I accidently typed in my password as my username on my gmail account. now when I go to login, my password is an option listed on the username drop down list. How can I remove it from this list?
I've already tried going to tools-options-privacy-delete cookies. It did not work.

You also can [[Remembering passwords#Viewing and deleting passwords|view or delete the saved passwords]].

I use to administrate my DSL modem via an ip-address. When I enter it into FF8 I am asked where to save the file. Why and how can I prevent FF8 from doing that?
And now anytime I am entering an ip-address I am asked if I want to download the file.It happens when the modem server doesn't send the file as text/html, but with another MIME type.<br />
I tried the index.html addition in case the server might send that file as text/html.<br />
If your DSL modem has a support website then you can try to ask there for advice about how to configure the modem server. -

For giving unique access for a specific file in a library, you can go to the library, and select the file , and click FILES->Shared With->ADVANCED, under PERMISSION ribbon, click ‘Stop Inheriting Permissions’, then the file will have unique permissions.
For removing the shared users for a file, firstly, like the above steps, select the file , and click FILES->Shared With->ADVANCED , make sure the file has unique access, then select the users that you want to remove, and click Remove User Persmissions
under PERMISSIONS ribbon.

How can I remove something from my iTunes download list permanently?
Same as title: how can I remove something from my download list FOREVA! Why would I want to do this? Because it's a piece of poo free sampler from Best Buy that is effing huge, and terrible and I don't want it, ever (it's been stuck to my list since 08, and it must die). Every time I buy something I have to remember to go and remove that from my list, otherwise iTunes gets caught up downloading that thing, which is many times larger than any video/cd/app that I have ever downloaded on iTunes before. It wouldn't be as much an issue if I had a good ISP but I don't, so any non-apple employee people giving some smarmy "get better internets" advice need not apply.
Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you.

Actually, Reader SHOULD keep showing documents that no longer exist, I disagree. It's no big deal, and people will quickly realise why they can't open the file. They open more files, the old ones move off.
The REASON why it should not check is that checking whether a file exists can take a long time when things aren't good. For instance if a file server goes down, or a memory card is unplugged. That in turn would mean delays opening the File menu, and I've seen some software that can sit there for several minutes. That would really give people something of which to complain... -

The issues described below (if you have the patience to understand it) may uncover some JSF issues when combining different functionalities in JSF to come up with a solution.
I have a requirement to display (let's just say error) messages in a message board. I do this in 2 steps: field-level validations are done first, and if all corrected (by the user), I do multi-field-level as well as business logic validation after model update (the way JSF seems to be designed to handle different types of validations). Let's say I have a combination of 3 combo-boxes that are dependent on one another. Selection from (1) requires dynamically filtering and setting a list for two and that in turn requires dynamically filtering and setting a list for 3, so the first two have valueChangeListener (try doing this in JSF!!!, I had to hack my way through to set this up with JSF, but that is not the issue). I have business rules associated with items within combo (1) and other entry fields entered by users (i.e. for simplicity let's just say, if material 'chain' is selected from combo 1, I should set combo (2) and (3), and validate that user entered at least four in # used entry field). Let's say I have a table with many rows of above combination of combo-boxes specified. Again for simplicity, assume we only have business rule violations (not field-level that would not go through model update):
* User selects many combination of entried before submit (with no field-level error)
* Business rules are checked and messages added to FacesContext and displayed in a message board
* Next, all these messages disappear from the view when selecting any item from any combo-box (with valueChangeListeners attached to them) - 2 reasons: 1. a new FacesContext is created per valueChangeEvent 2. Business model update does not happen (so we don't generate these messages again and add them to FacesContext, it is not efficient to do so anyways)
* we would like to display all those business logic validation messages so the user could correct them all (and not lose them by any combo-box selection)
* As a workaround, I add these messages to session (which is another issue, since FacesMessages are not serializable) at the end of business logic validation, and retrieve and display them by (a.) forcing combo-boxes go through (field-level) validation, (b.) adding a new hidden field at the end of all fields in JSP page with a custom-validator that all it does is to get messages saved to session (from the last business logic validation) and add them to the FacesContext - this ensures that messages are not lost due to combo-box selections
* The problem is that when user submits (to validate the business rules again), since the old Business validations messages are added to FacesContext at the end of field-level validation, I need to clear them, before adding the newly generated messages
* But....I can't remove messages from FacesContext
So here's a reason for this 'needed' functionality, based on whatever is available (as of JSF 1.1.01). Is there a better way to this, I'll be delighted to hear it (as I have tried different solutions myself with above combination of issuses), and have wasted some time trying to work-around the issues I've faced using JSF (in every one of those ways I've tried) ....part of which is described here...

how can i remove pictures from my droid turbo without having to use the touch screen on the phone at all? my screen is cracked and i am waiting on a replacement phone. as far as i can tell in order to access the phone storage through my computer, i have to use the touchscreen to enable it so that the computer will see it as a camera. I can't do that as the top half of the touschscreen is unresponsive. any suggestions? teaches me to use the backup services offered in the future, but i still need a short term solution for this time.
I'm sorry to hear your screen is cracked spence425. I know its difficult to use the phone while its damaged. I'm happy you are receiving a replacement device. Have you saved any of your pictures and other data to the cloud? Here is a link about the cloud http://vz.to/1mF0GIx . Unfortunately, you will be unable to remove any data from the phone if the screen is unresponsive but if you are looking to transfer data to your new phone, it would have needed to be saved via the cloud first. thank you.There is no way to do it. Others have asked for the very same thing that you are asking for, but currently it just cannot be done. You can't remover purchases from your Purchase History - you can hide them - but you can't delete them from the history.
You can delete the Apps from the iPad and you can delete them from iTunes on the computer. Delete them from iPad, delete them fromiTunes so that when you sync there is no chance that they will come back. Then hide the purchases. That's the best that you can do.
On the iPad, tap and hold down on the app icons until the X pops up. Tap the X to delete the apps.
In iTunes, clcik on Apps under the Library heading on the left. Right click on the apps that you want to delete and follow the prompts. -
