HT4623 Should iPhone s/w v5.1.1 and itunes 10.7.0.21 work?
I've not backed up my iphone previously on my laptop yet when connecting my iphone to my laptop which has itunes 10.7.0.21 installed, I get a message indicating that I can't do this and have to re-install the itunes. Please can someone advise if there is a compatibility issue between my iphone s/w version 5.1.1 (9B206) and using itunes 10.7.0.21?
If there is no issue, I'm assuming it's laptop issue, so will get it checked out.

That's what I'm trying to do but unfortunately have had laptop issues up until now and without having backed up the iphone previously and restrictions on the laptop I have, I'm trying to obtain correct insight before I progress any request for my laptop to be reviewed/fixed etc.

you could change the tags in itunes to include the genre in the "show" field in the "video" tab. this would replicate the view you want, but you will need to tag all your movies to do this. -

I've done all of these, even trying a different USB port, and still, nothing. This is really confusing. Windows 8.1 said something to do with USB malfunction or something and nothing works. I need to restore my iPhone quickly and nothing has happened. My cable is not genuine Apple product. iTunes makes the noise that it makes when I connect the device, but it doesn't say 'iPhone is in recovery mode' or even say 'iPhone' in the corner. I am really fed up and would really appreciate a response.

Iphone 4s won't boot on and itunes doens't detect it when on battery. Plug it in and Apple logo appear then disappear, try to recover, but there's a 1602 error. Is it dead?
Its weird, when I plug it into wall AC, I was able to boot into the home screen, but there's wifi cant turn on. Plug out the phone turn off immediately. I tried to jailbreak it with snowbreeze because someone has the same problem with his iphone 4, but snowbreeze doens't work with iphone 4s.

Any ideas?Do not take it to a third party repair shop - downgrading causes problems and voids your warranty.
I had to unlock it so that i could really use it as a phone.
And that is the root of the problem. Unless you had your carrier unlock it, it was hacked and cannot be legitimately activated. Even if you don't care about warranty or problems, downgrading simply will not help an activation issue. -

Just upgraded IOS to V7 and iphone is asking for a password and the online password will not work. I really need to get this sorted as I am away and need to get the phone working.

No. If you failed to turn off Find my iPhone BEFORE you upgraded to iOS 7, you will need the original Apple ID and password. If you upgraded to iOS 7 you will need this info; there is no way around this. If it is the device passcode you will need to restore your iPhone in order to reset that, which in the end will require your Apple ID and password in order to activate the phone once it is restored.
Why don't you have the original Apple ID? Where did you get the phone? -
My iPhone 4 is 3 years old, and recently the Flash will only work WHEN it wants to... Anyone got any ideas what I need to do? Does it need to be repaird in an Apple store? if so does anyone know roughly how much it would be? Or would a simple Restore work?

Water damage is normally catastrophic to electronic devices. Turn off the iPhone, place the device in a bag of uncooked white rice, and leave it in there for 5-7 days.

I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.

I recently just dropped my iPhone 5c, the screen is blank and it will not turn on (pitch black until i press lock button then it turns a little blue). siri works if i hold down the button but the screen is still pitch black. the screen is also completely popped out. What should i do? what do you think apple will do?
take it to Apple and have the screen replaced.

This has happened doing the latest software update. I think I accidentally deleted iTunes before doing the latest update in trying to make room on the phone when it came up with limited space.
My iPhone is locked with the connect to iTunes logo on screen. I have connected and trying to restore but it is not working. I have turned it on and off but to no avail.
