ON MY IPAD I HAVE AVAILABLE 22.4GB IN MY ICLOUD AND YET IT SAYS I CANNOT DOWNLOAD ITEMS BECAUSE I AM SHORT OF 11GB SPACE WHEN I HAVE 22.4GB, WHY AND WHAT SHOULD I DO PLS?
Icloud storage is the one you can purchase for 40 bucks for a year and you didn't need to do that - 5 free seem to be enough for you.
Ipad storage can be only "increased" by buying new bigger sized ipad. Apple makes those up to 128 Gigabyte in size now, but that will cost you a bit more the 40 bucks.

I have downloaded OS 7 and now cannot download books from cloud to device. Any sggestions?
I got round the situation by making a second user on my computer. That user synched my new shuffle, the first user synched my iPod.
Then my external drive, on which all my iTunes were stored, failed. Then my computer started dying, then my printer died, and now I have a new Mac. I can't get that online because my ISP forgot to send me a router when they said they would.
So now I have 3000 songs on my iPod and will have to get them off it and onto my new Mac iTunes when I get online, next week. -
HT5622 I just purchased more storage on the iPad and it still says I cannot download the ios7?
I just purchased more storage, but cannot get the ios7 to download even tho I now have over 9 gb left over.
You need storage space on the device, not in iCloud.
Give this a try:
Download Apple – iTunes 11.1. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. Select your device under the Devices heading in the iTunes' sidebar. Click on the Summary tab in iTunes' main window. Click on the Update button.
Note that the update servers are under heavy strain today. -
I lost all my ipod songs when my mom plugged her exact same ipod (5th generation nano) into my computer. She did not get my songs on hers but somehow I lost mine. I tried the five R's and evrything I could find online. I cannot get the songs from my iTunes library back on my ipod. I get a message that says. "Gina's ipod cannot be restored because it is being used in another application." Please help me
Why do you need to restore your iPod to resync your content back over to it from your iTunes library? You should just be able to configure the content to sync to your device as you did before this problem occurred.

cant sync iPod touch. comes up with "cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (21.6MB required, 304.8MB available)." I am so confused. I have more than enough space even on PC.
That message is telling you that you do not have enough stgorage on the iPod to accomodate all the media you are trying to sync to the iPod.

annot sync ipad. statement "ipad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items (additional 157.3 mb required) There is 1.86gb available on ipad and i am trying to remove items. any thoughts...
If you haven't changed your sync preferences, meaning that you are not trying to add more content from the last time that you synced with iTunes, try quitting iTunes, restart your computer and then try again.
If you are trying to add more content to the iPad than what you had before, you can only use so much of the available storage capacity that is left on the device. You probably need to leave about 10% of the space free so if you have a 16GB iPad, you might not have enough space left to sync that content that you are trying to sync. -
I just got a new computer. I have downloaded ITunes and authorized it. It shows my apps and music, but says something about "downloading all". Do I have to download everythingon to this new computer or is it already in there? I also have an iPad that I need to sync. Is there anything special I need to do with the new computer before syncing the iPad?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Issy2090Your past purchases are not on the computer. By choosing download all, those purchases will download to the computer.
Once authorized to your iTunes account you can control the computer.
When syncing the iPad the first time you will get the warning " this iPad is synced with another computer, syncing will erase all contents and replace with the contents of this computer"
Say yes, this is what you wan to do. -
I have already downloaded wrath of the titans and watched it through but a download of the movie in the iTunes store still remains and also keeps timing out? This is preventing me from downloading any other movies onto my iPad any suggestions?
no, i had to leave so i logged out and when i opened itunes on my mac and went into the downloads tab it only had one paused download listed. i resumed the download for the one movie listed and the other one never showed up. its been about two weeks since i initially bought the two movies so i figured something was wrong.

Dear Friends...... I have an ipad 2 32gb with wifi and 3g enabled sim..... i bought it second hand .... and now if am going to download any games it is showing me an email id and asking for its password... please guide me how can i change this setting to my email id and password
Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then login with your id. Any content already on the iPad will be tied to the previous owner's id and it can't be copied or transferred to your id - so it's probably best to do restore the iPad back to factory defaults and start as from new with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents And Settings

The message is The Ipad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in the ITunes library (6.55G required, 6.98G available). which doesn't make sense as there is enough room according to the message
How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

Please Answer
When IOS7 comes out, will the current iPhone 5 and iPad mini have the finger scanner option, or is it just the new 5S, because in the release videos, they showed an on screen finger scanner, so I was curious whether older models will have this function? The fingerprint scanner will be a function of new hardware.

I bought two movies from itunes on my Ipad. And it just says waiting on downloads?
I bought two movies from itunes on my Ipad. And it just says waiting on downloads?
With files as large as movies can be - make sure that you have ample storage capacity available on your iPad in order for the movies to download.
You can try restarting the iPad and see if the downloads will resume as well, or launch iTunes on you computer and go to Store>Check for Available Downloads, and download the movie to iTunes and then sync the movies to the iPad.
Make sure that you are signed into the correct account on your iPad - Settings>Store>Apple ID. -
Hi,
I know similar cases were posted here but I did not find something that matched my case:
Here is the message I got:
The iPad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (1 MB required, 4.29 GB available).
Obviously I have 1M space if I have 4.29GB of space.
I do not have any music or photos
I just updated the current apps I have and did an synced several new apps with a total of about 500M (which is far less then the free ~4GB I have)
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thank youYou have seem similar instances of this, but have you tried anything suggested in those discussions? I would quit ITunes, reboot your computer, reset the iPad and then try again. I would also close all apps on the iPad before resetting the device. When you try the sync again, use a different USB port on your computer.
I Know this seems to be an no brainer, but make sure that you didn't accidentally select more content to sync than the iPad can hold
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
In order to reset your iPad, hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen after which time you can release the buttons and let the iPad start up. -
I have never updated ios on my iPhone 4. I am currently running ios 4. I tried to update yesterday to ios 6 but many hours into the backup I got an error message saying that continuing would cause all of my phone contents to be lost. What should I do?
Why, if it told you you have insufficient space on your computer, would it suggest making more space available on your phone?
At a guess, you have insufficient space on your phone. Installing software will typically require more space than the final size of the software, perhaps even twice or three times as much, for the installation process. You can easily dump some videos or music temporarily, and then synch them back in afterwards.
