HP-UX CSDK latest version info
Hi,
I have been trying (without success) to extract just the SDK for HP-UX from the 3+ gByte download by running Oracle installer.
The version of the Collaboration Suite appears to be 10.1.2 but looking at the some of the directories extracted from the OCS_101200.tar file it would appear that the SDK packaged in the 10.1.2 version is in fact version 10.1.1.0.2
Can somebody confirm that this is the case.
Also is there a timeframe for getting a version of the SDK without having to download the entre suite etc with the Oracle Installer etc.

Unless HP-UX is ported to x64 this OS is pretty much dead -- HP stopped PA-RISC development a long time ago, but Itanium is not widely used. Both Microsoft & Redhat stopped supporting the Itanic a few years ago, and Oracle also announced EOL (End-of-Life) of all software products (including Oracle Enterprise Linux) on the Itanic earlier this year:

Nevertheless, Berkeley DB should still work on HP-UX as there is not a lot of system-dependent code in BDB.

The latest version of Mavericks does not allow a Pages document to become a 'stationery pad'! Is there a way to do this this other than through the 'Get Info' window? As Pages templates cannot be ordered in folders, my many templates are effectively unusable now and I need to find another way to order and access them.
Are you aware of that you can still use Pages 09 on Mavericks? You don't have to go thru the grieves of using the crippled Pages 5. Pages 09 should bi in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

I can't paste text into info boxes anymore with the latest version of itunes
Ever since I downloaded the latest version of itunes (on Windows 7), I can no longer paste text into the info boxes when I edit song information. I can’t paste by right-clicking or Ctrl+V, this is driving me crazy because I’m trying to add info on a Russian artist with Cyrillic letters and I can’t do it! I didn’t buy the song from itunes so it can’t be issues with Copyrighting although the same thing happens with songs from the store and every other song in my library. I can paste text into the lyrics section but that’s it. I restarted my computer after reinstalling the latest versions of itunes and Firefox today hoping it would fix my problem but it didn’t. Is this happening to anyone else? I hope someone can help me! Oh and it isn’t just with Russian, I tried to paste English info just to see if it was a problem with recognizing Cyrillic and still nothing pastes, the boxes just stay blank.
Itunes is annoying me more than ever. With the constant updates you’d think they would be able to improve all bugs but once one problem is fixed another occurs and it’s so irritating because I couldn’t care less about how my library looks as long as everything is organized in a simple way and I can sync my ipod without spending forever on itunes re-editing stuff and readjusting to updated layout changes. Apple’s attempts at making things look “cool” isn’t worth the F-ing constant problems which matter more! Okay, rant overM_E_G wrote:

That would be Manually manage, not Manually syncing.
Click the drop down arrow at top left the Show menu.
Then iTunes menu View > Show sidebar.

I just loaded the latest version of itunes and now I cannot sync my notes from Outlook 2010 to my iphone. Notes no longer appears under the advanced section of the info tab. Since I have not had luck syncing in the cloud I always check the boxes and tell the sync to sync from my computer to my phone. Does anyone know how to get this to work.
When you connect your ipod up to the computer. It should show the device, usually with the name of the device, in my case 'jordan's ipod'. This should be on the row which shows 'songs', 'albums' e.t.c on the far right. There when you click on it it should go to a different screen showing a picture of your ipod along with two buttons - Update and Restore. Click update and it should take a 2 mins while your ipod is updated to the latest version of Ios.
After updating te ipod see if there is a change in results.
PS: make sure the device is active while syncing so keep tapping the screen.

i installed the latest version of Itunes yesterday and when I looked at my library most of my songs that i purchased lost there artwork and cannot be trnasfered to any device saying that the info cannot be located. what should i do ?
Plug your iPod into your computer, it will begin to sync. Now check to see if the playlists have been added.
If not, go to the songs tab under your iPod when it is connected to iTunes, Unless you have checked "Sync all songs (or something to those words)" you should have an option on what you can put on your iPod. Make sure to check the playlists that you want on your iPod. -
after update to the latest version, the tinny pic in front the bookmarks disappeared. I think it is called the identity info...
when I go to the website, they will appear on the tap, but when I go through my bookmarks, they are not there, usually they are remembered after the first visit.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

I have the latest version of Firefox. It is: Firefox/3.6.13 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729).
I got a page that said I needed to clear my personal information, then clear my cache. It said I could do that in the "tools" menu. The "tools" menu has no such option.

Airplay mirroring.
Macbook 2012 retina display. Unable to see desktop on television, audio works perfectly. Both OS on ATV and Mac are running latest versions.

I figured it out! It was a firewall issue.
I use Handsoff and I checked it before i wrote here. There was no "user defined rule" that denied the communication but when i changed to "All rules" the program displayed several rules regarding AppleTV and its IP.
So if anybody has the same problem make sure you see all rules of your firewall and get rid of the AppleTV related rules generated by the program itself. You dont need to update to the latest iOS on the AppleTV!
I hope that I can help some people with this info to fix the problem. -

Thanks in advanceYes, the number of people still using forms 6 have become smaller now. There was a major release of 10g after that, and last summer, FMW 11g came out which offers the latest version for forms too.

Do not expect that you will be able to do anything by reading just one or two documents. So first spend some good amount of time in reading documentations before jumping into implementation. -
When I download a Numbers file from iCloud to my Mac, it isn't the latest version.
Today I worked on a Numbers file on my iPad 2 from 4:40 pm to 6:30 pm. A few hours later, when I tried to download the file from iCloud to my Mac, none of today's changes appeared. When I looked at it again on the iPad, on the main Numbers page where you choose the file you want, it showed a time of 4:43 pm associated with the file. However, when I opened it, the two hours of work was still there even though the time was off. I tried sending the file as an email and when I opened the email attachment on my Mac, all of today's changes were there. So the new changes are captured when emailing a file but not when downloading it.
It almost seems as if the file hasn't made it off the iPad and into iCloud, but I can't find any information on ways to force that or know if it's been done.Two possible problems. <br />
1. BlackBoard never supports the latest version of Firefox, for a few reasons. Some schools don't run the latest version of BlackBoard Vista or Campus Edition. Also, BlackBoard upgrades seem to be tied to the "school year" cycle, the changes they make to improve and update their software seem to be rolled out for the fall term so that changes aren't being made during the normal "school year" and possibly causing problems for the schools. That also may be a function of their contract / payment cycles with the schools that use their programs.

Depending upon which version of WebCT your school is using, you will have to use Firefox 3.6.x, Firefox 3.5.x, or Firefox 3.0.x when accessing the Blackboard site.
My advice is to install the Firefox Portable version that you need for Blackboard on your computer, and use that installation only for Blackboard. Continue to use 4.0.1 for all other web browsing. <br />

2. Firefox uses a Plugin ( you have Office Plugin for Netscape Navigator installed) to open files that aren't "internet files", like word processing documents. <br />
I can't help you directly with Office, as I use Open Office, but there should be a preference for that Plugin within your Office preferences or options under something like Internet, to have those files '''Display documents in browser'''. <br />

These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.

I have just updated itunes on my pc (windows XP) to the latest version. When I try to open it I get an error message saying the application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found< Have tried reinstalling with no luck. Any ideas?
