HT1212 How do you unlock a disabled and offline iPad? Please Help!

Last night while trying to stop my younger sibling from going through my iPad I changed both the password and the disable settings on my iPad. Not only that but I never put the password for the internet when I turned it on again after a couple of days being off. Now im in this dilema. Please help me out.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

If it is second hand, try putting it in recovery mode, and restoring it with itunes on a mac or pc.

I finally figured it out. I had to allow my itunes to fully download the ipod software update and then it restored. YEAH!! Took my half a day!!
