I bought the hdmi adapter for my new ipad (ipad3), it was working fine for about a month. Then suddenly one fine day, a message pop out on my new ipad saying that ipad does not support the device. What is going on?
The hdmi adapter no longer works, and I tried it on different tv, different hdmi cables, apple's adapter still don't work. My iOS is 5.1 by the way. HDMI cables work fine for other devices, connect it to my computer, works fine, connect it to dvd player works fine. So what is going APPLE? I splashed out SGD59 for this handy adapter, and it no longer works after a month!!!

I too hope I haven't tried "everything" either but I am reasonably technical. I had done what you suggested to do before but I did both again.
Ethernet is yellow in the left side bar. In the right pane it's status says Connected but then below it says "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet."
I have tried the assist me menu and Network Status has Ethernet Green, Network settings Yellow, ISP Green, and Internet and Server Red and Failed for both. I have turned things off and on, checked cables, deleted all locations and tried restting them up but to no avail. I even disconnected everything and connected the mac directly into the cable modem itself and the thing still will not connect.

Unfortunately it was clicking on Updates that brought the “dangerous website” pop-up, but several hours later I tried again for the umpteenth time, and it worked! I am so glad because I am working on a project with a deadline.
Thanks for replying. Maybe if someone else has this problem they could be told to wait a few hours and try again.
The main option on the ‘dangerous’ pop-up is a “Get me out of here!” button, which I always clicked. There are options to go to the website anyway, but I am too leery of the web to do that. Now that I know it’s possible to reach the update center without risk I will never consider it.

The statement from that web site is completely incorrect. What they probably meant was that their software doesn't support Mac. IMHO this is a sign of either ignorance or lack of concern on the part of the site creators. Back in the dark ages a lot of PC apps didn't support Mac but not these days.
Get into your Mac Help window and search MIDI. There's plenty of info there on how your Mac supports MIDI. -
I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, and when I click for a free download it says that "it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place". Any suggestions on how to overcome this?
Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app). -

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, back up all data, then follow these instructions.
If the instructions don't work, proceed as follows.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). From the Finder menu bar, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder…

I've seen a report that Conduit may be bundled with a scam "utility" called "MacKeeper." If you installed MacKeeper, you should remove it according to the developer's instructions. It's worthless and causes many problems reported on this site. -
Am I correct that Quantum does not support the eSATA external drives?
I bought an eSATA external drive when they first became available and I get a huge amount of storage space (something like 120 hours of HD).
Can you mix and match your old DVR with the new Quantum DVR? In other words, could I keep my old one up in the bedroom or is quantum all or nothing?
The 6 channels at once thing is appealing - particularly during football season ... but going backwards on recording capacity is a dealkiller, regrettably.

The VMS boxes are in a sense using older firmware such as the guide being the older version then what the multi room boxes use right now which is why the ports arent enabled yet. I'm sure once they release a new firmware upgrade they will be enabled. -

iPhones don't have to "support" a charger. You likely have fluff / debris in the docking port of the phone. Try cleaning it out *very carefully* with something like a dry toothbrush.

Ummm...Safari 5 doesn't run on the iPad. It runs on Mac OS and Windows.

Hi, since I installed the latest update on my Mac I have been unable to open the contents of some emails because it is saying that pages does not recognise the font. For example it is saying 'some features aren't supported, the font Calibri isn't available on OS X. It was replaced with TrebuchetMS' This means that I cannot open letters from my daughters school. Is there any way round this other than getting rid of this nightmare MAC and going back to Windows!?

i have an ipod touch and just updated my software to ios 7.1.2. Now I get the message that my adapter, accessory does not support my device. Is there a new adapter that I need to buy that works with the ios 7.1.2?
This is not my problem. However, I think it may be related to an old speaker. I was using the 30 pin adapter for about a week after the upgrade to 7.1.2. But I think with the update the speaker won't work anymore. I will try with a new speaker system. Thank you for trying to assist.
