HT4759 I want to be able to use my documents in iWork's on my iPad is it going to be possible if I upgrade to mountain lion
I am concerned to upgrade to mountain lion that I will not be able to use my documents on my iPad and my Mac 10.6 currently. I am reading that may not have some things I have now and have to keep upgrading apps. Mainly I do reports for work an want to be able to do them on my iPad as I am in my stores. From what I am reading I need to upgrade to mountain lion to do so
Well, if you really do have OSX 10.6, then you can't be using iCloud, since you need at least 10.4 (Lion). You can use either Lion or Mountain Lion, but the latter is better for what you want because saving Pages documents to icloud is automatic. It's a manual process using Lion (requiring you to log into icloud.com with a browser and dragging files to the iWork page).
To use pages or any of the other iWork file types, you have to have the corresponding iOS app, like Pages for iOS.

A third-party app probably cannot obtain a stream from another app. To the best of my knowledge, such a capability is not provided in the software development kit, apps being "sandboxed" from each other and so allowed to communicate only in very specific and limited ways.
I'm not completely sure what you mean by "limitations on video capture". An iPhone, to the best of my knowledge, can natively record video only through it's built-in camera, and audio while doing video recording only through the built-in microphone or mic/headphone jack. There might be a video recording app that would allow audio input from an external device connected to the dock connector, but I'm not sure.

We have two iphones and only one ipad - no mac. We want to be able to use "find my iphone" for both phones. How do we get the ipad to accept two iphone accounts? icloud is enabled on all three devices.
Also, be aware of the following:
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod/iPhone should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -
First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance). Relucltantly, I am now typing this - and I suspect it will not help in the slightest! I bought the FULL not TRIAL edition of Photoshop Elements and I have contacted Amazon who confirmed this, but say I need to contact you. Can you please let me know how I can resolve this? I want to transfer movies I have downloaded from iTunes from my iPhone 5 to a flash drive to be able to use when I have no wifi on my iPad,when power is out etc ?
If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

My HD TV has two HDMI inputs which are being used by a home theater system and my RCN cable box. i want to be able to use my appleTV as well as those but do not have another HDMI input. How can i connect it so that i can use any 1 of the 3 at any time?
Get an HDMI switcher. Plug in the ATV directly to the TV and then use the switcher on the other input.

Living in Mexico, but want to be able to use our phone in the states.
We are living in Mexico, but, when visiting the states, we want to be able to use our phone and have a US number. If we buy an unlocked IPhone and have it activated with a Mexico plan and number, can we change the SIM card when we visit the states and have a pay as you go US number?
I am afraid that this is a local policy of Germany as a state, and adopted by companies, which activate there. This method has been used in many European countries, but not in all countries. I am still happy that almost all the films are subtitled in Romania as this allows to hear the original language, the original voice and is very useful for learning foreign languages. Dubbing films is, in my mind, against the European spirit of mutlicultural continent, and states which still support this should abandon this method. I think this is an issue of a cultural phenomenon, not an Apple forum issue.

I want to be able to use 2 different scanner machines (A4 and A3). I have installed the 2 drivers.
However it seems I can only use only 1 scanner.

We have iPad2 and Macbook Pro. Both are registered to iTunes acct (same email address). We want to be able to use Facetime when she goes off to college. Any advise greatly appreciated!
On your Mac, launch FaceTime and then go to the menubar for FaceTime->Preferences.
Within Preferences for FaceTime, look for the entries under "You can be reached for calls at:" and click on "Add Another Email..."
Add another email address.
The iPad can now be used to "call" the Mac by trying to start a FaceTime connection to the alternate email address you just entered. The Mac can be used to call the iPad by trying to start a FaceTime connection to the primary email address associated with the iPad. -

If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.

The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

I am currently using Leopard but need Snow Leopard to be able to get Mountain Lion. I can see this is no longer available from Apple. How would I get it so I could then get Mountain Lion. I want the Logic 9 Mac App Store App as I don't want to have to buy the whole Logc 9 from Studio 8.
Some help would be much appreciated.
