How to write it in ABAP?

I wish to delete all those records from my internal table where bktxt <> 'UP' or 'up'.
How will I write it in ABAP? pls suggest.

Thanks a lot..The second one worked.
I too was trying with deleting them one after other by
DELETE ITAB WHERE bktxt <> 'UP' .
DELETE ITAB WHERE bktxt <> 'up' .
but the exection of first delete was also deleting the values with value 'up'.

Your need will arise if actually tables have same number of rows, So first check the num of rows in each table and if diff, simply compare the count and find the (n+1) row in larger table where n is the no. of rows in smaller table.
However, if they have same no. of rows, you need to compare line by line if you want to write down where was the difference.

You can't use legacy concepts like logical databases directly in Web Dynpro ABAP. Even if you could do so, you shouldn't. Web Dynpro ABAP should always follow MVC - meaning that your business logic (the model) should be separated from WD as much as possible. This means calling function modules or class methods to consume the business logic and data. So in general there should be no difference between building HR reports or any other type of report in WDA - since from the WDA side you are calling other objects to consume the data.
This probably does mean that you will need to create classes to expose the HR data that you want in your WDA.

HR ABAP How to Write BDC For Infotype 0586

Hi Experts
Can Any One tell me how to write BDC for Infotype 0586 and also 585.
If we enter into the maintaining Screen, the lines in the Screen will dynamically changing depending on the values.
When I am doing recording , If I press page down after entering values in top lines, the lines are changing and the records are not updating Correctly.
I need to write BDC to Create Change.
Can any one please help me in this regard?

How to write a log using abap mapping

Hi all.
in PI 7.1 environment I need to use abap mapping and I wish to write some XML data into a table that I created for logging the data.
I know that using the abap mapping I can parse an XML file. My question is how to write this table defining a specific method, if it is necessary.

parse XML and get the data you need and just insert into the DB table
there are many tutorials showing how to parse xml file inside abap mapping
so just do a little search on sdn

For some reason I think the test script will depend on the workflow build, maybe because a test script is scenario specific? So if you need to create a test script for a workflow, you will need to analyze the documentation created for the workflow and maybe the workflow itself. Then you can create a script. If you don't know how to create a test script I think you will need to check a different forum.

I am working on BI 7, As I want to write a start routine in transformations of 0FIGL_O02 DSO, to allow the GL accounts with cost center data. Already there is a delete statement please find.
*DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where BAL_FLAG = 'X'. I had made comment to allow the G/L accounts. since I have some GL Accounts which does'nt have the cost center data, so in this case I have to write a ABAP code to allow this G/L accounts with cost center data.
So Let me know if anyone can help me how to write the ABAP code in the start routine.

            Yopu can write the below lines of code adn try
    SORT source_package BY Receive nr Type ASCENDING.
    DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM source_package COMPARING Receive nr Type.
But you should make sure which record of the either rows need to deleted
i.e in
F9001;LU;J001;662;
F9001;LU;J002;662
You need to decide to eliminate 1st or 2nd one.(depends on your requirement)

Help needed in writting Customer exit - ABAP Code

Hi Friends,
I have a scenario in one of the query and need to write a customer exit for the same. Here is the scenario:
I am using one input variable XXX to get input from user which feeds value to one of the charateristic lets say "CHAR1" in query. I have one more characteristic "CHAR2" which has to get the value from the same variable XXX. This is not allowed in BI7.0 as the variable is Hierarchy Node type. It gives error that "Variable XXX is used for two different characteristics."
So i need to create one more vaiable YYY which will get the value from XXX and then YYY will feed value to CHAR2. I would appreciate if some one could tell me step by step how to write customer exit and give me the piece of ABAP code i need to write in my case.
Your help will be appreciated in terms of points.

1. What should CHAR2 take - Hierarchy node variable or something else ?
--> CHAR2 is a simple charateristic
2. In your scenario - why have CHAR1 and CHAR2 ? why not have the user enter values against CHAR2 ??
--> We dont want user to enter two input as the input values for both Chars are same.
3. Did you try using a replacement path variable with the CHAR2 variable taking values from Variable on CHAR1 ?
--> In BI7.0 replacement path variable only take values from Query results. So not able to do the same.

Raising Exceptions
There are two ABAP statements for raising exceptions. They can only be used in function modules:
RAISE except.
und
MESSAGE.....RAISING except.
The effect of these statements depends on whether the calling program handles the exception or not. The calling program handles an exception If the name of the except exception or OTHERS is specified after the EXCEPTION option of the CALL FUNCTION statement.
If the calling program does not handle the exception
· The RAISEstatement terminates the program and switches to debugging mode.
· The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement displays the specified message. Processing is continued in relation to the message type.
If the calling program handles the exception, both statements return control to the program. No values are transferred. The MESSAGE..... RAISING statement does not display a message. Instead, it fills the system fields sy-msgid, sy-msgty, sy-msgno , and SY-MSGV1 to SY-MSGV4.

The actual parameters carrier and jtab have the same data types as their corresponding interface parameters in the function module. The exception NOT_FOUND is handled in the program. It displays the same message that the function module would have displayed had it handled the error.

just have to decide what exceptions u want and under what conditions.
then declarethese exeptions under the exceptions tab.
in the source code of ur function module.
if
like this u can code .
now when u call the function module in tme mainprogram.
if some error occurs and u have declared a exception for this then it will set sy-subrc = value u give inthe call of this fm.
in the fm u can program these sy-subrc values and trigger the code for ur exception.

There are certain exit points available in the query, these can be accessed in SQ02 - Infoset editor. Click 'Extras', then the 'Coding' tab. There is a drop down to access different coding sections, e.g. DATA, GET, etc.
It is not always clear where and when they execute so you may need to experiment with some 'break-point' statements to start with, run the query to find out where the breaks are then go back to SQ02 to enter some code at that section.
