How to write processed XML while using XML DOM

How can I write a Document Node type element in a file i.e. if I have a document and I loaded in memory using DOM then I processed it.Now I need to write it back to file.how can I do that

Use a Transformer whose input is a DOMSource and whose output is some kind of Result which points at wherever you want to write the XML.

  • How is the processing speed while using struts,spring,and JSF framework

    Hi friends,
    As per earlier technology like Servlets,I mean that there would have much more performance speed than other new technologies like JSP,struts,spring and hibernate framework.Because,in new technologies,flow of processings implicitly via MVC2 basis will probably much more time than older one.
    Total goal is only for attaining MVC2 or any other purpose?
    Please clarify my doubt?
    With Regards,

    Home grown applications have a problem in that as more and more features are added, it becomes increasingly impossible to maintain the application and enhance it. This is especially true when the original programmers leave the company. A framework provides a standard design approach that other programmers can hopefully more easily pick up.
    A lot of work has gone into creating these frameworks and they have been used in web sites that have millions of hits from users per day. They have high preformance. Of course, programmers can still write bad code in them that slows down the system. I believe anyone using these frameworks should study them well before using them (such as reading books on them).

  • How to write the nodevalue back to xml file?

    Hi, Everybody:
    These are two packages I used. javax.xml.parsers.*,org.w3c.dom.*
    Now I use "setNodeValue("abc") to set the node value to "abc". But it is not really saved back into XML file. It only change the node value in memory.
    How to write the changes back to XML file? Thank you very much for your help.

  • "Error while using XML iview" with XML iview template

    Our portal platform: HP-UX,  WAS 6.40 JAVA, EP 6.0 SP14
    We created an XML iview using XML iview template and configured the XML source URL with RSS feeder addresses such as"https://forums.sdn.sap.com/rss/rssmessages.jsp?forumID=41". And then select RSS to XHTMLB as the XML transformation format and save.  When I try to preview the iview, I always got error "Error while using XML iview, please contact your system administrator".  Here is the log and among which I found an error "java.net.UnknownHostException: news.163.com".  Does this indicate that the Portal server is not able to interpret the address of the URL host?

    Bad Request
    Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
    Now, i could not upload a new XML template.
    Am I doing anything wrong.

    Thank you Eugen and Hussein.
    The problem is not with the template.
    It seems to be a problem in that particular instance.
    Uploaded it in a different instance.
    However once i run the program, i cannot view the output as the browser window flashes and disappears.
    My colleague says , it is to do with the trusted site to download something from the browser.
    Can you please guide me on how to fix this ?

  • Error while using XML Iview, please contact your system administrator.

    Hello everybody,
    I have already posted a detailed message for the XML iview problem sometime back but havent got any reply so far. All the replies had come from users who are also facing the same problem. I am trying to use a XML iview for fetching RSS feeds from one of the internet source, i have entered the proper URL and selected the proper RSS to XHTMLB transformer also and have entered the proxy settings in the http service and enabled it and restarted it also, but again when i am previewing the Iview its giving me the error <b>"Error while using XML Iview, please contact your system administrator."</b>. I am using
        Area           Version
        J2EE Engine    6.40 PatchLevel 98256.313
        Portal         6.0.14.0.0
    , can someone tell me whether its a bug in sp14 or i am missing something while creating this XML Iview. Expecting a proper reply.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Sarabjeet.

    Hi Sarabjeet,
    The XML iView uses server-side fetching, so if you are having problems with a regular URL iView in server-side fetching mode, so the problem with the XML iVIew probably has to do with the proxy settings.
    And since you got a 407 error, it seems there is an issue with proxy settings or the proxy server, as mentioned in this description of 407 error:
    The HTTP 407 code only applies to users who are accessing the Internet behind a proxy server. This is common in government and corporate workplaces. The 407 code indicates that your computer must first authenticate itself with your company's proxy server. Check with your IT department or computer support group as to the exact reason why you may be getting this error. It may be possible that the proxy server does not allow downloads of specific files (exe, cab, com). You can also verify that your proxy server settings are valid.
    I will check if I can find out any more specific info.

    I had a similar error which when I searched, came up with this thread.
    My issue was resolved after I discovered that my RTF template was not really RTF. It was sill in MS Word DOC format. This was discovered by reviewing two templates in NOTEPAD. The MS-DOC files have a lot of "special" characters in them. My RTF was not really RTF.
    After doing a SAVE AS - RTF format, then the preview worked as expected.

  • How to handle  user exits while using BAPI

    HI experts can any one help me on how to handle user exits while using BAPI. Do we need to handle it explicitly or standard  BAPI will take care of it??.
    Regards,
    Hari Krishna

    If you have added some fields using append structures for screen enhancements, then you have to use appropriate user exits to fill these data while calling BAPI.  Some BAPIs have EXTENSION structures to fill the custom data which can be processed using user exists or enhancements.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Following is my updation code to the dom tree:
    NodeList list=doc.getElementsByTagName("Information");
    for(int i=0; i<list.getLength();i++){
    Node thissampnode=list.item(i);
    Node thisNameNode=thissampnode.getFirstChild();

    String data=thisNameNode.getFirstChild().getNodeValue();
    if (! data.equals("0.59")) continue;
    Node newsampNode = doc.createElement("Samp");
    Node newsampTopNode = doc.createElement("Top");
    Text tnNode = doc.createTextNode("0.50");
    newsampTopNode.appendChild(tnNode);
    Element newsampRef = doc.createElement("Ref");
    Text tsr = doc.createTextNode("0");

    newsampNode.appendChild(newsampType);
    newsampNode.appendChild(newsampbase);
    rootNode.insertBefore(newsampNode, thissampnode);

    One thing I understood my your issue is you want to perform, execution of query once or fetch the results sets my minimizing the number of times executions of queries. It would be hard for us to check in this way, atleast provide some temporary data and some business rules. Only I can IN, >, < (queries logical conditons on inner query)

  • How to write a messenger with using java?

    May I know how to write a messenger with using java? The messenger need included two functions which are file transfer and add users to join the conversation.
    Thank you.

    Ok, so you need to start from the beginning, the requirements, is it a swing (i.e. GUI) app, web app, console, etc...?
    As stated by sprizor making an IM client is no easy task, you need to both implement the server side and the client side, which both communicate with each other, file transfers are also quite complex, and even maintaining a multi-user chat can be quite difficult.
    If you are after a Web Based app, then you will need to look into Push technologies, like Grizzly Comet which is a nice wrapper for the NIO java stuff:

  • How to Write Log Message in a XML Data Source Report

    Hi Friends,
    Can anyone help me out what is the process of writing a log file in the XML Data Source Report. for eg: in Plsql we use FND_LOG.PUT_LINE to print the Log message in the Concurrent Request Output. in the similar manner, when we develop a report using XML, where we write Coding in XQuery of XML, what is the process need to follow to print the logs for the XQuery.
    Any inputs/Suggestion on this Highly appreciable.
    Thanks in advance.

    Create an RMI application (for example) that writes the log, and let all logging calls call that remote application.
    Something like that is the only feasible way that doesn't require you to have a drive on the remote machine mapped to the local one (which causes its own problems as you could have multiple simultaneous write attempts...).
