Can't Update iPod Touch 4thGen 32GB
Hey There! I am trying to update my iPod to the latest 5.0.1 iOS, my iPod is currently running the 4.1 iOS. iTunes will download the update, and then say that its processing the file. iTunes will then display a dialog box saying the network connection timed out, which isn't true because I have 3 other apps and a Movie that are continuing to download. My computer is a Toshiba Laptop running Windows 7. When is was living with my parents, the computer I used was a Dell 4600 Series running Windows XP. At the time, I was trying to update to the 4.3 iOS and I had the same issue. Is it my iPod thats special and won't accept the update? There is a Authorized Apple store near where I live, could I take the iPod to them and they could install they update for me, then I could just sync it with my iTunes account?

There are many, many sites that will buy your used device. Also, some brick/mortars will take them in and give you credit you can use towarrds an iPad. Try BestBuy, Target, Toy'sRUs...and see if any programs in effect now fit your needs.

White screen of death ipod touch 4g 32gb [dropped]
I got my ipod touch 4g 32gb for Christmas 2012, so it's still quite new, i accidently dropped it on the kitchen floor, screen face down [facebook app was currently running at the time] it had a silocon case on it so it wasn't as bad, when i pick up my ipod to check it was alright, the screen was all white [white screen of death].
I've tried 'home+lock screen buttons' & i have also tried 'Home+lock screen+ volume up buttons' this didn't work.
my friend suggested that i leave it to drain out and after 24 hours it died out, after about 20-30 mins i put it back on charge and the white screen came back up, i took it off and i'm leaving it for the night and will try it again tomorrow, does any one have any suggestions on other ways i could fix it, please help, thanks.Try:

I have the iPod touch 4g 32gb that I got for christmas 2010. About two days ago I was using Safari to watch a YouTube video and it just went black. I tried to turn it back on but it didnt work. - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order
