HPROF Could not find agent library cpu on the library path
I am familiar with Oracle's documentation at [http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/HPROF.html| http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/HPROF.html]
When I execute the HPROF as follows:
java -agentlib:hprof=cpu=times Main
At the end I receive the output:
Dumping CPU usage by sampling running threads ... done.
Where is the dump?
How do I see the monitoring details?
Did you make sure your library (call it x) starts is named libx.so (atleast, on linux, possibly libx.dll on windows, not sure)? It will not load otherwise, and you must specify -agentlib:x (rather than saying libx.so). Yes, it is "funny" how it gives the same uninformative error message for a wide variety of errors. It will also give you this same error message if there are still unresolved symbols upon loading your library (which would be my second guess).

Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory
Hi all,
I'm trying to write a jvmti agent that write any information in a mysql db. I've written a simple agent that work correctly and now I'll try to insert the mysqlpp library in my agent:
1) I've added #include <mysql++.h>
2) and I've added mysqlpp::Connection conn(false); (global variable)
I've modify my Makefile and the compiler and linker work correctly but when I test the agent the VM says "Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory"
Below the code:

Could not find agent library in absolute path
Hi,
I have a JVMTI agent which works on windows that I am trying to port to linux.
I have compiled to code on Ubuntu 10.04 using Eclipse and have created shared library .so file.
When I try to run an application with the agentpath argument, I get the error: "Could not find agent library in absolute path"
When trying to run the mtrace sample from the java JDK, it works fine.
My Java version is:
java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 16.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
I also tried running nm | grep Agent_OnLoad and got the following:
00029220 T Agent_OnLoad
00036230 b ZGVZ12AgentOnLoadE4data
00030720 r ZZ12AgentOnLoadE19__PRETTY_FUNCTION__
00036240 b ZZ12AgentOnLoadE4data
My agent references several libraries such as boost asio and log4cxx could it be related somehow to these?
I think it might be some sort of compilation issue because on windows it works fine.
ThanksI managed to solve my problem.
It turned out that the error was caused by missing referenced libraries that were not linked in to my so file.
Once I added all of the required libraries, the agent started working. -
I recently updated to the OSX 10.8.3 Operating Sistem. I am writing a book and now cannot open any word document I've created with the old system. Could not find a newer version of the Microsoft Word Processing Program. Is Pages the next thing? Can I recover my documents? How?
I'm in the same boat: new to OS X and Mac, and in the middle of a book. I switched because I heard about the the ease of using Mac, but so far, for me, it's been a nightmare. I bought 2011 Office Mac and hate everything about it, the most recent being the inability to open or cut or paste any of my original word files. I understand that this could have easily been done with earlier versions, but not Mountain Lion (which I learned is what OSX is.) Since I work with language, I am amazed at the assumptions of the Apple community. It helps to use common language and explain even the basics.
So all the helpful hints to use the latest version of Office Mac are to no avail. Now what? -

Could not find a Handler associated with the following type: printer policy.
Does anyone have any clue about this?
Thanks in advance.

This occurs whenever I launch Firefox, and needs to be closed before proceeding.
I'm having the exact same issue. I'm connected to the VPN, but I can't mount or otherwise connect to the shared drive. Did you ever resolve this?

Hi, I've managed to install SMC3.6 agent on a Solaris 8 platform but I was unable to start my agent. I get "Could not start agent" whenever i invoked the ./es-start -a command.
I've removed SMC3.6 agent and installed with 3.5 and it works. But I still prefer to use 3.6.
Do I require any patches for SMC3.6 agents?I've tried "sh -x" like you asked me to and I get:
# sh -x
# ./es-start -aOops, I meant "sh -x es-start -a". "sh -x" should
show you every line of the startup shell script as
it's being run. But it looks like you found the
problem anyways...

like the files "pkgsymon.so" or "liblaccess.so.1.0"
can't be found. You said that you had other Solaris 8
systems that run 3.6 fine: can you see where they
have those files:
find /opt/SUNWsymon -name pkgsymon.so
find /opt/SUNWsymon -name liblaccess.so.1.0
...then if they are in the right place (or exist at

Maybe SunMC detected the wrong version of Solaris on

proper libraries, or put them in sparc-sun-solaris2.7
or sparc-sun-solaris2.9?
Does you root user have different environment
variables set (i.e. LD_LIBRARY_PATH) on the problem
box than on the ones that work?
At this point i'm just guessing: 3.6 is so new I
haven't had a lot of debugging time with it. Worst
case you can call Sun support and yell at them...
(just kidding, please don't do that :) )
Regards,

Hi Mike,
Found the 2 files in the /opt/SUNsymon. Checked and confirmed /opt/SUNWsymon/base/lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8 is there. Will try touse sunchecktool to see if i need any patch fer that fella.
Anyway, about yelling at the Sun guys. That's a good one! :)
Thanks! -
We are setting up a new Windows 2012 server. Users access this server using a 'terminal services'. We have mapped some folders from a legacy server (different domain). Using group policy preferences, we map this folder as a drive for a user.
When user wants to delete some files, he get's the error: 'Could not find this item ..' The error is displayed to the user and it looks like the file can't be deleted. But when I press the F5 (refresh) button, the file is gone. My problem is very similar
to a problem in the following post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/042e747a-0e25-4190-b0a2-82f3e9635eb0/can-not-delete-file-error-is-could-not-find-this-item?forum=w7itprogeneral
When I create 'txt' (or 'pdf', 'zip') file, i can delete it without the error. When I create 'xlsx', 'docx', 'pptx', 'bmp', 'jpg', I get the error.
Does somebody have an idea, how can I fix the cause of this problem? (I can't tell to users to hit the F5 button everytime when they face this issue)
Thank you for your help in advance!
JurajHi,
Please check if the problematic files’ filename ended with a dot. If so, you could refer to the article below to troubleshoot the issue:

JAR: - Could not find main class
I'm sorry, I know this issue has been posted before but I am a bit confused with my situation.
After making a jar on my computer, I run it, and the program loads and runs perfectly.
However, when I try the jar on someone else's computer, it doesn't work, and gives the "could not find main class" message. The other computer has JRE but not JDK, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
Anyways, my main class file is located in a package called hw2, and the whole project is located in a folder called HW2. So my class file is located in something like C:\School\HW2\hw2\Main.class.
My Manifest.txt file is located in the \School\HW2 directory and has the following with a new line at the end:
Main-Class: hw2.Main
At the command prompt, I go to my C:\School\HW2 directory and I type the following to create the jar:
jar cvmf Manifest.txt test.jar hw2\*.class
My jar file has the following contents:
META-INF/
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
hw2/Bank.class
hw2/GUIInterface.class
hw2/Main.class
Did I write the manifest.txt file correctly? Am I in the right directory when creating the jar file? Am I executing the jar command wrong? How come it works on my computer but not on someone else's?Are you certain you're executing the jar in the same way on both machines?
For example, are you sure you're not executing the unjarred class files when you run on your local machine? -

Edited by: DharV on Oct 30, 2011 10:42 PMHi,
I have a template created using UI Shell and have 2 fragments being used as a dynamic region. So far so good. All is well and when i run the application i can see the regions.
Don't know what this has to do with the problem and its solution. Its confusing.
Now i created a custom template (.jspx) file and tried to use the same fragments in this template.
Assume you meant that you used the same task flow reference - correct ?
If you set definition="public" , does it make a difference ?
