second monitor in portrait mode:
Open System Preferences from your iMac dock.
Click Displays - Click Arrangement - Click Gather Windows - the secondary monitor dialog box opens.
Click Rotation - Click 90 degrees rotation for PORTRAIT MODE.
Click CONFIRM on the secondary monitor to keep Portrait mode.
Select the desired resolution. I chose 1200 x 1920.
You'll see a dialog box that says, "About to change the display mode."
Click OKAY.
Click Confirm. (If it appears. For some resolutions, I did not have to click confirm, most likely because the monitor supports those resolutions.)
Then resize the windows of the software you're using.
Done!

I too got the same. Both monitors went portrait. Then I unchecked the 'Mirror Display' option in the Arrangment tab of iMac display and voila. Got what I wanted.
