Httpd.config WLIOTimeoutSecs unlimited?

Hi guys,
What would be the correct syntax for setting WLIOTimeoutSecs to unlimited? I tried below but an error is thrown on Minimum when restarting server stating 'Invalid command 'Minimum', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration'
<Location ~ /(cookie|cookieauthservice).*>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WebLogicHost 55.55.555.555
WebLogicPort 5555
Minimum value: 10
Maximum value: Unlimited
WLCookieName cookie
</Location>
Thanks!

We do not have any parameters such as "Minimum value" OR "Maximum value" for the plug-in.
May be you were mislead by the documentation.
Here is how, you can set "WLIOTimeoutSecs" in your webserver:
<Location ~ /(cookie|cookieauthservice).*>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WebLogicHost 55.55.555.555
WebLogicPort 5555
WLIOTimeoutSecs 3000
WLCookieName cookie
</Location>
If you have to set it to an "unlimited" value, you have to set it to a relatively higher number. That is the only way. For example,
<Location ~ /(cookie|cookieauthservice).*>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WebLogicHost 55.55.555.555
WebLogicPort 5555
WLIOTimeoutSecs 60000000
WLCookieName cookie
</Location>
Since, WLIOTimeoutSecs is in secs, the above value "60000000" literally means one million minutes which should be good enough I guess for any application request.

  • Httpd.config question

I've a cluster http and oc4j in server A and server B. If I am going to add this line below to my httpd.conf in server A, Where would my file save to? or does it even work?
    Alias /MyDoc/ "C:\MyDoc\AttachFile/"

OK, the file will be saved in the server that take the request, for that you can create a shared file system to save this files, so you can ensure that both will be placing this files in the same folder.

  • N-Help Config Lamp http.d config issue.

I have a slight problem I installed a iptables managment program to play around with firewall rules and it needed Webadmin to use the browser on localserver to use the GUI. Anyway this needs Lamp. Apachy went smooth, SSL went ok seems tested and works. Problem I am having is configing PHP in httpd.config. I need to insert this from the Lamp section in the wiki.
To enable PHP, add these lines to /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Place this in the LoadModule list anywhere after LoadModule dir_module modules/mod_dir.so:
    LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
Place this at the end of the Include list:
    Include conf/extra/php5_module.conf
Anyways got the first parts done but the last part is to insert an include at the end of the Include section. There is no incude section in httpd.config, I want to figure this out as I am learning networking and stuff so want to know the proper way of doing this then butchering it with trial and error.
Noticed the wiki says to insert an include and my httpd.config seems to be set up with <ifmodule> sections. This is a warning flag for me.

I'm trying to use the apache plug-in to redirect traffic to my non-clusterd weblogic server but I can not get it to work. I'm trying to route everything to Weblogic. It loads the weblogic plugin but I never get re-routed. Any help is appreciated.

  • Problem in accessing the media files from another server

Currently I am working in a project with streaming video on demand and using FMS 4.5.
Let’s say the FMS is installed on one machine say ‘121.123.35.34’ and there is another server ‘100.54.88.222’ where all the media files belong. Now we need to point to this third server to play videos from FMS.I have done the below changes:
    In the fms.ini file: set the VOD_DIR2 = \\100.54.88.222\myvideos
In the application.xml: Added the stream: <Streams>/hr;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams>
From my application accessing the path of flv as:source= “rtmp:// 121.123.35.34:1935/vod/hr/test” . Not able to access the video.
Note: If I will point to say ‘C:hrvideos’ in VOD_DIR2, then I am able to access the videos using the same URL.
I also tried mapping the shared path to the FMS machine and then given the mapped drive path in the VOD_DIR2, but this also doesn’t work.
    Please let me know:
If we need to configure any other parameter to stream videos from another server.
VOD_COMMON_DIR: I modified this similar TO VOD_DIR to location 'C:hrvideos', I am able to stream the videos using rtmp, but not abl eto stream with http.
Please let me know  can we stream using http also as we need this to run f4m manifest file.
              http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample.mp4.
              http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample.f4m
    Thanks,
    Anjali

    Hi Shiven,
I followed the steps suggested by you:
    1) Changed the stream:
    <Streams>/hr;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams> to<Streams>/;${VOD_DIR2}</Streams>
But not able to access the video with rtmp:// 121.123.35.34:1935/vod/test
    2) For http streaming, changes the HttpStreamingContentPath in hds-vod in the httpd config file, and tried to stream the video like:
    http:// 121.123.35.34:8134/vod/test.mp4 or
    http:// 121.123.35.34:8134/hds-vod/test.mp4
But not able to load the video.
    Please suggest?
    Thanks & Regards,

  • HTML DB on Windows XP Pro

    Hi there,
I have a problem using HTML DB on a small network. LAN consists of two computers with Windows XP Professional. Server has two NIC. One connected to the local internet provider (PPPoE) with TCP/IP set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and second network adapter (for the LAN) with TCP/IP address 192.168.0.2. Second computer has NIC with IP 192.168.0.3. The server is set with HTML DB 2.0. There is NO ANY problem if I work on it as stand alone computer - second network adapter disable!
The problem arises if I connect the second computer and then start HTML DB.
I have found, after several days of troubleshooting, that the problem might be in httpd.config file. If somebody has experience in similar networks or Oracle HTTP Server settings please, give me advice or send httpd.conf file as an example.
Listener works, network is OK ...
Is it possible Oracle Standard 10g, Oracle HTTP Server, and HTML DB 2.0 to work on Windows XP Pro network? Yes or NO.
    Konstantin

    NEVER MIND!
I finally set the products.xml to be from the companion and the ORACLE_HOME to be that of the DB to install in, and everything went smoothly.

  • Wiki won't work because of proxy error. Help?

    Howdy All,
After a long struggle I managed to get the Wikis working.
Firstly, I didn't know the users and groups had to be in Open Directory - that could be made more clear and, by the way, why is that so? Secondly, it seems my OSXS upgrade didn't go that well, so I didn't get a themed group or wiki. After searching and copying some files it sprang to life in all it's AJAX and design greatness (well done Apple!).
Then I did a silly thing. It was slow so I tried to experiment with turning the Performance Cache on and off (I thought it should be off, but you never know, perhaps it would help). The problem was, I believe, that I turned it on and off too fast for Server Admin. Now I can't load the groups page or the wiki at all. I just get the following Proxy Error:
    Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /groups/.
Reason: Could not connect to remote machine: Connection refused
    Apache/1.3.39 Server at osr.hatken.com Port 16080
I have a general understanding of how the performance cache works (I believe it is set up as a filter at the local host 127.0.0.1 and hence, "could not connect to remote machine" is stretching it a bit). Anyway, I have searched high and low to try and find the problem, but I can't. I thought it must be one of the httpd config files got corrupted but I can't see any problem in them.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix it?
One other thing. When I was having problems getting groups and wiki to work I gave up temporarily and downloaded MediaWiki. Unfortunately, I found out it requires PHP5 which I believe requires Apache2. Late at night (early morning) I decided to upgrade OSXS to Apache2 (by clicking on the button in Server Admin). (Un)fortunately it seemed to fail.
So perhaps there some inbetween Apache 1.3 and 2.x in the mix. That said, Server Admin reports the machine to still be running Apache 1.3 (as does top) and all other Web sites seem to load fine.
I've also noticed the Python process cycling to a very high percentage CPU usage continually, up and down, up and down. I believe that has something to do with the groups / wiki.
I've tried turning off the wiki (in the Sites tab) and turning it on again (hoping that would reset things, but no luck). I've searched high and low through the discussion lists and on the Web but can't seem to find anything to fix this problem (the proxy error). I still think there is a configuration somewhere that is half done wrt the performance cache.
Any help or suggestions to get the groups / wikis back would be most appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Ashley.
PS This is MacOSX Server 10.5.2. This is also a virtual host (I have a few). The virtual host web site still loads fine.

    Hi JLeeAnne1993,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand you are receiving an alert after attempting a restore. You have done several great troubleshooting steps already I see. The other steps I would recommend would be isolating the usb port, reregistering “.dll” files, updating or reinstalling the Windows USB drivers, and possible disabling your security software temporarily. • How do you configure the default Webserver  and AppEX in XE(windows)?

I'm new to XE but an old hat with Oracle Standard and Enterprise editions, Apache and AppEx (htmldb).
What is the default webserver that comes with XE(windows) and how do you configure it? Where are the httpd config files?
Also I read in the doco that you need to use Apache if you want to use https. Is there any doco on how to configure XE with Apache?
    Also with respect to AppEx
where are the physcial files e.g. I can't find the following file or directories. Where is virtual directory /i/ mapped to? Where is this configured?

  • Problem while configuring the Apache Web Server as the Intermediary Server

    Hello,
I want to use Apache 2.0 web-server as a proxy for my SAP EP so that I could access http://portal_server:50000/irj through this Apache external web-server.
I checked this sap help link as a reference.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/18/5cea2296190e4cb7faf9468ad793ea/frameset.htm
But still not clear what exact configuration I need to do in the httpd.conf file. I searched the posted forums on this topic but couldnt get exact steps.
It would be grateful if anyone can guide me on this configuration (redirecting url etc).
    Thanks in advance.

    STEPS OF SECURE APACHE-SSL
1.Install apache version like apache_x_y_z_win32.exe also select the right combination of mod_ssl and Openssl.
(Like for apache1.3.33 you need mod_ssl_2.8.22 and Openssl_0.9.7f or Openssl_0.9.7g.
                       Or
Select a mix of all three like [Apache_1.3.33-Mod_SSL_2.8.22-Openssl_0.9.7f-Win32.zip]
(for this  install apache service also).
    2.    Select   httpd.conf file from (apache\conf) open it for configuration.
    3.   Stop the services of apache from Control panel \ administrative tools \ services.
Note:--  may be it is possible all files for configuration will not be there in apache2.exe  then extract the
Apache_2.0.54-Mod_SSL_2.8.22-Openssl_0.9.7f-Win32.zip  file and copy conf, lib, modules logs
files in corresponding folder of Apache2.exe.
                                                 HTTPD.CONF   Configuration
    1.     Replace all occurrences of www.my-server.dom with the real domain name!
(If you have installed apache from .exe file then its doesn’t required but for . Zip archive file you have to replace it)
    2.     Comment port 80 like  # port 80
    3.     Write Listen 80 and Listen 443 in httpd.conf file.
    4.     Extract Openssl in any folder and copy files ssleay32.dll and libeay32.dll into WINNT\SYSTEM32 paste them here.
    5.     Download Openssl.cnf file because you need to configure openssl.exe. a link apear select saveas and save it to bin folder of apache2 directory
    6.     Copy all the *.exe, *.so, *.dll inside your apache\bin directory from extracted Openssl directory.
    7.     Write
                  LoadModule ssl_module modules/ApacheModuleSSL.dll
                      or
                  LoadModule ssl_module modules/ApacheModuleSSL.so
                      or
                  LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so
after the LoadModule lines that are already in the httpd.config file
          8.    Write AddModule mod_ssl.c this for apache1 for apache2 it is noy required.
after the AddModule lines that are already in the httpd.config file.
         9.  Add the following to the end of httpd.conf:
                        SSLMutex sem
                        SSLRandomSeed startup builtin
                        SSLSessionCache none
                        SSLLog logs/SSL.log
                        SSLLogLevel info
                        SSLEngine On
                        SSLCertificateFile conf/ssl/my-server.cert
                        SSLCertificateKeyFile conf/ssl/my-server.key
                        ProxyRequests Off
    <Proxy *>
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
    </Proxy>
ProxyPass / http://ServerName:50000/     // your server name and port number
ProxyPassReverse / http://ServerName:50000/   // your server name and port number
    ProxyPreserveHost On
    save the Httpd.conf file
                                                     GENERATING CERTIFICATE
    a.     Open Command Prompt
    b.     Reach till bin directory by writing like   cd apache\bin
    c.     Write command     bin> openssl req -config openssl.cnf -new -out my-server.csr and put required detail.
    d.      Write openssl rsa -in privkey.pem -out my-server.key.
    e.     Write openssl x509 -in my-server.csr -out my-server.cert -req -signkey my-server.key -days 365.
    f.     Write openssl x509 -in my-server.cert -out my-server.der.crt -outform DER.
    g.     Create an Apache/conf/ssl directory and move my-server.key and my-server.cert into it.
    10.     Start Apache services from control panel \ Administrative tools \ services.
    11.     Now you have made Apache as SSL enabled open browser and test it by https://localhost

  • Oracle HTTP Server and mod_plsql

    Hi there,
I have a problem using HTML DB on a small network. LAN consists of two computers with Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1.
The problem arises if I connect the second computer and then start HTML DB by http://localhost:7777/…"503 the service is temporary unavailable", emagent is down, DBconsole service is not active anymore, etc. Apache or Oracle HTTP Server is up.
I have found, after several days of troubleshooting, that the problem might be in httpd.config file. If somebody have experience in similar networks or Oracle HTTP Server settings please, give me advice or send httpd.conf file as an example.
    Please help me!
    Konstantin

    Hi,
If I disable the network adapters and restart the computer, then connect to the HTML DB or my application, everything is OK. Then enable connection and I can work from both computers!

The dad.conf is empty because I am using marvel.conf. I just checked the rules to build such file. Listener uses as host name - computer name (in my case koncomp), but in all config files Oracle HTTP Server uses name localhost or 127.0.0.1. That is the reason for SYSMAN to make too separate folders in Oracle home named LOCALHOST_instancename and hostname_instanceename.

  • Configure Apache Web Server in WLP 8.1

    Hi,
pls let me know, how to configure Apache Web Server with WLP 8.1
    Thanks,
    Natesh.

U need to have mod_wl_20.so and some changes in httpd.config.
    Here are the changes
    1) change the servername to webserver host
    2) Change the serveradmin to webserver host
    3) include mod_wl_20.so into load config modules.
    and some more.
There should be good in internet regarding this.

  • Wlp and apache load balancing

    Hi,
I have been trying to understand webloigc clustering and load balancing capabilities. I have been through the edocs but it does not explain how things work, instead they only emphasis on how to configure.
              Consider the following scenario:
              --------cisco firewall/load balancer------------
              apatche1 apache2 apache3
              -------------------firewall-------------------------
              WLP1 WLP2 WLP3 WLP4
              My questions are:
              (1) how apache servers load balance incoming requests amongst the four portal instances? I understand that it will use weblogic proxy plug-in. the httpd.config also should be configured to proxy requests to WLP instances by adding the corresponding address:prot entries for each instance, using WebLogicCluster keyword.
              (2) Weblogic cluster will have nothing to do with load balancing? The only benefit I get of configuring weblogic cluster is session replication, right?
              (3) even failover is going to be handled by apache servers?
              (4) if I need to use SSL and I need to have my SSL encryption/decryption to be done on WLP instances; apache servers will only forward requests, no encryption/decryption to be done on the web tier. Is this possible?
See in WebSphere the edge component will handle the load balancing and through it I can assign load weights for each appserver instance.
              (5) Are there any best practice to implement load balancing and failover on weblogic portal?
I appreciate any input in this regards.

    1. yes, configure the apache plugin. put your 4 servers in the WeblogicCluster property (host:port,host:port...). The proxy will round robin requests between the servers in the cluster, although sessions are pinned to a single server. So if a request with a session (jsessionid cookie) comes in, it will read the primary server from the cookie and route it to that server.
note that we have had trouble with keep alives ON and load balancing. we had to turn keep alives off to get load balancing working.
    2. right, the cluster allows failover by replication. apache plugin will perform the failover.
    3. the plugin will keep a dynamic server list so if a server goes down, it will update the cluster list and not route to it. it will also retry requests on another server on an error or timeout connecting. you can tweak timeout settings like WLSocketTimeoutSecs and ConnectTimeoutSecs. and keep idempotent ON which allows failover, unless you aplpication can't handle this.

  • Hosting your IWeb site

    Hi,
I want to change my local IWeb site and upload it to a server host....(For example: "http://www.machighway.com") Will I be able to upload files just as they are locally and drop them unto the server? Otherwise, who offers the most affordable monthly plans for hosting an IWeb Site

What's affordable depends on how much you want to spend and where you live.
Here's one for starters. Its free and if you like it you can pay for it and get a free domainname :
    www.000webhost.com
I use several of these webhosts, besides MobileMe.
Or do your own webhosting. Either on your own computer or on an external one.
Since I was in need of backup anyway I bought a Synology DS211 NAS with two 3TB Seagate harddisks.
    bit.ly/pDg4Ka
    bit.ly/oFa9j5
It has all the bells and whistles to run your own show. I just need to learn how to bell and whistle, lots of UNIX inside.
Today I got the mailserver up and running with my own domainname, so now you can reach me too.
The coming months I start migrating my website from MMe. But first I must get aquainted with some httpd.config directives I want to use on my current computer before I configure the NAS.
    So lots of fun ahead.
    Here are the pictures, BTW

  • Apache Reverse Proxy

    Hi
I have installed Apache Reverse Proxy to access my Portal and ECC6.
In the httpd config file , i have done the following settings.
    <VirtualHost ipaddress:port>
    ProxyPreserveHost On
    ProxyPass /irj/ http://portalserver:50000/irj/
    ProxyPassReverse /irj/ http://portalserver:50000/irj/
    ProxyPass /eccdev/ http://eccserver:8000/eccdev/
    ProxyPassReverse /eccdev/ http://eccserver:8000/eccdev/
    </VirtualHost>
eccdev is external alias for the path
    /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/
With this setting when i  when a request is made for eccdev/
it takes me to the ecc6 login page.
when i enter the required information , it just clears the username password fields.
i checked that the username password are correctly entered.
    what is the problem ?
    Regards
    Rajendra

    Hi Darren ,
    Thanks for the reply.
Our SSO between Portal and  ECC6 works fine without Reverse Proxy.
If we access the Portal Through Reverse Proxy , when we navigate to any iViews say BSP iView , it asks for Username password. Once provided it works fine.
Second Scenario is Using Reverse Proxy to Directly access
SAP GUI . i.e without using Portal.
If i do not use Reverse Proxy , i can access my ECC6 webgui
through browser after providing the Login Details, but if i use Reverse Proxy then Even after providing the Login Details ,
the LogOn Box does not go and keeps asking for login details.
To summarize , i just want to acess the SAP GUI from Browser
using Reverse Proxy . I am able to do it without reverse Proxy .
    Can you help ?
