I don't use keychain (because I started using LastPass before keychain had the ability to sync among multiple devices and because I need to use multiple devices including Windows) so you may get a better answer from someone that knows more about it. However, I have FileVault turned on on my Mac. With that on, nothing on my Mac will be accessible if it is lost or stolen. It's something you may want to consider. Use a friends computer. IF the ipad is telling you to connect to iTunes that is what you need to do, there is no bypassing this. -

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

I cut and pasted a description from the Internet. It posted as a link in iPhoto. It seems to have made a global change--all my descriptions are now blue, underlined, and Times Roman 12 rather than Arial white. How can I get this back to the default?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

i have recently installed icloud on my pc & have activated photo stream on my iphone. only a portion of the photos from my phone are now available on my pc. Why haven't they all transferred over?
When you turn on photo stream on a device that is the source of photos, only the photos you take in the future will sync to the stream, not the photos currently in the camera roll.
When you turn on photo stream on a device or computer that will receive photos from other devices, only the photos that have been on the servers for the past 30 days will sync, all older photos have been deleted from the servers.
To sync camera roll photos that weren't part of photo stream, you need to sync them manually using itunes. -

FTP login and password are not saved on some sites
On some of my sites the FTP login and password are not saved
(even though the "saved" box is checked). Dreamweaver 8.0 on XP
SP2. I can export the site information and then import the same
file exported and there still will be no login or password placed
in the login or password window. I opened the exported .ste files
in notepad and found the login correct and the password incorrect.
I uninstalled Dreamveaver and reinstalled still same
problem.Ok, I just spent about 3 hours on this. Here's the latest
that I've found. I had looked at the knowledgebase and my registry
matched what was suggested. As this has been an ongoing issue for
me, I thought it was still an issue. Apparently 8.02 did have some
improvements.
I can only guess that many of the 36 sites I have in the Site
Manager lost info before the .02 update.. or I hope so.
I did however discover that there is still what could be
considered a minor bug. I went in to Manage Sites and selected edit
for all of my sites, fixing the ones that had lost their user/pass
info. I'm not positive, but I think only the last edited site kept
it's data.
I discovered after many checks on all the sites, over and
over and over, that it appears that they are now holding the data,
but, if I add the user/pass, I must not only click the OK button to
close that particular site, but I must also click the 'Done' button
before only that one will be saved.
So, I thought I was fixing logins when in fact I was only
fixing one at a time.. Completely closing 'Manage Site' seemed to
hold one new set of login data each time. Seems that it shouldn't
be this way.
But I must say, I am rejoicing at the moment, as I actually
have all my sites set up with FTP info and I am now looking forward
to hopefully adding more and maybe they'll actually be available
for the next editing session. -
My notes won't open on my iPod touch 5 g it lags and closes everything else is fine I need my notes all my passwords are written there in my notes.
If on a computer browser you go to icloud.com and sing in are you notes there? If so get them off.

New user- all my files are now read only -
I am using a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop with Windows XP and my husband has a Dell Dimesion 4600 desktop. Two weeks ago I installed a Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB adapter on his computer and then installed a WRT54G v.6 wireless router. All is working fine for internet connection. Today I discovered all my files are now read only and even when I uncheck the read only box and click apply, then close the file, on re-opening it it is again read only. Even the files on my external hard drive are now read only.
I am backtracking to see where a change was made that was unintended and the wireless router was the last thing I installed. Is there a connection? And if so, can someone help me make the necessary changes or tell me where to find out?
I read through a lot of messages but did not immediately see this situation addressed.
Sandraseems to be an OS issue , because there is nothing on the router setting that could change the configuration on the computer....try System Restore....can't think of anything else at this point...

My PC Harddrive died along with all the CD's that I have saved to the Itunes library. My IPOD touch has the library still so I would like to send the data from the IPOD to the PC to restore my library. Is this possible?

I have set up all the iCloud on my iPad and iPhone both are the latest version but they don't seem to sinc with each other does this take some time? I am connected to the Internet via wifi do I need to turn the mobile data to on on both maybe??

You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud. -
Once I downloaded the new IOS 5.0 I've lost all of my photos that were stored on my PC, and I no longer have access to them on the IPOD. Cannot figure out what has happened. Please help.
Thanks lllaass, but I am not computer literate and do not understand exactly what it is I am supposed to do. All of my photos were stored on Microsoft Windows Live Photo Gallery. When I now access the gallery the only thing that is there are the folders with the title of the folders. The pictures that were in those folders are now gone. I can no longer access them on my IPOD either. My photo library on my IPOD is now empty.

Cannot transfer videos taken from my Canon camera(MOV files) to the iPad 4. They have previous with no problems at all. Is this an update issue? I tried to sync them over using iTunes last night but it says that they cannot be played on the device. But they have previously
1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :

2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad -
Hi I am having problems with the latest update (11.1.4), I have unistalled and reinstalled that many times now I have lost count, I have also tried all the fixes that other users have suggested with no joy.
What is this msvcr80.dll file that is missing, also after unistalling and rebooting computer I get another message that states icudt49.dll is missing.

Perform a complete backup before hand and all will be well. You just restore the backup after the update. If you have a backup password, be sure you haven't forgotten it. The details of what is backed up differ a bit if you are outside of the states. Read this article for details:
