Thanks so much! It will be kinda weird to contact the person directly, but I guess I will give it a try. Is there anything that I can refer her to in this discussion to let her know I am legit, and not a creeper? Also, I don't know if you can answer this or not. When I plug my phone into itunes, and it says that it is backing up, does that mean that it is going into the other person's cloud, since I cannot access it?

I regret to learn of any issues after the software update. Let's check some things out on your phone! Does the text message say who it came from? Is it a contact you message on a regular basis? Are you using the messaging application that came with the device, or a 3rd party application?
I recommend deleting any unneeded messaging threads and then powering the device off/on. Keep me posted!

hi, when i am sync my books from my mac to ipad even after 24 hours sync, itunes show "wait for items to copy" and the books in ipad are still not fully loaded.

I'm trying to activate my iphone that i got used. i restored it to factory settings. I'm now trying to activate the phone and it says it was originallyh activated with someone else appleid. They aren't around nor do i have anyway of getting a hold of them. How do i activate the phone with my appleid?
If you cannot contact the previous owner, then the iPhone is unusuable. There is no way past the activation lock without the Apple ID and password used to set up the lock, or the previous owner removing the device from his/her iCloud account.
If you purchased the iPhone though a service such as eBay that offers buyer protection, contact that service and file a complaint and get your money back. If you purchased the iPhone privately, then you've wasted your money.

Connect your iPod to any computer with iTunes installed, highlight your device and try syncing the apps only. If it doesn't work might have to restore through iTunes. With the new iTunes and iCloud beta, you can have the iTunes list what apps are missing on your device but if you had previously purchased in the past and then have iTunes install them. You should always get in the habit of backing up your iPhone whenever you do any firmware/OS updating/upgrading or transferring over to new device. I really really really really hope you can get back at least some of your old info. I will tell you this, I have been kicking myself in the butt for not routinely backing up my iPhone when my beautiful special iPhone 4 came up missing and had to revert back to my 3GS. iPhone 5 will be released in a few months so I am holding off on purchasing a new iPhone til then, not that I did so without reservation and a little bit of iPhone 4 withdraw.

Suddenly on both my iPhone and iPad I cannot access my AOL mail. It tells me my user name or password are incorrect. Yet I have no trouble accessing from other devices. This occurred randomly in the middle of the night. I'd done nothing different or unusual. I've tried re-starting both devices, tried deleting and re-installing my account information. Hmm... looks like this is an issue for that email provider for some reason.
A user in a bt.com forums recommends turning off Push Emails settings.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Turn Push Off.

I was surfing around on eBay, when suddenly my screen morphed from the size it's always been at to SUPER HUGE. And I did NOT change any settings. I tried a system restore, and the pages on eBay are still Mr. Magoo sized.
I have no idea how or why this happened, and I just want to get back the sizing settings I had before.

Hi wondering if anyone can help me, i have an itouch 4 gen and the front cover has started to come away, it hasn't been dropped or anything just started to come away ( although i did notice that it was heating up drastically ) looks to me like the glue has dyed up and as usual the guarantee had not long ran out.
