MY iPod touch says iPod I'd disabled, connect to iTunes, but it is green at the top instead of red. It won't allow me to slide bar to open screen or nothing. I tried to connect to iTunes and a message appears and says iTunes cannot find my device must have pass code to continue. But I can't do anything on the iPod at all. What can I do to fix this?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

my ipod touch says disabled try again in 22'650'050 minutes,i just turned it on and it said it my passcode is 1998, please help me
Hello,
I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Try holding the Sleep/Wake and Home Buttons for at least 10 sec. or until Apple logo appears (this is called a hard reset and nothing will be erased).
Try connecting it to Itunes, and restore it to factory defaults. This option will erase everything on the Ipod, so make sure you backed it up.
Hope that helps!
If none of the above solutions work, can you please respond back ASAP as I will try to find another solution to your problem.
Cheers!

So I've set up Ethernet Internet Sharing via my iMac, and my iPod Touch and other devices can see the network. I type in the password, it succeeds but instead of a tick appearing I get the grey loading wheel forever. Why can I 'connect' to the network but not actually gain internet access? I've even tried no password and the same thing happens.
Thanks for your time.i have same problem if i close sharing and reoopen my sharing i get a 1-5 minute connection
not sure 1-5 minutes is helpful but if i solve it i will let you know -
I want to update my iOS on my iPod touch 3rd generation to 5.5.1 because that's how high it can go but it won't let me.
How can I do it?
Help would be greatly appreciated
Lulu xI suspect you really have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
Identifying iPod models
iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

To update
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes
iTunes 10 for Windows: Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10.X. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later. With 1OSX 10.4.11 you can only go to iTunes 9.X which gets you as high as iOS 4.1
A 3G to 5.1.1 Requires iTunes version 10.5 or later -

My iPod touch 4th generation says on the screen to connect to iTunes. When i connected it to iTunes, it says i must restore my ipod for it to work. However, I have over 6,000 pictures that I've taken over the past two years that i do not want to lose. What do I do? I already tried resetting it by holding down the home/power button, that doesn't help.
Elitegate, the poster siad his iPod has the Connect To iTune screen, You can't backup the iPod when in that mode.

I have an older iPod Touch, Model MC086LL with an IOS software version of 4.2.1. Many of the applictions which I had previously purchased were recently upgraded and they no longer can be loaded on my iPod. What is the fix?
Reload older versions from iTunes on a computer, or buy a newer device.
