HT4759 No Pushing/Fetching between my iPhone and PC.  PC is a HP dv6700 Notebook.  OS is MS Vista with service pac 2, 32 bit architecture.  Does 32 vs. 64 bit matter?

Does 32 or 64 bit architecture matter concerning iCloud and PC issues?
Does it matter that I setup iCloud in my iPhone prior to setting up on my PC?

  • HT5622 My wife and I shared an Apple ID, have closed out iTunes on her iPhone and iPad but will not allow her email address to be associated with a new account even though it does not appear anywhere in my information. Any suggestions.

My wife and I shared an Apple ID, I have closed out the iTunes on her iPhone and her iPad. While trying to set up a new iTunes account when I enter her email address it says we have to select a new email address. I have checked and her email is not associated with my iTunes account and really do not want to establish another email account. Any suggestions?

    Hi Stateler74,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You might be able to find the Apple ID that her email address is associated with by following this article's instructions:

  • Pushing & Fetching Emails on Mac and iPhone

Can someone please explain to me what "pushing" and "fetching" are as it relates to Mail on iCloud.  I have my hotmail account set to my iPhone mail and my Mac iMail.  I receive my hotmail emails on both devices.  However, when I read or delete from one it does not update on the other.  I have to read or delete on each device.  I'm sure there is a switch/button/setting that I simply don't have right.  Could someone help me out?
    Thanks!

You are not accessing your hotmail account as an Exchange account on your computer so push access does not apply there - fetch applies there which is not the same, and accessing it on what other devices as in plural and is accessed as what type of account there?
I have an Exchange account with my company which is pushing email to my iPhone and iPad just fine.
Google provides support for free Gmail accounts.
Apple provides support for free iCloud accounts.
Microsoft provides support for free Hotmail accounts and you need to contact them to report a problem with their push access, which is a new protocol for them. Since you just started having a problem and there has been no iOS update to change anything with the iPhone, the problem lies with Microsoft.
If they don't give you support, too bad.

  • The difference between an iphone and an ipod touch?

i want to know if the difference between an iphone and an ipod touch is just that the iphone is like a phone that has internet and is a phone. or what else is it?

The iPhone includes the same as an iPod Touch but also includes a phone, a camera, and a GPS radio.
In addition to having internet access via wi-fi, the iPhone also has internet access via the cellular network, so as long as you have cellular reception with the iPhone, you have access to the internet in addition to having access via an available wi-fi network.

How do I sync my email between my iPhone and iPad?

A razmee209 said, set up your email in settings on both devices.
iPhone email will always be up to date.
The iPad will update when it has internet connection.   If it is a wifi only iPad, it will only update when connected to wifi, but will do so automatically.

  • Can I use home sharing between my iPhone and iPad? Or do I need to use a computer?

I want to use home sharing between my iPhone and Ipad. So I can use the remote app. But I can't get it to work

You can use it to share the library on your computer to the iPad, not the other way around.
On the computer, set up homesharing in the advanced menu. On the iPad go to settings > music.

  • Why doesn't iChat synch between my iPhone and iPad and iMac ?

I am using iChat on my iMac but the messages won't synch between my iPhone and iPad even though I am signed into my iCloud account on all three devices

    HI,
It seems that in Messages Beta you could create a "Start Date" if all old messages were removed from the iOS devices.
It seems no different in Messages.  (I used this Method during the Beta period)
Others have reported that turning the Phone Off and On again also creates a "Start Point"
(The two methods are mutually exclusive if you do the above first).

  • How can I sync iMessage between my iPhone and iPad

Hello all, I have a firtst gen iPad (running iOS5.1.1). I using my Apple ID to run iMessege on it. Recently, I bought iPhone 5 (2 month ago) running iOS 6.1.3. I sing up to iMessage using Apple ID but start new converstion from my phone number as caller ID. Somehow only 1 conversion syncs between my iPhone and my iPad. Recently it stop. So I start looking for answers. I want to sync my all converstions, I found that I can set phone number as Caller ID on an iPad but I can't found how. I will apreciate if anyone will put some light on how iMessage works.
I still want that my caller ID will be my phone number cause I don't want to make 2 separte thread on the one who get my message.
If I set my email as caller ID so when I'll send a text message from my phone it will make a seperate thread converstion from me on the device of the person I send the text to.

  • How can I share photos between my iphone and ipad?

I want to automatically share photos between my iPhone and iPad.  I use iCloud and I setup Photo Stream but my photos are not moving from one device to the other. My goal is to have all my photos on both devices- automatically. How can I accomplish this?
    Thank you!

Photos will Not go between iPad & iPhone..they have to go thro' iCloud as a provider or sync via your computer individually...you need Wireless on both or a direct USB connection..
On each iPad and iPhone you can initialize via the Summary/Photos when they are connected via iTunes..

  • I just bought OS X Lion and now it says I need to go to the App store and pay even more money to get a newer iPhoto for PhotoStream to work between my iPhone and my computer.  Is this a rip off to make us pay more $ or is thereanotherway to update iPhoto?

Yes, you’ll need to upgrade to the latest version of iPhoto for $15.  That is the only solution.  You can read here if you wish: http://www.macworld.com/article/160380/2011/06/icloud_what_you_need_to_know.html

  • What are the functional differences between the iPhone and the iPod Touch, barring of course the differences in service requirements.

What are the functional differences between the iPhone and the iPod Touch, barring of course the differences in service requirements.

For one, their form factors are slightly different as the iPhone has a bit more squarish body whereas the iPod Touch has a tapered back to it.
The iPhone also has much better front and rear cameras. Exact details as to the difference in megapixels depends on whether or not you talking about the iPhone 4 or 4S.  If you would like to get more details, you can always view
each models specs on Apple's online store.
