How to work on views? as there are 4 types of views
Database view,projection view,maintainence view & Help view.
plz give me the steps hw to execute these views (i am using tables MARA&MARC).

As others have also said you can fetch data from view using using normal select query.

Are you using Forms 6i in client/server mode or web deployed? I'm not sure what you mean by 'try on server application"
Remember that when using a web deployed architecture, a host command will execute the command on the Forms application server, NOT on the client.
To execute host commands on the client you would have to use WebUtil, but that's not available for Forms 6i. Perhaps there are PJC's out there that can do it for you, but I don't want to get in all those details without me knowing if it is relevant for you.

I don't need any data from my first view. In a certain flow, I need to make my first view to be invisible.
for eg., My First view is in portrait mode. I change the device to Landscape. In the landscape mode, I want to show a completely different view (second view).
In this case, what happens is, I see my first view in Landscape mode for a second. Then the second view appears. When I change to Landscape mode, only the second view should be seen. I need to make my first view to be completely invisible in the OnOrientationChanging event of

How to maintain several views of the same data and update a tree

I have an object UiUser, which is displayed in my application in several different views. There are three different views which all have the User object i.e. search results, user tree and user table. Each of the views has the same menu items, so the user can be deleted from any of the views.
What I am trying to work out is how should I ensure the item is updated in all of the views?
I can fire a property change event with the UiUser and update two of the views i.e. search results and user table, but how do I update the tree?
I thought of overiding the equals/hashcode methods of the UserTreeNode to compare uiUser.getId () and I could then search the tree and find the tree node of the required UiUser. But I have reservations about this whole approach as it just seems wrong.
Any ideas of how to keep N views in sync, I really don't want all of the views to have tree nodes as this equally seems wrong. This should be a simple problem to solve and I'm sure lots of people have done it, I'm just not sure which is the best approach to take.

This is so because each installer has a GUID that is used to check whether the application needs to be upgraded or not. (It's a Microsoft function).
What you can do is create a new installer with a different GUID (copy the installer in the projects), and check witha text editor whether this GUID has changed.
But any specific reason you need two seperate installs? You can run the application twice with a specific INI token:

I am here with a problem with serial no. profile in work sheduling view of material master.
By mistake for some FHMI type ( PRODUCTION RESOURCE TOOLS )materials, serial no profile exist in 'work sheduling' view. Due to that we are facing problem in GRN.
when I am trying to remove that with MM02. i m getting a message as Serial numbers already assigned to this material
Please suggest how to remove serial no. profile.

go to MMBE and check the Current Serial number...for FHMI type
and go to IQ02 and close the Serial number range at the Current number range...
Now you can assign this serial number range to another material type...

Better process for introducing new features and explaining how they work

There are all kinds of new features being added to the Creative Cloud app but knowing what they are and learning about how they work isn't the most user friendly process. The current process is read the release notes after updating to a new version. The release notes should hyperlink to the related features in the product help. It would be great if there was a "What's New" section for the Creative Cloud app itself with new releases which included an introduction to new features just like there is for the desktop products.

Hi, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I want to know how much work it is to get a Sharepoint developer to add a link to the callout above, e.g. at the top level near OPEN SHARE, or in the sub menu would also be fine. The link would open the selected document in our application which can open
TIFF / PDF and other image files. The link could say "Edit this document in MyApp", or "View this document in MyApp" as examples. We would need to provide this in a modular way, so that customers could optionally deploy it to their own
sharepoint site. A possibility, if the customization is not a big job would be to write a document with details on how to customize the Sharepoint site to achieve this. I'm not sure if Sharepoint has a more intuitive way of sharing this type of customization,
e.g. as an App package.
Any idea how much work is involved approximately in developer hours?
And is there any terminology I could have described better above?
My apologies, I don't have any experience with Sharepoint but we have a requirement to integrate our software with it.

If you want to achieve the requirement of "The link would open the selected document in our application which can open TIFF / PDF and other image files". I suggest you use some jQuery plugin to achieve it.

I had a look and don't ask me why but it seems that you can't add extra rectangles in a sub table. But weirdly, it seems possible to add tables.
I mean you can't add a rectangle using
app.activeDocument.textframes.tables.tables.cell.insertionpoint.rectangles.add
//remove any reference, that's conceptual at this time.
The idea I had at the first place but put aside cause to its heaviness is to cheat.
Instead of adding the rectangle, we are going to copy & paste it.
So let's keep all the things you need (rectheight & rectwidth).
But this time, let's use

How to access design view in DW CC?

I am new to DW and am working in fluid grid. tutorial references design view (maybe with a toggle switch) - cannot find how to access 'design view'. any help would be appreciated.

If you use CC 2014.1 (October release) or 2014.1.1 (February release) you can't get to Design View b/c it was removed from FGLayouts.

There's no FAST way I know of, which is what I think you mean.
Only the painful SLOW way of one-by-one.
You could make a new playlist from the main library after you've set the columns up as you like.
Go to an existing playlist that doesn't have the columns you want, and select all.
RIght-click > Add to Playlist and send them to the new playlist.
That's still one-by-one and only works with static playlists, not smart ones.

How to implement custom view of certain elements in a JTextPane?

Hi. I'm writing an application with a JTextPane in which I want to allow a style or attribute to be added to an (arbitrary) span of text, which will then result in a rectangle being drawn around that span of text. But I'm not sure how to do this.
I figure it will be necessary to extend one of the subclasses of View, but I'm not sure how to work that into my Document. Will I have to create a custom ViewFactory, or a custom EditorKit? Not sure I'd know how to do that.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Here's the version I came up with. For some reason the width and height parameter of the two methods have a slightly different meaning which through me off for a while. Seems silly to me. Anyway it appears to work now:
