HT4623 When I access iTunes, it syncs my iPhone to the mac pc, but after syncing, I cannot find the drop down that says "devices" so that I can check details about backups. How do I get to the window that says "devices"? thank you!
When my iphone5 is connected to my mac pc by the usb cable, the phone syncs with my mac pc. However, after it is finished syncing, I do not know how to access the window in itunes that has the option "devices". I obviously, am a newbie and would appreciate any help. Thank you!
When connected your phone should be listed on the top right. Click it without clicking the eject icon.

Accidents happen, and apple can certainly assist you with replacement of said device. Most manufacters would tell you to buy a brand new retail unit, apple will charge you about half price for a replacement unit. I agree its unfortunate that it happend, but expecting a free replacement is just going to lead to disappointment

But the result on submission has the email going to the right place but I want to replace the host server standard page with my thankyou.php page.
The host instructions (https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/Homepage_mail-handler_script#toc_3) refer to mailhandler fields - specifically

A URL to a page that the client should see once the form is completed. If omitted a standard page will appear saying the form has been submitted
What is this and what is the script I need to add into my dreamweaver cs4 source code in the feedback page and where abouts do I insert it so I still get the email containing the form contents and the user gets a thankyou page?

I downloaded the free DIY script but have no idea which bit I need to use to add to what I have made in Dreamweaver - it looks like this is an alternative form but I only need the piece of script to add to mine to onsubmitform call up a thankyou page.
Apologies I don't code I dont even use dreamweaver other than this specific situation and I rely on the DW help which has me asking the forum for the script as anything outside of adobe instruction do a then be = c or cut and paste x in this spot to do Y is probably out of my depth.
If I really knew what I was doing then the tectite site would be great but if their formmail has the capability as they describe below how do I get DreamWeaver forms to have the same redirect the user capability?
Or am I expecting to much from DW? If DW cannot do this then I will accept that the server default page is it (as crude as it looks)- at least the end result is success.

This How-To guide explains how to redirect the user to a custom URL after they've submitted your form.
Redirecting the User
All versions of FormMail display a default page to the user if you don't specify something else.
There are two possible outcomes to a user's form submission:
Success; or,
Failure (I do not need this for DW as it is already validated before submit form)
Static Pages
In the case of a successful form submission, FormMail defaults to a generic "Thank you" page. In the case of a failed form submission, FormMail defaults to a generic error page.
You can choose a different page by specifying a URL with "good_url" and "bad_url" fields, for success, and failure, respectively.
Like this:
<input type="hidden" name="good_url" value="http://yoursite.com/thanks.htm" />
<input type="hidden" name="bad_url" value="http://yoursite.com/error.htm" />
These are hidden fields that you add to your HTML form. You don't need to change the PHP code in FormMail to get redirection to work.
Template Pages
The "good_url" feature provides you with a static results page. If you'd like to show some of the information the user submitted, you can use a field called "good_template".
To do this, you need to set the TEMPLATEDIR or TEMPLATEURL setting in FormMail's configuration. Also, download the Sample Good Template and read the instructions in there.
There's a similar feature for error handling called "bad_template". However, error handling is more complicated so we've provided a separate HOW TO guide on Advanced Error Handling. -

Please, help! Thanks.You need to get on a Snow Leopard system, log into the App Store with your Apple ID, then download the Lion installer. The re-download is free. After the installer is downloaded it will start automatically. Now, quit the installer. You can now make a copy of the installer that you will find in the Applications folder.
Now, you also may be able to get this to work: Open the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key while clicking on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. This is supposed to activate the Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. Clicking the Install button will then re-download the Lion installer. -
How do I get all the songs into one album when it's various artisits?
I have several albums that are made up of various artists, not just one. How do I get all the artists under the one heading of the album?
Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For compilations use Various Artists and also got the options tab and set Part of a compilation to Yes. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

Built-in apps cannot be deleted. However, there never was a FaceTime icon on the iPhone. FaceTime is accessed by selecting a contact in the Contacts app, and then selecting FaceTime. The same can be done from the Contacts tab in the Phone app.

When I skype, and take videos, my microphone doesn't work. I know it's on but my friends can't hear me. How do I get it to work?
I'm sure you have checked, but make sure your mute button on the keyboard is not on , also check that you haven't touched the space bar during a call as that mutes it.

Hi- I keep getting an error message show up when I sync my iPhone to my Mac Book Pro. the message is that I can't copy to the Macintosh disc because I don' have enough access privileges. Then when I click ok my phone gets stuck syncing. any thoughts?
Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk
Click Repair Disk Permissions -
When I open iTunes on my Macbook Pro, I am now getting a small window that says "Checking iTunes Library" with a pinwheel. This goes on for 5-10 minutes before I am able to access iTunes. Help! How do I fix this?
I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.
