Swipe from screen to screen to look for it. It cannot be deleted from the iPad.
You can reset the the home screen layout but that returns the home screen to the original out of the box set up - but it will restore the icon to the home screen.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

I understand I should be able to manage it in the new command center, but airdrop nor airplay is listed there at all. I have tried turning the iPad off and back on as well as resetting it. How can I get it back?

Try looking for it on all your home screens and folders.
If its not there, make sure it diod not get restricted under Settings->General->Restrictions->Camera

How do I get the screen back to its normal size??? somehow it became magnified and only show everything close up--as if u put ur fingers together andslid them apart from each other to magnify--it does it even if its reset---driving me nuts!!!!

You're welcome, and thank you for marking question as solved. As a follow-up, you can disable the Zoom feature by going to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn off Zoom.

If you can open Safari go to the top of your screen, click Safari / Preferences then select the General stab. You can type in the web address for your Home page there.
