i cant purchase an app even though i already sgned up with my credit card.a promp tells me that i have not used the account to purchase any pp yet.what should i do?

Could it be that you are using your account on more than 10 devices? Or that more than 10 devices are still connected to your account?

Well you can't fix it without entering a credit card now - or without creating a new Apple ID. If you did not want to use a credit card with your Apple ID, there is a very specific way that you have to create the account. If you don't or didn't follow those steps exactly, you have no choice now but to enter a credit card - or create a new Apple ID without the credit card.
If you create a new Apple ID, you will also need another email address since you have already associated your current email address to the ID that needs a credit card. You also have to sign out of your ID in Settings>iTunes and App Stores before you can create anothe Apple ID.

My ipad has locked me out. It says ipad hasnt been backed up. Needs to be plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi. It won't let me do anything. How do I fix it?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. hello i recently bought an ipod 5g from a friend i had just met, I took the ipod home and factory reset it, but when i try to sign in is says i have to sign into the account that was used to set it up. i have no way to contact her because she moved to arizona to live with her grandparents . i have no way to get the email or password i need help.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone please.!!!!!!!!!!
Wipe it clean and restore it. You should then be able to rename the iPod and set up an account with iTunes. I hope this helps!

Can someone please tell me what I need to do. My Itunes won't open up. A window pops up saying that this version is not correctly localized for this language please run the english version.
Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".

When I redeem my itunes gift card, it states that the card has not been properly activated. I can't provide a receipt as it was a gift. Is there another solution?
Does the person who gave it to you still have the receipt ? my app store will not open. when i try to open it i get an error that reads "You can't open the application App Store because it may be damaged or incomplete". How can I fix this?
I am having the exact same problem. MacForums has been helping me, and I called Apple. After trying everyone's suggestions, and Apple's, no success.
My App Store app still says "incomplete or damaged." There is even a circle with a line through it on the icon. Apple said reinstall my Snow Leopard upgrade disc (not my original Leopard disc) and then run the Combo Update (like your suggestion). Did not work. I also updated the software from "Software Update". Rebooted.
I think this started after I replaced my hard drive with a SSD and moved the hard drive to where the DVD was. I wonder if the person above who had the same problem also installed a SSD?
Anyway, anymore ideas? Even Apple is stumped.
(In answer to the other post above, my Quicktime works fine.)

Just did some more reading. I was going by the icon in the dock. When I checked in Finder, there it was, fixed and brand new!! Thanks, anyway.

That usually means that your payment information is incomplete. Even if you want to download free apps, unless you were able to select "None" as your payment option when you created the ID, you still have to enter a credit card.
There is a very specific way that you have to create an Apple ID if you don't want to use a credit card and I am guessing that is what you wanted to do originally, but you didn't do it correctly. The instructions are in this kb article.

I have the same problem and when I review my account and enter my cc info it tells me "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later." and this is day 5 of trying again later. What the **** is the prob? It isn't the card bc it has plenty of $$$ on it.

I have an Apple ID and trying to sign in for the 1st time on iTunes. When I do, I get the message: "This Apple ID has not been used with the iTunes Store. Please review your account information." When I do, it brings me to the same AppleID login window, and I get stuck in the same loop. I never get to the following screen to enter my account info. What's going on?? This is MADDENING!

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. AirDrop used to work between my iMac and MacBook Pro. Now, when I try to transfer a file (either direction) I get a message that my certificate is invalid or that the file has not been accepted. What do I dot correct this?

My Ipad has a message on the screenthat indicates that the unit has not been backed up for two weeks. When I press the OK icon nothing happens. I tried to shut the unit down and the red slider does not function.
A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.
