I can only update to OS 10.7.5 and I need to use Photo Stream or a version of iPhoto but not the latest version. How do I get version newer than iPhoto 08?
Using a Mac Pro desktop which will only update to OS 10.7.5. Have iPhoto 08 but would like to update to iPhoto 11 cannot use the latest version of iPhoto on this computer. Where and how do I get iPhoto 11?

i synced my phone to another computer to get the update and when i went to restore it, all my music was earased, but everything else was normal. how do i get my music back?
I enabled the backup, but when i went to use the backup, the phone recovered everything except the music.Of course your music was lost - unless you uncheck sync music, you're syncing with another music library. You'll have to sync your phone with the other/original computer to the music back.

clicking the iPhoto icon with the Option and Command keys opened iPhoto but not the First Aid as promisedGive this a try:
1 -be sure to have a current backup of the iPhoto library.
2 - download and launch http://www.macchampion.com/arbysoft/BatChmod.
3 - click on the File button, locate and select your iPhoto Library.
4 - check the Unlock and Apply to enclosed checkboxes.
5 - make no changes to the other checkboxes
6 - click on the Apply button.

Can someone please help - I want to sync my icloud calendar with my iphone calendar. All of my entries from previous months are on my icloud calendar but not my iphone. How do I get them back on there? I have corrected my settings for future entries (I think/hope) but want to put the old stuff back on.

Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars. Scroll down to Calendars and set "Sync" as desired. -
My Iphone 4S got broken and need to use old Iphone 3G.
I want to update IOS 4.2.1 on Iphone 3G to IOS 5 by using Itune. Itune said that IOS 4.2.1 is the latest. How can I update IOS 5 or later on Iphone3g?The iPhone 3G can not run anything higher than 4.2.1. It's obsolete.

I prevsiouly owned an Ipad. Before selling it, I backup it on my Macbook. When the new Mavericks has been released, i upgraded my Mac. Now that I have iBooks on my Mac, I want to restore my iBook collection from my previous Ipad to my Mac. On my Mac, I can only see the iBooks collection of my previous iPad but not the books that I have purchased. I probably had more than a hundred books on my collection (in epub and pdf formats). I have already tried transferring purchases in iTunes and adding to my Library but to no avail.
Can anyone give me a solution to this.Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I bought a new ipod classic. When attempting to synch it made me update itunes to the latest version (there may be a more current one now.) I did this and when I synched to ipod everything showed up except the playlists. How do I get the playlist to synch to ipod as well? Thanks!
Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

Hi, I am new to using iTunes. Just downloaded 50 shades of Grey only to find it is the BOOK and not the music. Incidentally, I find that entering this community is somewhat akin to trying to get into Fort Knox!! Too much officiousness.

I did that but nothing has changed. I only have a few contacts. Messages just showing numbers. If I start a message with a name it pulls it from somewhere but then changes to the their number

Can't get airport express to print. Music transfers wirelessly but not the print. How do I fix this

Don't know, how did you hook it up (what kind of cable)? You can send audio through an HDMI connection provided a MacBook Pro is (I believe) from 2009 or newer.
Converting to VGA or DVI will not send audio - if you're using that kind of connection, you'll need to add an audio cable from the headphones port.
Also check the Sound Out setting in the Sounds panel of System Preferences.

I bought an ipod classic and got it 2day. I have over 18000 songs on my itunes and all the songs have all the correct info. I tried syncing my ipod today and all of the songs have gone onto my ipod.
However my problem is that quite a few songs are not in the artist menu and only in the songs menu on the ipod, even though evry bit of information for the song is correct.
I would like all my songs under the artist menu on my ipod as searching through the song menu is ridiculously time consuming.
Can anyone fix my problem?For the missing Artists on your iPod, make sure their tracks in iTunes are not marked as "Part of a compilation" in iTunes. You can do this by highlighting the track, right->clicking on them and choosing "Get Info" from the shortcut menu. When the window pops up, head over to the Info tab and make sure there is NO tick mark next to this option in the lower right hand corner. Lastly, sync the updated changes to your iPod.

I recently imported pictures from my camera to iphoto. I also synced my ipad. In less than 24 hours my photos are now missing from iphoto even after trying to sync my ipad again. These pictures are from a very special occasion and I did not even get time to edit. Someone help please

My issue, which I resolved and may help you was the following:
I have an IPAD 3. I took over 5 GB of pictures on a third party camera. The car was full so I imported those pictures to my IPAD 3 and deleted them from the SD card. While on IOS 5.x, the photos on the IPAD were there under last imported.
Over the last few days, I upgraded to IOS 6. No issues.
Then, my family wanted to see the pictures from the trip. I went to the IPAD and could not find the photos. It listed 40 photos only. The last imported was there, but listed as empty. When I went into the settings>usage, it listed 5GB + of photos in the photos area. I was confused. I plugged my IPAD into ITUNES, first thinking I would get a backup asap (icloud was full after importing the photos). Then I though I would downgrade to IOS 5.
Also, itunes listed that I had 40 photos only, but 5GB of OTHER data. I was convinced the data was not lost. When I tried to browse the IPAD 3 using windows browser, the photos where NOT in the DCIM folder, so I was not able to simply "FIND" the photos and copy them to my PC.
-SOLUTION-
I downloaded third party software onto my PC called "http://www.i-funbox.com/" I fun box. I had no idea if this would work, but other forums with other issues called out similar products for iphone issues.
When I installed the program, which was free, and so far free of malware, I started to explore my IPAD file system.I found my photos, under IPAD>RAW file system>DCIM>100IMPRT.
-ROOT CAUSE-
I suspect when I upgraded to IOS 6, apple fails to register the IMPORT folder of photos as such, photos. So the file system in IOS looses sight of what is inside the last imported folder. Essentially removing them from applications such as "Photos". Why windows does not seem them, is beyond me. But the program I found did see them in raw format, and I was able to COPY them to my PC. Then I deleted them from the IPAD, because I had no other way of managing this folder in IPAD, and it was using a lot of space.
