Hi, your help on this, I need to recover songs past purchased that were downloaded into my Laptop, Is there some procedure to recover it, My previous laptop were damage.

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod.

I purchased all out of Denmark. My HD crashed and I reload it all. While doing this I had to install new iTunes, - this is the newest version 10.xx. The old version was probbaly 9.xx (cant remember). So the library files are from an old version, - but it does not look like creating a problem. I am now in Sweden, so iTunes was installed in Sweden, and I try to re-download my missing songs while being here in Sweden. However, - I belive I am connected to iTunes store in Denmark. ... (it takes 2 smileys for this, - if you get as far as to here and still have an overview.)

Attach iPod to computer > launch iTunes. Be sure that "Manually manage music" is selected in Options. This is so that, once the files are deleted, the iPod will not be automatically synced and present you with the same problem:
Look at the list of songs in your Ipod (not in the iTunes listing!):
Select the songs to delete by highlighting (single click) then press "Delete" or Control + click [or right click] and select "Delete" from the contextual menu.

Album artwork not showing for some songs of the same album, but the artwork is there?

On my iphone, some songs aren't showing the album artwork.. But other songs from the same exact album have the artwork.
When i click get info, the artwork is there on itunes, and when i click the 'my music' tab when my phone is connected, but it doesn't show the artwork on my phone when the song is playing.. help?

I haven't updated this for iTunes 7, so if you are using iTunes 7, the iPod preferences show up when you connect your iPod (there is no need to go to edit-->preferences and click the iPod tab as it says in the tip).

Sync causes 'some songs not authorized to play on this computer'

When syncing iPod to iTunes I keep getting the message that some songs were not copied because they are not authorized to play on the computer.
How do I determine which songs are not authorized? I have either purchased all of my songs iTunes or loaded them from my CD. Therefore, all should be "authorized"

I may have had another ID when I first started using iTunes - I just can't remember - I'll try to narrow it down using the smart playlist that you have suggested. As I'm thinking, I wonder if a disk that my daughter created for me a few years ago as a birthday gift (Dad's Mix) contained music that she had purchased with her account ID on iTunes, could be the culprit. Anyway, as I said, I'll try to whittle it down to isolate the songs that are generating the message. Thanks.

Why do some songs on iPod not appear in My Computer?

My iTunes library has most of the songs that are on my 60Gb iPod photo. It has approx. 2600 of the 2900 songs that are on my iPod. It is set to manually update as I don't want to lose the 300 odd songs that are on my iPod.When I open the iPod (E:) in My Computer, only the 2600 songs show though.Basically, there are about 300 songs that are on my iPod that are not picked up in iTunes library or My Computer.How do I get them into iTunes library so that I can finally set my iPod to automatically update?Please help.Thanks

Troubleshooting songs that skip
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

So i recently bought "Paranoid" from Avenged Sevenfold, it was a cover from Black Sabbath's. I saw the song was in the "Various Artists" section. Is there anyway i can put that song in Avenged Sevenfold's list of songs by their "Artist" category?

Change the name of the song, artist, or album

Need to recover some emix files! Help!

In mail I have a rule that moves all messages recieved after 21 days ago to a folder called archived. I noticed today that I seem to be missing a bunch that are less than 21 days old. Not in the inbox, not in the archived folder. Anyway, I had the brilliant idea of adding to the rule to say that any message that is also sent after 21 days ago goes in that forlder.
Well, every message in the archive folder disappeared. Gone. The emix files are gone. We're talking a year's worth of messages that I wanted to save. Any one know if I can get them back?

Did this ever work? Mail doesn't automatically apply rules to anything other than incoming messages. There is no way such a rule would ever do automatically what you'd expect. Did you apply it manually from time to time or what?

If the *.emlx files are nowhere to be found (i.e. they've been deleted for some reason), your only hope is to try to recover them with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try this, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.

Sharing Music: Some Songs Don't Show Up on 2nd Computer but Playlist Does

I am sharing songs using iTunes between my Powerbook and my G3 B&W. On the Powerbook, I see all of the Playlists that are on the G3 but if I open SOME (not all) Playlists, there are no songs inside. The songs ARE on the hard drive, however, in the iTunes folders. Any suggestions?
Info: The "missing" songs are all legitimate imports from purchased CDs.
More info: The G3 music is on an external hard drive.
More info: The G3 music was originally on the Powerbook, I copied it to the external drive and then I exported/imported the Library and Playlists onto the G3 to use the second machine as the music server. Did I mess up the import of the Playlists?
Even more info: the G3 is one version of iTunes older than the Powerbook (which is up to date).

I'm having the exact same problem. My library on my G4 tower has 17 371 songs, but it only shows up on the PowerBook as 16 991. (Both machines are running iTunes 6.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.4.4.) I first noticed this problem months ago, and it's persisted through several new versions of iTunes, as well as several complete nuke-and-rebuilds of the iTunes library on my tower.

1. Open iTunes
2. Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
3. Choose File > Get Info.
4. Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
Now that we know what account purchased this item, try logging into the iTunes Store with that account. If successful, proceed to your purchased page to download the song again (you'll have to delete the original before downloading again, but make sure it is in the purchase history first).

Itunes is not marking some songs as "Purchased".

I have purchased multiple songs on itunes and some of them tend to not get marked as purchased in the store. A few of them can be played from the store but if you click it, it still shows the price and not that its purchased. One of the songs doesn't even have the play button in itunes, it just shows the price when i already purchased it, it shows up in my itunes purchased list on my computer as well as its in my phones purchase playlist but in itunes it doesnt have it as purchased. I know i still have the songs but it kinda bothers me that they are not marked as purchased.
Does nayone know any solutions for this? Thank you for reading and taking time to help.

That is not a bug, it's simply the way it works.
If you listen to something on your iPhone, the iOS makes a note of that fact, by adding a 1 to the play count. When you Sync the iPhone with your iTunes Library, the iPhone and iTunes "talk to each other" and iTunes makes a note that you have listened to something (on the phone) that is in its Library. This includes marking that Podcast as played.
However, even though you know you're listening to the same episode of that Podcast via streaming, it is not possible for either the phone or iTunes to know that. That's why you're smarter than the machines!
The only "fix" is (possibly), to remove something from the phone so that there is room for the Podcast.

I have a site I've built in Muse. I need to add a video (and not via youtube) to my Muse site as well as some Java script. I'm not sure how to do that. I have some Java script to make appointments and scheduling but can't add it to that Muse page. Any thoughts? Thanks
