How to view a function in a table?

Hello,
Say that I insert a sum in a cell in a table. When I hover the mouse over the cell with the sum, I see nothing.
I haven't found another way to view the function than hitting Option + Return.
In Numbers there's a special bar that displays the functions, but I haven't found such a bar in Pages.

Pages isn't a Spreadsheet app so it seems that the designers thought that a direct access to the Functions Browser wasn't a priority.
Of course, you may link a custom shortcut to this menu item.

How to call a function with generic table parameter

Hi everybody
I need to call function module RSAR_ODS_API_GET (from BW). It recive an internal table with request ids and should return in E_T_DATA "unstructured" data from the psa and in E_T_RSFIELDTXT the description of the data structure, I guess
from sap help only thing I have reggarding how to use the function module is :
"You can call up the function module RSAR_ODS_API_GET with the list of request IDs given by the function module RSSM_API_REQUEST_GET. The function module RSAR_ODS_API_GET no longer recognizes InfoSources on the interface, rather it recognizes the request IDs instead. With the parameter I_T_SELECTIONS, you can restrict reading data records in the PSA table with reference to the fields of the transfer structure. In your program, the selections are filled and transferred to the parameter I_T_SELECTIONS.
The import parameter causes the function module to output the data records in the parameter E_T_DATA. Data output is unstructured, since the function module RSAR_ODS_API_GET works generically, and therefore does not recognize the specific structure of the PSA. You can find information on the field in the PSA table using the parameter E_T_RSFIELDTXT."
unfortunately I when running de report bellow, I get a dump which says:
Function parameter "E_DATA" is unknown
in the definition of the interface E_DATA has no type, which means it can recive any table type, right?
So I have two questions?
1) How to get the code working
2) How do I use the parameter E_T_RSFIELDTXT to parse the data returned in E_DATA
by debuging RSSM_API_REQUEST_GET for this code I found it try to put an internal table with the struct of the database table /BIC/B0000151000 in E_DATA

How to use aggregate function on internal table

I am beginner in abap.I want to use sum function on internal table.
I have structure as follow:

       cust type bsad-kunnr,

i fetched data successfully into it_ftab from bkpf and bsad table and displyed into alv.
now i want sum of amt using group by cust and want to display like
cust        total_amt
in next screen...
displying part is not important but how can i do sum of amt according to cust value? Is there in way to query on internal table?

How to view the schema of a table?

I have a table and would like to use the schema as a base to create other similar tables, however I couldn't find much information on how to retrieve the schema of a table in windows azure database.

We dont have exact functionalities of Table settings in normal table.But some useful functionalities we have those are
1. To create the header( set_header & get_header).
2. To set text( set_text & get_text).
3. Set_visible.
4. set_tooltip.
5. set-read_only
6. set_toolbar & get_toolbar
you can achieve maximum functionalities using cl_wd_table if in case you want to use table instead of table.

How to implement copy functionality in advanced table

hi all, i have a advanced table with some data populated, all the rows has a checkbox where the user can select the rows which he wants, my requirement is how to implement copy functionality, i,e i need to show the same set of rows which the user selected in the same advanced table. can any one give me an idea of how to do this

You can copy the key of the selected rows to the copy page and based on those keys render the rows. On this copy page, once user commits after any modification to data, read those rows and save with new keys.

I suggest you to read the documentation of INTAX through PE04. You will have a better understanding of the calculation process.

How to View master data & Trasaction data tables for Puchasing Cube

Hi BW masters,
How should I check which tables (Master data tables and Transaction data tables) are involved with Business Content Cube(Purchasing data 0PUR_C01). I would like to know this information in order to go to that table and browse the data in that table. Where should we go and check this out.

hi Syed,
to view tables' content you can use SE16,
you can try infocube name, dimension tables of cube are store in *d[infocube name]1 to F, fact tables are f[infocube name] and e[infocube name]-compress,
infocube data are stored in star schema, you can use LISTCUBE to view the content (to see the structure/tables in cube, use LISTSCHEMA),
master data (not time-dependent) are stored in text table t[infoobject name], attribute - p[infoobject name] and hierarchy - h[infoobject name],

I am trying to view the contents on a E-Fact table (/BIC/E<Infocube Name>), what I tried so far show 0 entries since data have beed compressed. I tried SE16 for example, Listschema, RSCUBE....

Go to se11--->/bic/e<ic name> ->no. of entries.
I think the u did not perform compression step . once check the data in the f fact table.

Using power shell function and SQL Table

I have a table holding file path of over 1 million documents. so like column one is documentID and column two is full file path.
Now, I want to get the file size of each of the documents. I have a function in power shell that gets the size of a file given file path.
My problem, is I do not know how to use that function and the table to get the size of each of the files(documents).

In function module creation,table, view is better or structure is better ?

I am creating a new z function module.
Under tables parameter, I need to create 'Profit_Center_Table' which should contain combination of ztable and cepc fields.
as
Tables
Profit_Center_Table should contain List of ztable and cepc fields
Is it okay, if I create a view with the combination of ztable and cepc fields
And use the view under tables tab page in my zfunction module ?
Or it is better to create a structure with the combination of ztable and cepc fields

better to create structure or internal table with all the required fields.
we can export and import internal tables to function module by using TABLES parameter interface.
if you create View, how can you pass to the function module.
as per my knowledge no parameter interface is availabe to pass views to function module.
