What kind of iPod are you getting to replace it? If it is an iPod Touch, and you are in the US, after you set up the Touch you can use the iCloud beta and download your previous music, books and app purchases directly to your Touch.

  • I swapped my iphone from apple store india and my imei of iphone changed and i have lost the box and bill of phone , how can i get my old imei number.

I swapped my iphone from apple store india and my imei of iphone changed and i have lost the box and bill of phone , how can i get my old imei number.

Of course it changed. A phone's IMEI number is unique to each phone. The IMEI number for a phone does not transfer to another phone.
Since your iPhone was exchanged under warranty without having the box and bill for the original purchase, you don't need it now either. The exchange under warranty remains under the warranty for the original purchase.

I used the first word of you above post " Great! " with a couple of filters applied - found this thread and one other
If you can think of any term you may have used, it may be of some benefit to use this search

a mere search for your username with quotes no brackets [ "freedone" ] yielded 313 results - but there IS another username "freedoneb" that may take up some of that real estate

New computer, how can I get my photoshop elements onto it?

I have no idea where the original installation media is, cloning the entire system right now is very unwise as there were many problems which I do not want to affect my new system.  Is there any other way to do it.  I see that the key is registered in my stuff box.

  • HT1414 i backed up tha data on my iphone before i unlocked and restored as "new." how can i get the data back onto my iphone?i backed up tha data on my iphone before i unlocked and restored as "new." how can i get the data back onto my iphone?

    Hi,
I wanted to unlock my at&t iphone 3gs that i had for 3  years.  i was told to back up the data on my phone and then restore it as new.  now i don't have any data i had before it was restored. how can i get that data back onto my iphone 3gs?  can i put that data on my ipad?

Is it an iTunes backup or an iCloud backup? If iTunes, connect the iPhone, right click on the name of the iPhone under the DEVICES section in iTunes. Click on Restore from Backup.
If iCloud, on the iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. When the device powers back on, you will see the original setup screens you saw when your iPhone was fresh out of the box. One of these screen asks you if you want to restore. Choose Restore from iCloud backup.

  • New Ipod How Do I Get My Old Songs Onto It

*I have got a new ipod ((an ipod nano 2nd generation)) but all my old song are*
*on my old ipod ((an ipod mini)) how do i get my old songs onto my new ipod...*
*not all my songs are from itunes store or off cds =S*
    *I hope you can help...*
    *thankyou =)*

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another. If the songs aren't in iTunes you need to copy them back from your old iPod and update the new one from there.
The transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod

I have lost my phone and have no backup. How can I get my pictures back?

Without a backup, you cannot recover data.  This is a basic tenet of data.
Did you perhaps have iCloud Photostream enabled?

  • My Ipod was stolen, got new one, how can I use my old playlist??

I want to use my old playlist since I had to change my ipod not by choice. It keeps telling me the new Ipod is not regonized to disconnect and try again.
How can I sync it??? I am afraid to erease my music already in there. It already happened the other way around, I got a new computer and the second
I plugged in my Ipod where all my music was it ereased all of my music!!!!!!!!!
    Please help!!

I says an Ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly.
Please disconnect and reconnect the Ipod, the try again. I wish this was simpler : ( I am pretty bummed already about
someone stealing my 5th generation wich I loved.  I really appreciate you trying to help. : )
About my Ipod that got eraesed. So, if I have an Ipod with all this music and I start a new iTunes on a new computer this will just erease all of my music and I start from scratch?? it sound so unfair. I still have that Ipod, is 3 generation I think, I have hopes all that music is in there somewhere.

  • External Hard Drive Died -- Full Library on iPod -- How can I get on iTunes

My external hard drive recently died and I do not have my music backed up. All 3,600 of my music tracks are on my iPod, but I am afraid to sync my iPod up to my computer and add anything new for fear that it will erase all of my iPod trackes because it can't find them on my computer.
What are my options? Is there a way to turn off auto-sync before it erases my tracks? Could I hook it up to another computer?
I thought that I've had lost tracks before (tracks with an exclamation point next to them in iTunes) and I DID NOT lose them off my iPod when syncing, but I'm afraid to take the chance. As a result, I'm a prisoner and unable to add new music to my iPod.

If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7.3 or later installed hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that way you can continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod.
