HTTP Accept: header in HTTPService

I have been trying to find a way to override the HTTP Accept:
header passed by the HTTPService object. As far as I can tell, it
always returns the following header "Accept: text/html,
application/xml, image/png, text/plain, */*" regardless of whether
I explicitly set the header using the headers property. I need this
header use only "Accept: text/xml" or "Accept: application/xml".
Any light someone could shed would be very helpful.
Thanks.

My problem: I have an applet which emulates a
wml-browser. The applet is running in Internet
Explorer 5. I can access all http-header fields from
the applet and all settings made by the applet are
honored.
But not the accept header-field... I can set it, but
it is always modified afterwards by Internet Explorer
or Netscape... It always include accept: text/html
while it should only accept wml
Thanx in advance,
Marco
Question is ofcourse: How can I prevent this unwanted behaviour of the browser in which the applet is running?

  • How do we determine the HTTP authentication header for our hosted solution?

    How do we determine the HTTP authentication header (adobeconnect_admin_httpauth) from our hosted solution? The documentation says to find it in a custom.ini file but I have no clue how to access that.
    I need to supply that to the adobeconnect plugin used with a Moodle instance, screnshot below.

  • HTTP adapter header fields

    Hai All,
       Is there any option to add header fields dynamically in the HTTp adapter header fields?
    I am doing a file to HTTp scenario.In this i have to pick a file using file adapter and add some header values(header values are both static and dynamic)and using HTTP adapter place it at a target URL.Is it possible to avoid  mapping since there is only picking up of file and adding some headers to it.I can see header fields in the HTTP reseiver adapter.Can i use these to add the static and dynamiuc header fields.specifically i have two questions.
    1)I want to include the source file name which is DYNAMIC as a field in the header fields in the target payload.How can this be achieved?Should i go for mapping and write a UDF for the same or is there any option to add dynamic values in the HTTP receiver adapter header fields?
    2)what are these header fields for?
    Can somebody explain it to me.I have gone through the Blogs like http receiver adapter configuration etc..would be of great help if anybody could explain it to me in detail.

    Thanks for the replies but my question is still un answered.please guide me on how to proceed?
    I am going to send a txt file.On top of the contents of the file i want these headers to be attached
    In the header fields of HTTP receiver adapter configuration can i give the following format?
    Header           Value
    AS2 from:    hgdfdjfhd
    AS2 to:        fhdfjdfdfnd
    subject:       hdsjdhsdsd
    will it appear in the target file as
    AS2 from:    hgdfdjfhd
    AS2 to:        fhdfjdfdfnd
    subject:       hdsjdhsdsd
    //file content starts here
    dsgdsjfgdsfggf
    hfdjhfdhfdjfdfhhdsfh
    hgdsjfgdsjfgdfdgfdg
    gfdsahdgsdfdgfgdsg
    what is to be done for acheiving this kind of target file?
    "If you choose to use HTTP Header fields then you can enter Field1 to Field 6 values. This will be embeded into the HTTP request as HeaderFieldOne and so on."
    can this HeaderFieldOne to HeaderFieldsix be populated with any valueslike
    AS2 from: ggdhfsdf and all?
    please help me out.

  • Add cookie to HTTP request header when calling web service

    I'm trying to call web service using JDeveloper 11g. I successfully generated web service proxy from WSDL document. I can successfully call this particular web service's method "login" which returns "session_id", which then needs to be inserted as a cookie in the HTTP request header in later calls to other methods. This is how the HTTP request header should look like:
    POST /webservice HTTP/1.1
    Host: registrar.carnet.hr
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    User-Agent: .hr domene
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
    SOAPAction: "https://registrar.carnet.hr/webservice#get_domain_name"
    Content-Length: 532
    Cookie: session_id=f3po0ba01a47gd64792151ee43a25765;
    How can this be accomplished? There is not much code that I wrote, everything is generated by JDeveloper's wizard...
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    RegistrarServicePortPortClient client =
    new RegistrarServicePortPortClient();
    client.setPortCredentialProviderList();
    // add your code here
    String login;
    login = client.login("username", "password");
    System.out.println(login);
    String myCookie = "session_id="+login;
    System.out.println(myCookie);
    *// what can be done to add myCookie to the HTTP request header?*
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    Thanks in advance,

  • Using HTTP Range Header in Sound's URL Request

    Hi,
    We have an audio player that loads and play external mp3s using the Sound object.  To improve audio scrubbing performance over slow connections we're
    thinking of adding the Range header to the URLrequest to retrieve a specific byte range when the user adjusts the seek bar. Has anyone done this before? Is this even possible with Flash?  Thanks in advance for your help.

    I will try to describe my project maybe somebody will give me another solution. I have 2 web applications, running on Jboss and Oracle As, in the same network. The application on Oracle As uses basic authentication. The application running on Jboss has no authentication, basic, form on digest, but the request is to implement an authorization against the Oracle As users.
    I find out the solution to authenticate through the java code using Authenticator.setDefault, please see the code above, but when I try to click a link to a secured page in Oracle As I still receive the basic popup askink me for user and password.
    Therefore I need to add authentication information to the http request header sent by the client running on jboss when open a secured page from the second app, running on Oracle As.
    The application on Oracle Aps uses basic authentication so I just need to add the "Authorization: Basic <base64 string>" header. I checked with http://web-sniffer.net/ to see exactly how this header looks like.
    Can anybody offer an example to demonstrate how to add the Authorization header? Thanks.

  • Cocoa, HTTP Custom header

    I am having problems to get custom header with http (POST).
    I have tried CFHTTPMessageRef, but it supports only CFHTTPMessageSetHeaderFieldValue, that requires field and value.
    I don't want to set field, I just want send simple message after normal headers. For example:
    (First normal headers then custom message):
    User-Agent: MyAgent
    Accept: /
    Host: myhost.com
    Connection: keep-alive
    my custom message after normal headers and line break
    How can I do this?

    If I use "CFHTTPMessageSetBody" and send request (and then take capture of tcp dump), the port capture is this:
    <snip>
    User-Agent: myAgent
    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Host: myHost.com
    Accept: text/html
    Content-Length: 14
    Connection: close
    ,ƒG| D D Pü펵 Ë¬ì› E 6ÏÝ@ @#ÝÀ¨ ÂŒ“ù Á PÐïî´]K§PÿÿY Post data test,
    It's not sent directly after headers.
    But if I use Window's HTTPSendRequest's optional data:
    capture of the tcp:
    <snip>
    User-Agent: myAgent
    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Host: myHost.com
    Accept: text/html
    Content-Length: 14
    Connection: close
    Post data test
    ("Post date test") is sent directly after headers...
    On mac side, my server is not able to read mac's post data with $HTTPRAW_POSTDATA (php).
    I guess I have to make my own socket connection class to do this. Or find something else.

  • Multiple HTTP requests using single HTTPService component

    Hi,
    I am having one requirement, I need to use a single HTTPService component to send request to a same and single ASP.net multiple times.
    How can I acheive that..? I know that I can acheive this by sending one request at a time and after the "result" event is called for the first request then sending the second request and so on...
    But if I do so then it will be delayed response as I need to wait until the result handler for the previous request is called...
    So how do I do this..?
    Any help greatly appreciated....:)
    Thanks in advance..
    Thanks,

    yep, the setting works when set to 10. Seemed to not work when set to 20. Anyways, summary is "long polling" and Flex
    or Flash are not good compatriates. So, you will need to work out your own mechanism on the server or client
    side to limit the sockets used/wasted. Painful but true.

  • OSB - Setting http Authorization header with Proxy Service

    Hi,
    I have the following scenario:
    PS1 -> PS2 -> BS (with a SA configured to pass through)
    I need to set the Authorization http header based on some information in payload, so:
    PS1 receives the payload and route to PS2, where username/password are extracted and using a java call out the base64 hash is generated.
    In the PS2 route i'm trying to set the Authorization header using the set Transport Headers option.
    When i do a request to test this operation, osb show me a beautiful CredentialNotFound exception.
    I have tryied to set the Authorization header in the route on the PS1, without success.
    Someone can help me ?

    I can't set the Proxy Service to do the authentication. I will try to explain better:
    I have a Business Service which have a Service Account associated to pass through the Authorization header to the service provider do the validation.
    I front of this business service i have a Proxy Service which route the requests to the BS.
    All partners send this Authorization header, but now, i have one that will not send no matter what.
    The username and passwrod will come into the payload (and will be variable).
    In some point before the proccess i need to extract the information from payload and set the Authorization header.
    Ty for you time.
