I am having trouble syncing all of it together. In my system pref I only have mobile me and no icloud. What can I do to sync al my data??? Any help would be great. On my phone it says backing up but it has taken over 10 hrs of thinking and nothing has backed up????? Thanks for your help, Kind reagrds Kerrie

iCloud is not available in Snow Leopard 10.6.x. You need OS X Lion or Mt Lion to gain access to iCloud.

Lion 10.7.2 is the minimum reaquirement for iCloud. If you have an earlier system the iCloud Preference Pane will not be present: the MobileMe Preference Pane will do nothing whatever as MobileMe has been closed for six months.

  • I have an iphone 4 that keeps deleting my notes. How can I stop this from happening?

I have an iphone 4 that keeps deleting my notes. How can I stop this from happening? I've had my phone over 2 years and only in the past 2 months has it started deleting notes. Now they are all deleted, but thankfully still in my email, but only on a computer.

I guess he/she open Notes in Gmail settings. This archives (one way sync) notes in gmail account under notes label that is invisible if you are using the standard gmail setup on your iPhone. You can see it on desktop browser, Safari or gmail app in iDevice. Am I wrong?
    Sorry for bad English.

  • I have multiple pages I need to scan and email. How do I do this at one time?

I have multiple pages to send by email. How do I scan and send them all at once instead of 10 separate emails?

You'd have to ask HP, or an HP forum, if their software can do that.
Adobe make Adobe Reader for iOS, but it cannot join pages together - in fact it can't make PDFs at all, only read them. It isn't involved when your HP makes a PDF.

  • HT204053 I went to my system preferences and the icloud icon was not there?

I went to my system preferences and there was no icloud icon

You need 10.7.5, but 10.9.1 is current, and preferred.
Go to the App Store and upgrade, make sure to backup first.

iCloud is only available with OS X 10.7.2 or later, Mobile Me finished some time ago.

What you are seeing is how Safari works now in iOS 5. There is no way to get that icon in Safari now. There other much better browsers available in the App Store. Look at iCab Mobile, Mercury, Atomic, ....
I have been running iOS 5x for so long now, that I don't even remember if that icon did appear in earlier iOS versions

  • How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat.

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see  the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?
    Any help would be appreciated.

I just got a new iPod Touch 4th generation for my daughter. I have a iPhone 5 that is already set up on iTunes. The only thing I want on her iPod from my iTunes is music and apps. How do I set her iPod up so that it only gets that information? Do I set it up as a new device? If so will that alter my iTunes?
    Thanks.

You can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:
How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer
But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc.

Hello, I have two questions on time capsule  I can only have it on my external hd files and free up my internal memory to my mac  I can use an external hard drive, in my case a lacie rugged as shared memory for my two computers

I have a mackbook pro and an iMac if I buy a time capsule 2tb airport, I can use it with time machine and what would be the best way to use it.
There is no particular setup required for TM.. both computers will create their own backup sparsebundle which is like a virtual disk.. Pondini explains the whole thing if you read the reference I gave you.
and how to use time capsule airport whit other external hd to use my old lacie airport with the new time capsule
Up to you.. you can plug the external drive into the TC and enjoy really slow file transfers or you can plug it into your computer and use it as external drive.. which is faster than the TC.. and TM can include it in the backup.
Again everything is explained in the reference.. you are not reading it.

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.
