HT1338 how do i get onto face time with my computer, log in not working

I am attempting to face time for the first time on my computer. I have don it plenty on my ipad and iphone. I get to the part where it tells me that I will be logged on with my email address and it displays it correctly, but then I tells me "The server Processed an error."

Can you confirm you are using OS X 10.7.x ( a version of Lion) ?
In Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.2 specifically) the FaceTime and Messages apps need to have the Mac's Serial Number present as it is used in creating an Auth Token that ends up in the KeyChain.
The Serial Number is "Flashed" to a Storage chip on the Logic Board by UV light when the computer is in the factory.
If the Logic board is replaced through repair or refurbishment then the number is supposed to be "Flashed" back to the new board.
Many people are reporting that this has not been done.
The issue only seemed to appear at OS X 10.8.2 (And Messages update to version 7.0.1)

It would almost impossible for anyone to know what you are doing wrong without knowing every detail of what you have already done. Start looking through these.

On full keyboards with a numeric keypad, the key above the right shift is "return" & the one on the numeric section is "enter." On a Mac (or Apple IIgs ) they do have separate functions. On the "mini" keyboards, both names are on the same key, but "enter" is written in smaller letters. I'll have to check to see how that works on another Mac later today.

How to populate an item first time with a computation ?

I have a form based on a table. When a new record is created, I want to populate an item with a value retrieved from a sql query. This is why I made an item (named P26_EMAIL) computation based on a nice sql query.
select email from acl_employees
where upper(userid) = upper(:APP_USER)This computation is fired only when a new record is created.
The P26_EMAIL (text field) item source type is DATABASE COLUMN and source used is "Always, replacing any existing value in session state".
Which means that my nice computation value is "erased" by the item when it is computed by APEX.
I am trying to see how to make my item computed on creation of the record, and rest of the time value derived form databse, and cannot get to this result.
Do you have an idea on how to do this ? (without using a trigger)

Have you deployed your shared variable library on your host PC?

i purchased an app... called phone tracker gps. It did not work. it kept locating my phone no matter what phone number i put in.... i would like a refund plz!

If you would of read the last line of the description for that app... it says:
"It's without a doubt the best joke you can play on them with your device! For entertainment purpose only and does not provide true device locator functionality."
It's meant to be a joke. You tell your friend your going to track them (while they are standing right in front of you) you punch in their number, and the app appears to hone in on their position. But of course its only using your location.

That device does not have Facetime, and will never have Facetime.
iPhones sold in the UAE are prohibited from having Facetime pre-installed, nor can they ever have Facetime installed on them. This is because of regulations in the UAE.
If you need to have Facetime, you'll have to purchase an iPhone from a country or region that does not ban Facetime.

To answer my own question, the answer is yes. Add the phone number you want to Face Time with, on the iPad. It works just fine.

For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail,etc. For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too. If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

You don't need to create an account. Your use your Apple ID to log into Facetime.
If you haven't already you will need to download the Facetime App from the Mac App Store.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Example - I have a report based on the procedure ,when the user execute that it takes say 3 min. to return rows.
Is there any possible way to capture this session info. for this particular execution of query along with it's execution elapse time?

You can use the dbms_utility.get_time tool (gives binary_integer type value).
1/ Initialize you time and date of beginning :
v_beginTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
2/ Run you procedure...
3/ Get end-time with :
v_endTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
4/ Thus, calculate elapsed time by difference :
v_elapsTime := v_endTime - v_beginTime ;
This will give you time elapsed in of 100th of seconds...
Then you can format you result to give correct print time.

Ipad2 gives me ""accessory is not supported" message w/ VGA adapter that I used lots of times before. Now it's not working. Why? and how do I get it back to normal functioning?

I used the (Apple branded) VGA adapter lots of times last year. Now I got back to one place I used it many times and it does not work. When I restart iPad with the adapter connected, I get the "accessory is not supported"message. But that same accessory WAS supported before.
This is very annoying as I planned a whole bunch of presentations starting this week to do with my iPad2 and that adapter.

I received the same error message, "Accessory Not Supported" from both the VGA and DV video adapters I purchased, both were boxed direct from Apple. However, to bypass this problem I simply clicked on Photos icon on iPad2 and flipped through photos until it displayed on my projector. I then exited the Photos app and my home screen displayed fine on the projection screen.
Some logic issue with the video adapters, but launching Apple Photo app initializes the video adapters then they work fine for mirroring after that.
Platform: iPad2
IOS: 5.1.1
