HttpContext in itemDeleting Event Handler (works on itemUpdating and itemAdding)
Hello
How can I redirect to a custom page in the itemDeleting event handler.
I don´t know why but the HttpContext is not available in the event handlers.
My objective is to redirect to some page in the itemDeleting after setting the properties.Cancel = true event handlers and replace/avoid the standard sharepoint error page. For that i need the HttpContext.
One thing curious is that the following solution works for the itemAdding and itemUpdating and I can access the HttpContext.
Code Snippet
public class MyEventHandler: SPItemEventReceiver
private HttpContext current;
public MyEventHandler() : base()
current = HttpContext.Current;
I hope you can help me solve this problem.
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
André
Hello all
The following solved my problem.
About getting the current httpcontext inside the event handler itemdeleting i have found here (http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3120467&SiteID=1) a way to get it.
In my scenario I want to cancel the event handler and redirect the user to a custom page or just avoid the sharepoint error page and return to source page.
Code Snippet
public override void ItemDeleting(SPItemEventProperties properties)
base.ItemDeleting(properties);
//event handler code
properties.Cancel = true;
properties.Status = SPEventReceiverStatus.CancelNoError;
SPSite site = new SPSite(http://mysiteurl);
SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb("mywebapplication");
if (HttpContext.Current == null)
HttpRequest request = new HttpRequest("", web.Url, "");
HttpContext.Current = new HttpContext(request, new HttpResponse(new StringWriter()));
HttpContext.Current.Items["HttpHandlerSPWeb"] = web;
//to redirect to a custom url just replace the web.Url for a custom one
SPUtility.Redirect(web.Url, SPRedirectFlags.UseSource, HttpContext.Current);
Hope this helps,
Regards,
André Cunha

Can Event Handling work in Paint/Shape ( drawline/Rectangle)?
Hi,
I m having rectangle and line in my JPanel.
The question is, can mouseListener work on that things?
for the example, let say i click the rectangle - popup message will appear. Please help me and sample coding will help a lot
TqHi ,
first understand the reply2 it is true.
you can store the information whatever you drawn on the paint method ( like ArrayList , Vecotr , HashMap , Hashtable .... into the Shape co-ordinates and locations some thing like that ) take the MouseEvent to check the mouse position which shape is involved and process it. -

Event handler doesn't work for a Canvas inside a canvas (Possible bug in Flex 4)
Hi Guys,
I have a canvas sitting inside another canvas. When i try to catch the mouseClick event in the child canvas, im not able to do it. When i change the child canvas component to a 'Panel', the event handler works perfectly fine. Any suggestions/solutions?ok a few things you should know... it is recomended to use the spark components when working with flash builder 4 thought the mx components are available spark is much litghter in weight. also if you want to use the equivalent of a canvas in spark then you want to use a "group" but ill warn you they dont support inline styles, a border container looked more appropiate for what you were trying to do below. However. i did fix your code for flex 4.0
look below.
component:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Canvas xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"

Unable to get automatic event handling for OK button.
Hello,
I have created a form using creatobject. This form contains an edit control and Search, Cancel buttons. I have set the Search buttons UID to "1" so it can handle the Enter key hit event. Instead its caption changes to Update when i start typing in the edit control and it does not respond to the Enter key hit. Cancel happens when Esc is hit.
My code looks like this -
Dim oCreationParams As SAPbouiCOM.FormCreationParams
oCreationParams = SBO_Application.CreateObject(SAPbouiCOM.BoCreatableObjectType.cot_FormCreationParams)
oCreationParams.UniqueID = "MySearchForm"
oCreationParams.BorderStyle = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormBorderStyle.fbs_Sizable
Dim oForm As SAPbouiCOM.Form = SBO_Application.Forms.AddEx(oCreationParams)
oForm.Visible = True
'// set the form properties
oForm.Title = "Search Form"
oForm.Left = 300
oForm.ClientWidth = 500
oForm.Top = 100
oForm.ClientHeight = 240
'// Adding Items to the form
'// and setting their properties
'// Adding an Ok button
'// We get automatic event handling for
'// the Ok and Cancel Buttons by setting
'// their UIDs to 1 and 2 respectively
oItem = oForm.Items.Add("1", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON)
oItem.Left = 5
oItem.Width = 65
oItem.Top = oForm.ClientHeight - 30
oItem.Height = 19
oButton = oItem.Specific
oButton.Caption = "Search"
'// Adding a Cancel button
oItem = oForm.Items.Add("2", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON)
oItem.Left = 75
oItem.Width = 65
oItem.Top = oForm.ClientHeight - 30
oItem.Height = 19
oButton = oItem.Specific
oButton.Caption = "Cancel"
oItem = oForm.Items.Add("NUM", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_EDIT)
oItem.Left = 105
oItem.Width = 140
oItem.Top = 20
oItem.Height = 16
Dim oEditText As SAPbouiCOM.EditText = oItem.Specific
What changes do i have to make to get the enter key to work?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
SheetalHello Felipe,
Thanks for pointing me to the correct direction.
So on refering to the documentation i tried out a few things. But I am still missing something here.
I made the following changes to my code -
oForm.AutoManaged = True
oForm.SupportedModes = 1 ' afm_Ok
oItem = oForm.Items.Add("1", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON)
oItem.Left = 5
oItem.Width = 65
oItem.Top = oForm.ClientHeight - 30
oItem.Height = 19
oItem.SetAutoManagedAttribute(SAPbouiCOM.BoAutoManagedAttr.ama_Visible, 1, SAPbouiCOM.BoModeVisualBehavior.mvb_Default)
oButton = oItem.Specific
oButton.Caption = "OK"
AND
oForm.Mode = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormMode.fm_OK_MODE
oItem = oForm.Items.Add("1", SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_BUTTON)
oItem.Left = 5
oItem.Width = 65
oItem.Top = oForm.ClientHeight - 30
oItem.Height = 19
oItem.AffectsFormMode = False
I get the same behaviour OK button changes to update and enter key does not work.
Could you please tell me find what is it that i am doing wrong?

Javascript embedded in button pl/sql event handler not being executed
Javascript calls not working from pl/sql button event handler. What am I missing? Are specific settings needed to execute javascript from pl/sql proceedures?
Example: Want to toggle target='_blank' off and on in a button pl/sql event handler to open url call in new window & then reset when processing submit is done & the app returns to the form.
portal form button's pl/sql submit handler:
begin
htp.p('<script language=JavaScript>') ;
htp.p('this.form.target="_blank"') ;
htp.p('</script>') ;
PORTAL.wwa_app_module.set_target('http://www.oracle.com') ;
htp.p('<script language=JavaScript>') ;
htp.p('this.form.target="_blank"') ;
htp.p('</script>') ;
end ;
Putting the following in the button's javascript on_click event handler works great:
this.form.target='_blank'
to force opening new window with a call in the button's submit pl/sql code via:
PORTAL.wwa_app_module.set_target('http://www.oracle.com') ;
but then the target='_blank' is left on when the submit is done & we return to the form.
putting the above javascript as a function (called fcn_newpage) elsewhere (e.g., after form opens) & calling in the submit pl/sql with
htp.p('fcn_newpage') ;
also doesn't work.
Metalink thought this was an application issue instead of a bug, so thought I'd see if anyone knows what's going wrong here. (Portal 9.0.4.1)thanks for your discussion of my post.
Please clarify:
"htp.p('fcn_newwindow') sends a string":
What would you suggest the proper syntax for a function fcn_newwindow() call from a pl/sql javascript block that differs from
htp.p('<script language="Javascript">') ;
htp.p('fcn_newwindow');
htp.p('</script>');
or more simply
htp.p('fcn_newwindow') ;
More generally, what I'm trying to figure out is under what conditions javascript is executed, if ever, in the pl/sql of a button (either the submit or custom event handler, depending on the button).
I've seen lots of posts asking how to do a simple htp.p('alert("THIS IS TROUBLE")') ; in a pl/sql event handler for a button on a form, but no description of how this can be done successfully.
In addition to alerts, in my case, I'd like to call a javascript fcn from a pl/sql event handle that would pass a URL (e.g., http://www.oracle.com) where the javascript fcn executed
window.open(URL). The API call to set_target(URL) in pl/sql has no ability to open in a new window, so calling that is inadequate to my needs and I must resort to javascript.
Its clear in the PL/SQL of a button, you can effect form components since p_session..set_target & p_session.get_target set or get the contents of form components.
So to see if javascript ever works, I tried to focus on something simple that only had to set what amounts to an enviromental variable when we returned to the form after a post. I chose to try to change the html value of TARGET from javascript in the PL/SQL button because it doesn't need to be implemented until we finish the post and return to the form.
So I focused on a hack, setting this.form.TARGET='_blank' in the on_click event handler that forced every subsequent URL call or refresh of the form to be a new window. I then wanted to turn off opening new windows once I'd opened the URL call in a new window by setting TARGET='' in the portal form. I can achieve what I want by coding this.form.TARGET='' in the javascript (on_focus, on_change, or on_mousedown, ...) of every form component that might refresh the form. However, that is a ridiculous hack when a simple htp.p('<script>') ; htp.p('this.form.target=""') ; htp.p('</script>') ; at the end of the button's pl/sql event handle should do the same thing reliably if javascript ever works in the pl/sql event handler.
If we didn't have access to form components through p_session calls, I'd assume it was a scope issue (what is available from the pl/sql event handler). But unless my syntax is just off, when, if ever, can javascript be used in a portal form's pl/sql event handler for a button?
if I code a javascript funtion in the forms' pl/sql before displaying form:
htp.p('<script language="JavaScript">') ;
htp.p('function fcn_new_window(URL)') ;
htp.p('window.open(URL)' ) ;
htp.p('</script>') ;
the function can be called from a button's on_click javascript event handler:
fcn_new_window('http://www.oracle.com')
but from the same button's pl/sql submit event handler this call doesn't work: htp.p('fcn_new_window("http://www.oracle.com")')
So my questions remain: Is there other syntax I need, or does javascript ever work properly from the pl/sql of a form button's event handler? If it doesn't work, isn't this a bug that should be fixed by Oracle?
I can probably figure out hacks to make things work the way I need, but executing javascript from pl/sql event handlers seems to be the expected way to affect portal html pages (forms, reports, ...) and it seems not to work as expected. I don't feel I should have to implement hacks for something as simple as calling a javascript function from pl/sql when almost every example I've found in metalink or the forums or Oracle Press's "portal bible" suggests using javascript from pl/sql via the utility htp.p() to effect web page components in portal.
My TAR on the subject, while still open, returned the result basically: "We can reproduce your situation. Everything looks okay to us, but we can't explain how to use javascript where you want or point you to any documentation that would solve your problem or expain why it should not work the way you want it to. We don't feel its a technical issue. Why don't you post the problem on the portal applications forum."
I'm hoping I'm just missing something fundamental and everything will work if I implement it a little differently. So if anyone sees my error, please let me know.
by the way, not sure this is germain, but in reference to your comment:
"redirections in pl/sql procedures give a peculiar result. in a pl/sql procedure, usually, portals give the last redirection statement and ignore anything else coming after it."
if I try to raise an alert:
htp.p('alert("you screwed up")');
return;
in a pl/sql event handler, it still doesn't raise the alert, even though its the last thing implemented in the event handler. But if I set the value of a text box using p_session..set_value_as_string() at the same spot, it correctly sets the text box value when I return to the form. -
OIM 11.1.1.5.0 - Pre process event handler
Hi everyone, I'm trying to configure a preprocess event handler to automate email and user login when I click on "create user".
I mean when I want to create a new user, I just want to fill the first name, the last name, the organization and the type and this preprocess will fill automatically the email and the user login fields. I don't know if it's possible or not with an event handler ?
Thanks
ThibaultIf you want this event handler only for manual user creation using UI then you can go with pre-process event handler. The advantage you get is, no need of refereshment. once user created email and user login field will be visible. But in case of post process you have to refresh it manaually. Yes, you have to use post process event handler if the same field you want to populate on Trusted recon as well. Beacause, Pre- process doesn't work with Trusted recon.
Hope above will help you to decide for pre or post to use.
Now, for registering plugin. Don't put jar in the zip, you have to place .class in case of event handler. jar we use for scheduled task. place your class file like below and zip
lib/*package structure folder*/EmailLoginAuto.class
ie lib/com/test/eventhandler/EmailLoginAuto.class
for importing eventhandler.xml put it anywhere in your directory structure
ex: /tmp/db/eventhandler.xml
and update the from_location as /tmp in weblogic.properties

Hi Friends,
I am trying to call a BAPI from a webdynpro application when a user
hits a button in a table. The table will have a button for each entry.
There is an iView that has the table, a custom controller that executes
the BAPI (model).
I am setting the value of the custom controller context at the onAction event handler of the iView and calling the method executeBAPI once the user hits the button. The problem is it works fine for the first time. If the user hits another button of the table on the same screen it throws a nullPointer exception. ie all the subsequent calls fail.
What could be wrong?

Post Process Event Handler not getting user's CURRENT_STATE for a UDF field
I have a post process event handler in OIM R2 BP04 , which runs on Trusted Reconciliation and it compares user's ("CURRENT_USER") state and ("NEW_USER_STATE") and based on that derives a business logic.
The problem that i am facing is that, it is not able to get the User's ("CURRENT_USER") state for a UDF(EMAIL_LIST) field and it is coming as null,and hence is breaking the business logic.The same Event Handler is working on TEST and QA ( 4 node cluster)environments and is not working on PROD environment( 4 node cluster).
The different thing that was done on was that during the initial recon the event Handler was not present and after the initial load of the users i have manually executed the database sql query which have updated the "EMAIL_LIST field manually for all the users
I think that since during the initial recon as the EMAIL_LIST was not populated and was populated through the SQL update for all the users, the orchestration inter event data does not contain email list, and so it is coming as null.
But i am seeing the same behavior for new records as well, which are created and then updated after event handler is registered.
Please reply, if you have encountered something similar.
Thnx
AkshatYes i need the old state, which is
Identity[] oldUserStatesIdntArr =

Event handler switch creation (for repeated use )
Im creating a hyperterminal like application which reads from serial port and writes into serial port.
The reading and writing works almost fine..I also wants to create some custom "Key controls" that will send some prestored commands to the serial port.
I currently implemented two commands "ESC" and "FLASH " in the Key controls menu..
I want to send these commands ESC and FLASH each time i click a button in the menu.
I used event handler for it..and put the event handler inside an always running while loop.
But the problem is I can send only these commands only for one time during execution.
Repeated pressing of switches doesnt cause any effects..
Can somebody help please???
Im using labview 6.1. If u modify VIs using higher versions i cant open here..kindly include a jpg screenshot inthat case.
Thanking you.
Stephen.

Write.vi 44 KBHi Stephen,
in LV7.1 your events will be executed whenever I press one of the according switches...
Notes:
-Don't make several event structures. Instead make one event structure with several event cases. Read the context help for the event structure!
-I would suggest to set the mechanical action of both switches to "latch when pressed" instead of "switch..." to give a feedback to the user as the switch will be reset after reading it...
-Generally be more styleguide-conform! Use right-click on terminals to create controls/constants to avoid coercion dots (spot the red colored dots in the image?). Make error in/out in the lower left/right of the connector pattern. Avoid block diagrams larger than the screen (or what kind of monitor do you use?).
Edited:
Sorry for weird display. I have to get used to the new image gallery feature of the forum (and will use "image to the left" only on rare conditions). Btw. the preview looks different to the actual post

2 Displayable objects, 1 event handler object
Hi there,
I'm working on an application using J2ME and the MIDP profile. I was wondering, is it possible to use 1 event handler object for 2 Displayable objects? Lets say I have a list on one screen and a form on another, can I use 1 event handler object to handle the events for these two elements? I am implementing my event handler in another class, and I am trying to use the same event handler for all my screens, but it does not seem to be functioning. Any hints?
Also, is it advisable to implement the event handler in a separate class for a J2ME application? Does it really make any difference design-wise and efficiency-wise?
I would appreciate the insight..
Thanks...I would start with adding debug messages in commandAction and in nextScreen:
// debug messages are within System.out.println, do not forget to remove after fix
public void commandAction(Command s, Displayable x) {
System.out.println("command: [" + s.getLabel() + "] screen: [" + x.getTitle() + "]" );
// ...here starts your code...
public void nextScreen(int x) {
System.out.println("index: [" + x + "]);
System.out.println("screen[0] is not null: [" + (screen[0] != null) + "]" );
System.out.println("screen[0] title: [" + (screen[0].getTitle()) + "]" );
System.out.println("screen[1] is not null: [" + (screen[1] != null) + "]" );
System.out.println("screen[1] title: [" + (screen[1].getTitle()) + "]" );
// ...here starts your code...
{code}
then retry run and check messages shown in WTK console... -
I am very new to Swing....I am very confused about how event handling works. I created a button called "remove" and a list. When a user selects an item in the list and then clicks on the remove button, then the item should be deleted from the list. I am able to display the list and the button. I create a listener for the button in a separate class as follows:
class MyActionListener implements ActionListener
public void actionPerformed (ActionEvent e)
if(e.getActionCommand().equals("remove"))
{System.out.println("remove works");
Now my problem is ..how do i access the list in this class..because my list is set up in the other class (main class). Because if i try to do anything with the list in this class it shows the compile time error saying it cannot identify what list is. Please tell me how i can use the list in the MyActionListener class. Here is the code that sets up the list:
public abstract class VetNet extends JFrame implements ListSelectionListener
static DefaultListModel listM= new DefaultListModel();
static DefaultListModel listModel;
public static void main (String[] args)throws IOException
JPanel panel= new JPanel();
JLabel j=new JLabel("Welcome");
panel.add(j,BorderLayout.NORTH);
BufferedReader stdin=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
StringTokenizer reader;
reader=new StringTokenizer(stdin.readLine());
String first_name=reader.nextToken();
while(!first_name.equals("end"))
{ String last_name=reader.nextToken();
add_name(first_name,last_name);
reader=new StringTokenizer(stdin.readLine());
first_name=reader.nextToken();
}//while
DefaultListModel listModel=new DefaultListModel();
listModel=return_fname();
String first= (String)(listModel.firstElement());
JList sampleJList= new JList(listModel);

private static DefaultListModel return_fname()
return listM;
}//method return_fnameOk! This is the LONG answer, but I think you would benefit from reading it all.
Making something public means that it can be accessed from other classes; however, it must be accessed using an object(instance) of that class. This means, if I have a class MyJFrame that extends JFrame, then in another class, I can do this:
MyJFrame myFrame = new MyJFrame();
myFrame.dispose();
myFrame.isShowing = false;
Given that dispose() is a public method and isShowing is a public boolean variable that's in the MyJFrame object. Note: the opposite of public is private meaning that the variable/function is only accessible within the class. Also, in all my examples, I assume each class has access to the others.(in same Package, or imported)
There are times at which you do not want to call a function on a given object or you want variables that are defined in the CLASS context, not the OBJECT context. As in, I have the class MyJFrame, and I always want to be able to access every object(instance) of this class that I've created. I would accomplish this using a static variable. Define the variable the same place you would define any other variable of the class, but inclued the reserved word "static". As in:
public class MyJFrame{
public static Vector allFrames = new Vector();
then in my contructor, I would add this frame to the vector:
public MyFrame(){
allFrames.add(this);
Now that I have this set up, I can access all the frames I've made from anywhere using MyJFrame.allFrames (note that I use the CLASS name, and I don't have an instance of the object anywhere)
Another use of static is for functions. Going along with the same example, I could add a closeAllJFrames function:
public static void closeAllJFrames(){
for(int x=0; x<allFrames.size(); x++){
allFrames.elementAt(x).dispose();
then I can call this function from any other class using: MyJFrame.closeAllJFrames();
Also worth noting, this function could be placed in any other class(other than inner classes, which cannot have static functions), you'd just need to put MyJFrame. in front of the allFrames.
One last tip is: If you use code like I've shown, consider using a Hashtable instead of a Vector if you need to access certain frames(or whatevers) from afar. This will keep you from iterating thru the Vector and will decrease overhead significantly.
Hope this helps

OK, so here's a good question to ask for my first post to this site!
My current "project" is a GUI applet that does real-time interactions on a set of objects and user input. I'm using double buffering, event handling (from the keyboard) and multiple threads to handle the categories of "user input and graphics" and "world state updating." Here is a rough overview of how the program is layed out:
// keyboard input status class
class Keyboard extends KeyListener {
static int[] code = new int[7]; // contains keycodes of interesting keys
static boolean[] status = new boolean[7]; // status of keys (true=pressed)
static boolean getStatus(int key) {
return status[key];
void keyPressed(KeyEvent e) {
for(int i = 6; i >= 0; i--)
if(code[i] == e.code)
status[i] = true;
void keyReleased(KeyEvent e) {
for(int i = 6; i >= 0; i--)
if(code[i] == e.code)
status[i] = false;
// main program applet
class Program extends Applet implements Runnable {
static Thread thread; // main thread of applet
static Image buffer; // double buffer for offscreen rendering
static boolean running; // flag to indicate status of applet
void init() {
buffer = createImage(500, 500);
// other initializations
void destroy() {
// other disposes
void start() {
running = true;
thread = new Thread(this);
thread.start();
addKeyListener(new Keyboard()); // begin receiving input
void stop() {
running = false;
if(thread != Thread.currentThread())
thread.join(); // wait for thread to die before continuing
void run() {
double paintTimer = 0; // timer to suspend painting to buffer until necessary
double dt = 0; // difference in time between loops
while(running) {
// update timing stuff (dt and paintTimer)
// update world status
paintTimer -= dt; // to decrement painting timer
if(paintTimer <= 0) {
paintTimer = 1.0 / fps; // reset paint timer based on current fps setting
synchronized(syncObject) {
// paint world to buffer
repaint();
Thread.yield(); // to yield time to painting and user input thread
// this method is only called by the internal thread within the applet
// that is responsible for painting and event handling
void paint(Graphics g) {
// make sure painting to screen won't conflict with thread that's drawing on buffer!
synchronized(syncObject) {
g.drawImage(buffer, 0, 0, null); // do double buffering...paint buffer to screen
}So the end result is that it works fine some of the time, but every once in awhile I'll get these strange results where it'll seem as if the internal thread that handles graphics and input will get bogged down or stop responding normally, even with the Thread.yield() call from the main applet thread. I'll get results where the world will continue to be updated correctly, but the user input and onscreen rendering freeze in a particular state for a matter of seconds, and then it seems to regain control for a brief few milliseconds (hence I'll get a quick screen refresh and keyboard state change), and then it'll freeze again. Once this starts happening somewhere in the middle of execution, it continues to happen throughout that runtime session. Sometimes when I force-close the appletviewer I'll get weird native runtime exceptions that seem to occur within Sun's keyboard input manager.
Almost always it'll run perfectly for many minutes, and then all of a sudden it'll start to freeze up. Every once in awhile it freezes almost immediately after startup. I've run some testcases on it and am pretty confident it has nothing to do with the synchronization or the fact that I create a new applet thread every time the applet is restarted dynamically. Is it something happening within the event thread of the applet that I'm not aware of? Or is it something wrong with the flow of my code? Thanks for any input or help you can give! I'll be happy to send more details if needed.
Zachright before your repaint, putSystem.out.println("Is EDT? "+SwingUtilities.isEventDispatcherThread());if its printing false, then you need to do SwingUtilities.invokeLater( ... );
and put GUI updating code in the invoke later. -
Difference in event handling between Java and Java API
could anyone list the differences between Java and java-API in event handling??
thanks,
cheers,
Hiruthe event handling mechanisms in java language
features and API (java Application Programming
Features)features .no library can work without a
language and no language has event handling built in.
I am trying to compare and contrast the event
handling mechanisms in the language and library
combinations such as java/ java API.
all contributions are welcome!
thanks
cheersSorry, I'm still not getting it. I know what Java is, and I know what I think of when I hear API. (Application Programming Interface.) The API is the aggregation of all the classes and methods you can call in Java. If we agree on that, then the event handling mechanisms in Java and its API are one and the same.
So what do you want to know?

OIM 11g Pre Process event handler
Hi All,
I had built a pre process event handler to generate userid and it was working fine. But i had slight modifications in the code. When i unregistered the old event handler and registered a new one, oim was still picking the old event handler. So in order to bring the code changes into effect, i restarted the managed server after which the event handlers are not getting triggered(even the old one).
I deleted all the records corresponding to the custom event handlers from MDS_PATHS,PLUGINS,LATEST_PLUGIN AND PLUGIN_ZIP tables and registered the handler again and also imported the event handler xml file. But still the plugin is not triggered.
Please help.
Thanks,
Bhavana
Edited by: 858491 on Jul 21, 2011 5:14 AMMy lib file contains the package as mentioned in the metalink.
Heirarchy in Plugin folder :
1) plugin.xml
2) Lib ( lib contains 3 folders : com/example/custompph; And inside custompph is my CustomPreProcessEventHandler.class file)
You mean to say i should not copy the entire package in lib but only the jar file of the CustomPreProceessEventHandler.class* file.
If i put only a .jar file in lib i get the following error.
"Error occured during the use of plugin registering utility. The plugin zip does not contain the definition of plugin class com.example.custompph.CustomPreProcessEventHandler"
Thanks
