Download means to install off the internet or a computer server. Leopard 10.5, and Snow Leopard 10.6 are only available on CD. A 6 year old iMac should be able to install 10.5 from CD, if the following requirements are met:

when I connect the USB plug into the computer it tells me iphone is in recovery mode you need to unlock before connecting to iTunes then when it say restore and update it does it for like 10-15 min then it turns on the phone then I have to do it all over again

My Iphone 5 is disabled and it does not say how long for. I can not reset it because i need my photos off it. Is there anything i can do to remove the password or sync the photos while it is disabled ? Is there anyway i can do it at home ?Have you backed up/synced your phone with a computer at all? If so, I believe you can connect your phone to that same computer and access the data on it.
I am not 100% sure but it is worth a try!

Yes, you need iTunes installed in order to restore your phone. If not installed on your computer, you need to download/install it.

wait it for your iPhone to die then before it turns it plug it into iTunes while holding the home button and it will force it into recovery mode.
will be hard to get the timing right cause u will need to wait for the battery to die and charge up again. Other then that just take it to apple and have them replace the device for a fee. -
I backed up then erased 118 gigs worth of photos, but my storage still says I'm full. I emptied the trash and rebooted, but my computer won't recognize the empty space. What gives? I erased all my iPhoto pictures from the pictures folder in Finder so I could restore a backup from my Time Capsule. If you're trying to add a large amount of data all at once, and you get an alert of insufficient space, then from the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Time Machine
If the padlock icon is closed, click it to unlock the settings and authenticate. Turn Time Machine OFF, then back ON and close the preference pane. Restart the computer. Test. -

Where did the phone come from, it sounds like the device has been hacked or jailbroken to be unlocked and updating has re locked to the original carrier. It is also possible that the SIM simply needs to be reseated or replaced. -
