HT4623 do install new iPhone 5 as backup or new?

When connecting to iTunes for the first time, do I choose install as new iPhone or as restore from backup?

You can import any photos taken with your iPhone, you'd do that first. As for any SMS's or MMS's, things like that, or any app data, you'd lose all of that by restoring from a previous phone's backup. But again this is all up to you...do you want to continue as you are, then hit setup as new button, you'll then be prompted to name your phone, then you can sync whatever you like to it. If you want to restore from a previous phone's backup, post back & I'll tell you how. But again, you'll lose all current data on your phone.
Your choice here, no right or wrong.
