HT1848 What if when you go to the "file menu" and scroll to devices, nothing comes up highlighted? It does not allow you to click any of the options, however they are there.

I am syncing my iphone to my iTunes account and then I do a backup and also making sure all updates are current. Then by going to the my phone and then going to the right and selecting the restore my iphone.

With 10.7.2 update iCal does not allow you to set "Reminders" by draging events from "All Day Events" into "Reminders" is there another way to do this instead of having to type out the entire reminder with date, time, and type?
With Lion 10.7.1. you where able to drag events from "All Day Events" into the "Reminders" bar to create upcoming reminders.Exactly the same question I was about to post!
Great being able to sync reminders (well overdue) however if I have to re-type a calener envent into reminders it's a waste of time!!

just bought a new I-Mac. At start up several updates were needed. The I-movie one stopped and shows an ERROR HAS Occurred. Howevr it does not allow me to update it again. In my purchases it shows as Installed with Error. What should I do?

In Security, clicking on the "Saved Password" button displays your current saved password for each site. It only allows you to view and delete site passwords. It does not allow you to change a password. How would you do that?

What has happened to the iPad 2 finger select and drag technique?
Since upgrading to iOS7 it does not work?
I used this all the time to select multple images, approx 75 from an SD card containing 1000 images. Its painful indvidually selecting the imagesWhat would you like us to tell you? If it doesn't work, there is nothing that we users can do about it.

The latest version of Mavericks does not allow a Pages document to become a 'stationery pad'! Is there a way to do this this other than through the 'Get Info' window? As Pages templates cannot be ordered in folders, my many templates are effectively unusable now and I need to find another way to order and access them.
Are you aware of that you can still use Pages 09 on Mavericks? You don't have to go thru the grieves of using the crippled Pages 5. Pages 09 should bi in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

Every time I open a New File from the File Menu and I open it all of my desktop items are in it. What's up with that?
This is configured in Finder preferences under the General icon. You can make some changes to that behavior.

I am creating a form, but want to restrict the printing to function only by using a button on the form itself and not by using ctrl + p or the File menu. Is this possible?
It is pretty hard to shut off a system level action like the "Crtl/Optn" + P print method. This is a system level feature because it is a standard in all applications. Think about what could happen if you turned off this feature in a given application and that application failed and did not restart this feature.
Look at the "Will Print" document action. This runs no matter how the print action is started. -

Wondering if this is a bug - we have serveral different accepted domains, and our users within our org might have different primary SMTP domains - some @nwtraders.com and some @contoso.com - as examples.
We had a user today report an issue where they were trying to use the 'share calendar' button in Outlook 2010 and then typed in the SMTP address of someone in our org in the field of whom to share with, but that address had a different SMTP domain
than the user's (but still in our org). When she tried to send the sharing request she received a popup stating:
Calendar sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network:
<intended smtp address>: Your organization's policy does not allow you to share with this recipient.
I thought it might be related to freeform typing in the address - if I hand type out the address with a valid SMTP address within the same SMTP domain, and press send it works.
If I use the address picker, and pick the intended sharing recipient (who's has an SMTP domain that is different that the senders), it works fine. It only seems to have an issue when you manually type out the address and it's not in the same SMTP domain

Could this 'problem' be masked with setting up Sharing policy between all of our authoritative domains?

iCal does not allow me to edit "minutes" in the appointments. when i make an appointment it defaults it to xxhrs 08mins (example 16:08) how can i make an appointment for 16:00 or 15:30 hrs ...etc.

You can change this in System Preferences, Language & Text.
Go to System Preferences > Language & Text > Formats tab and change where it says Custom to your location. Then re-open iCal.

In the old pages you could simply copy the thumbnail and past a certain page into a different document.
The new pages does not allow you to do this.That and 95 other things it does not let you do.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder, use that instead.

My MacBook running Mountain Lion does not allow me to view any videos on the Internet. The place where the video is supposed to be just shows black rectangle. Why is it that when i connect my ipad the laptop only detects the storage and does not allow me to send any files to it?
The iTunes application is used to transfer content to the iPad.

Devices line in iPhoto does not allow you to sync but it does in iTunes
When I to into Itunes my Ipod shows up and you click on the Devices and you can choose to sync what you want.
However in iPhoto the devices line shows up but the Mac does not allow you to choose to sync i.e. the photos.
Also the sceen it jumps into seems to only deal with importing photos---this is different that before.
Can anyone help with this?- What version of iPhoto.
