Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Oh and Meg offered the right answer. Put your Apps in Folders, which will create extra space for the apps which have disappeared.

IPad 3rd generation

Everything is sharper on the iPad 3rd generation... but I need to know how to get the crisp white thst the iPad 2 displays. Te iPad 3 has a distinct or pronounced yellowish haze tone to white objects and affects all other colors as well. It is not the brightness ... I've tested that. Holding the iPad 3rd generation next to the iPad 2 ... the color difference is very noticeable and. renders images washed out!

Many people have posted that the yellowish tint was a common problem when the iPad 2 was first released and was caused by the glue holding the screen to the rest of the unit. Supposedly the yellowish tint disappeared after a few weeks. If this is the case, the long an iPad site on the shelf the better the screen will look. But right now every iPad is probably sold right after it is manufactured. Those who manage to purchase units made earlier in the process as Apple built up their inventory. I purchased my iPad 2 well after it was first released and never saw a problem with the screen.
For those concerned about this issue I would wait until a few weeks after the mad rush to buy the new iPad is over. Then go to an Apple store with your old iPad to compare with a unit that had been around for a while. Hopefully the problem will either be resolved by Apple or it will go away as units spend A little more time between manufacture and delivery to the buyer.

IPad 3rd generation camera problem

My new IPad 3rd generation camera worked perfectly for about a half hour. Then the IPad got hot so I turned it off to cool down. When I turned it back on and tried to use the camera the camera screen was black. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Quit the camera app and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
BTW ... The iPad should not get that hot!

New iPad (3rd Generation) Pre-Order info.

I pre-ordered a new Apple iPad (3rd generation) 64 GB Wifi+4G LTE yesterday on March 6, 2012. The conformation email I received from Apple said that it would be delivered on March 16, 2012. Is this the true date that my new iPad will be delivered, or is this just the date that it will ship from Apple? Does anyone have any insight on this delivery date question?

I was asking the question because the new iPad 3rd generation is not available for sale until March 16, 2012. The delivery date message on the conformation screen wasn't clear as to when it would be delivered, basically stating the delivery estimate. Not that it's a huge concern, it's that I've never pre-ordered anything from Apple before, and since the product itself won't be available to purchase on the market until March 16, I was simply inquiring as to the exact delivery date being the same date the product being available for sale. I know when I ordered my iPad 2 online on the Apple store, it took about 8 business days from the shipping conformation email I received, and the delivery of the iPad 2. You cannot connect the two iOS devices directly. If the music in question was purchased from iTunes, you can download it from the iTunes app in the purchased section. Otherwise, you would need to get the music into itunes on a computer and then sync the Nano.

Trouble with Home sharing on iPad, 3rd generation

I am trying to use Home Sharing to bring across my iTunes Music Library and Playlists to my iPad, third generation, IOS 6.1.3. I have filled in the HOME SHARING APPLE ID and PassworD in Settings -> Music. But according to two textbook references: 'My iPad', Gary Rosenzweig and iPad, the missing manual', J.D. Biersdorfer, both references state I should next click a 'More' button, which should provide me a listing of devices which I can select from to get a iTunes Library. I do not have a 'more' button. I have signed off and and re-logged back on and I still do not get a 'more' button. Can anyone tell me if I have missed a step or was misinformed?

I have one network router. I have 5 devices that connect to the router; a G3/G4 B/W PPC connected via an ethernet cable, IMac PPC connected via ethernet, MacBook 2,0 connected via ethernet, Apple TV connected via WiFi, and the iPad (3rd Generation) connected via WiFi. Home Sharing is turned on in the G3/G4 PPC, MacBook 2,0 and the iPad using the same Apple ID. I was able to Home Share between the G3/G4 PPC and the MacBook, but not the PPC and the iPad.

I have the same problem with my device specially with the NFL App and after maybe 2hrs of research I found out that Verizon has implemented that messege/restriction to keep the app "TRUE" mobile only. What I'm saying is that you won't get the NFL App to play no matter what you do if connected to HDMI adapter or AirPlay. I hope this helps more than the other/previous post. My iPad 3rd generation does not let me name a document. Where the books say it should have "my documents" there is only "documents" or a + symbol, neither of them allowing my ability to name or rename. All my documents are titled "blank".

Uh - never mind. I figured it out - the "documents" section (still no "my documents, file, or save as ) has a choice of date or name and when I changed that section I was allowed to rename. Don't know why all the references and guides use "my documents" and mine doesn't but as long as it works.......

IPad 3rd Generation 64GB crashing when updating apps

Ever since updating to iOS 7 (and subsequently 7.0.3 and 7.0.4) I find that whenever I update multiple apps on my ipad 3rd generation I suffer multiple freezes & reboots. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated or failing that details of when a stable version of iOS 7 will be released.

You should let the apps update automatically as and when they are available.

I restarted the iPad, it is okay now! I think it is because I have been using the smart cover for too long, without shutting down the iPad completely! It just works fine with the airplay signal appearing again after restarting the iPad.

No problems exists with the router (on either network described above) or the multiple AppleTV's which are able to mirror multiple other OSX & iOS devices seamlessly. The problem is strictly with the iPad and iOS7.

This is an iOS 7 AirPlay mirroring bug...
To make matters worse, the iPad automatically drops its mirroring session 45 seconds after it auto-locks.
3-4 mirroring sessions is all it takes for the iPad mirroring to freeze up.
After this happens, mirroring to an Apple TV only projects a blank screen.
Once the mirroring is hung, the only way to fix it is to restart the iPad.
Apple please fix this iOS 7 issue!

1. iTunes 11 is for your computer, not for the iPad. You don't need to download iTunes for the iPad, it is already on the device.
2. When you switched ID's on the iPad and then downloaded any past purchase, you associated the iPad with that ID and locked yourself out of your own ID for 90 days. You cannot change this now. You have to wait until the 90 days are up before you can switch to your ID again.
3. AirPlay is a feature on the iPad that is only visible when you are using AirPlay compatible device with the iPad. When you double tap the home screen to get to the recents tray at the bottom of the screen, the AirPlay icon would be visible in there.

Mistakenly when I purchased a television series I selected download the entire series to my ipad. Is there a way to stop this download and change the download location to either my laptop or into the cloud?

Did you try tapping on the download to bring up a pause status? You can finish the download on the computer in iTunes. You may be able to delete the download by swiping across the progress bar of the download after you finish the download on the computer.
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to Store>Check for available downloads. Finish the download in iTunes and then try to delete the download from the iPad.

iPad (3rd generation) does not automatically connect to wi-fi. It is fully updated to 5.1.1 but you have to manually connect after turning off and back on. I also have an iPad 2 with the same OS but it automatically connects. The wi-fi has no security.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
