HT3529 My imessage function has quit working with a few of my contacts. I can send something via my iPhone but not my iPad. Any suggestions?

iMessage and FaceTime went down yesterday for some people. Mine is still down. My iMessage is saying the same thing about being activated. Sounds like you are still down too. Ignore the status page that says everything is fine - it lies.

No. Return it and get your money back if still within the 30 day return window. All US iPhones are carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked.

sound on my phone has gone so when someone calls me they can hear me but i cant hear them.The ticks cant be heard when you press the keyboard. I've checked the settings and they are ok. can still hear music thru headphones but not without. Any help pls.

I understand you are having issues with sound output on your iPhone 4S. For troubleshooting steps, the following article provides the best information:

1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
8. If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
9. Restart the iPhone.
10. If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
11. If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

Full page prints from iPhone but not from iPad using photo app with AirPrint ? iPad only prints 4x6 on full size paper. It's an HP 8600.
I also have this problem printing photos from an iPad to an Epson WF-2540 printer. It prints only 4x6 and without border (so print starts at extreme top left corner of paper). Borderless printing is not selected on printer. Printing a square photo just crops to 4x6 size.

Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal. -
Im not very good at troubleshooting, but I have played around with the system preferences. My airport connection is fine as well as the ethernet. Firewall says its not connected, (im not sure if that matters or not?)
I have subtracted my network from the list, restarted, and then put it back and and restarted...nothing seems to be working. Iam in the middle of a correspondace course and i really need my internet back...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

My flashdrive only works on one of the usb port. it will not work on the other usb port. however, the other usb works with my iphone charger.

Shut down the MacBook Pro.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.

Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM:
Shut down the MacBook Pro.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

IMessage is working on my iPhone but not on iPad 2.
iMessage is working on my iPhone 3GS but not o my iPad 2 the app is there but everyone I enter comes up red so I can not send messages. Howeve the same contacts will work from my iPhone. I've tried sending one to my self from my iPad to my iPhone and on my iPad it says undelivered yet shows up on iPhone. Does not work the other way round.

I purchased a new laptop with windows 7 and i am using mozilla firefox as browser and i cannot get itunes to download at all. it will download to 99% with a few seconds remaining but will not complete the download. Any suggestions on what to try next as i have tried turning off firewalls etc. I have wiped the computer and reloaded everything again but still i cannot get itunes to load

My iPad2 will not work on my home wi-fi. My iPhone, my wife's iPhone and iPad all work just not my iPad. It will however work when I set up a hot spot on my iPhone. Any ideas?
Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds.
On your iPad use Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings
If you need more help please give the make, model and version of the WiFi router that you are using.
Does your router have the latest firmware from the manufacturer installed?
What IOS levels are in use on your various iDevices? -

iPhones do not do this with the core applications provided by Apple.
Maybe there is some third party that sells an app to do this, but I don't know of such a product. -
I had a perfectly working FF 3.6, so I guess I'll revert until fixed. Windows XP on compaq.
I've never used TenFourFox and don't know the details of how it might differ from Firefox. I can make a couple of comments, though.
The first two messages are from SocialFixer. I'm not sure why it cares about Greasemonkey. Note that "chrome" is a designation used in Firefox for the browser UI; chrome contrasted with content.
Could you try disabling SocialFixer in case it isn't fully compatible with TenFourFox?
Actually, could you disable all of your extensions and see whether the browser becomes more stable? Then re-enable a few of the most essential ones and restart and test again. The idea is to figure out which one(s) might be causing problems.
With respect to hardware graphics acceleration, I suggest not trying to hard to get that working. It's finicky and with some display drivers creates performance and stability issues. In fact, I suggest disabling this feature. Not sure about your menus, but maybe here:

Using a DLinkVWR (Vonage enabled) router, I just secured the home WiFi with a WEP password. No problem in establishing a WiFi connection on my MacBook Air (OS Mountain Lion 10.8.2) or with my iPhone using iOS6. They both accepted the password and connected directly.
Not so with my wife's MacBook Pro, using the latest version of Lion, 10.7.5. It can find the WiFi, but upon attempting to connect, the alert is shown that there is no internet connection. This is unique to this MacBook Pro. The drop down menu shows the router checked and 4 bars, but the Alert remains: No Internet Connection.
What am I doing wrong? This MacBook Pro connected without problem before I secured the router.WEP as a security measure is laughable nowadays. Even a kindergarten kid with a netbook can crack the password in a few minutes. Try using WPA2 if available on the device. And the Macs will be quite happy connecting with that protocol.

It has quit working with "liverez" which is my web based reservation program. The place I login is https://reservations.liverez.com/login.asp?LogOff=True&Return=Res but once I login, the site does not work as it did before. The website that corresponds with this doesn't look right now either. I can't even use my msn email account with firefox now. I have had to go back to using internet explorer. I have not even tried other sites with foxfire at this time. The other sites I use for work. Things that aren't working are that I can't click on things I need to click on, drop downs aren't showing up, pictures are absent, etc. It is all working fine on internet explorer and used to work on firefox until last night.
Thanks to some hints in several strings, I went back to the Control Panel in XP, clicked on Sounds and Devices, clicked on Audio, then changed the default device to the Realtek HD Audio output I have on my computer. Now I can hear You Tube video sound and other Internet audio fine, at least for now. I will come back if it stops again. Thanks to all who posted.
