For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

  • Can I re-adjust the size of the disk for my virtual environment?

I installed the vmware fusion and run windows xp.. I want to re-adjust my hard disk. So far 320G disk, half for mac and half for windows. can I adjust this size, e.g. expand the size for mac? if yes, how to do that?

One advantage, or disadvantage, depending on how you look at it is that a virtual machine like Fusion does not partition your hard drive. It virtualizes your Windows drive by creating a file to act as your Windows drive. So all your hard drive is still OSx.
In your Virtual window click on Virtual Machine > Settings >Hard Disks then slide the slider to the size you want to make the virtual space (the space used by XP). This action just changes the size of the file holding the virtual machine. It does not do any re-partitioning.

  • Can't adjust print size when printing from the internet on HP F4440 printer.

When printing articles from the Internet the print is too small and I cannot adjust the size. How do I work around this?? I don't want to have to Cut & Paste to Word all the time.
I have already loaded updated Drivers - No Help..
I thought there was an option to adjust the size of the print prior to the document being printed, but I can't access that function now???

  • Can you change the design to adjust with the size of the browser window?

I am creating my first site in iWeb, and would like the image in the background to adjust as someone adjusts the size of their browser window.  In other words, no matter what size their window is, the entire page fits.  I would like it to accomodate small to large computers and windows without them having to scroll up/down or sideways.
Any ideas on how to do that?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Wyodor,
I apologize, but apparently I typed "background" image instead of just an image.  I have an image on the page that I would like to size to do the same thing.  There are layered images on top of it, and I need those images to remain in the same place because they are hyperlinked images that take them to another page. I have attached a photo of what it looks like here.
The agree and disagree buttons are the hyperlinks, and I want them to stay static with the image underneath them.  I know that if I put the larger green image as a background image, to have it dynamic, the agree and disagree buttons would not stay in the correct spot when the browser size is adjusted. Thus, it brings me back to my question (but phrased correctly this time)... is there a way to have the entire site, images and all, be dynamic with the size of the browser? No matter what the size of the browser window, I would like the whole page to show so the hyperlink images stay with the image they are on top of.
    Thanks!

  • Can I enlarge the size of the templates in iWeb

I use the templates in iWeb 1.1.2. Is there a possibility to enlarge the size of the standard templates sothat a template can be full screen if you publish it on the Web?
    Greetings,
    Volkert.

    Hi Photoforce
You can make the pages as wide or long as you like in iWeb, but the size will be fixed. You can then move/adjust the template components to your desired size.
However, there isn't an easy way to resize the page to the size of the user's screen without using some form of post-publish editing and javascript.

  • Is there a way to adjust/customise the size of the Perform Window?

    Hey guys,
Does anyone know of a way to customise the size of the perform window??
i dont want the perform window to fill the whole screen as i need to see another small external window whilst playing. The peform window when in edit mode is too small for what i need, as i cant clearly see values and parameters. Especially peforming on stage.
I've tried adjusting the sizes of the 3 differnet windows in edit mode but its still too small when as big as it can be.
Is there a way to make the peform window fill 3/4's of the screen and have the other quarter desktop/plug ins/external device??
This would save a lot of hassle and time flicking between different screen shots and more time to be creative
    Hope someone can help
    thanks

    Hi
    Preferences:Display
Uncheck the Perform in Full Screen box and you will get a regular OS Window that can be resized.
    Or Use View:Perform in Window

  • Can we reduce the SIZE of the text in TEXT Module?..Smart form

    Hello,
Can we reduce the size of the TEXT module in Smart form.
As the text that I am putting in the Text Module is taking more space and it is displaying in the  next page.
What are the steps that I can take to display the text in the same page.
    Regards,
    Kittu

    Hi,
you can do these by two ways,
1->  By reducing the font size
    2-> reducing the line spacing
both can be adjust in Smart Style what you are using.
If you not using any style for this, default style will take.

  • HT2523 how can i change the size of the picture i have copied and paste

how can i change the size of the picture i have copied and paste

If this question is about TextEdit, I don't think you can do it in TextEdit, after pasting the image.  TextEdit is meant to be a basic text editing program.
You will have to open the image file in an image editing application.  You can use Preview for doing this, or something more fancy.  If it's Preview, just open the image file.  From the menu bar, under Tools, select Adjust Size.  Make the image the desired size.  Then, select (outline) the portion of the image you want in the Preview document window.  Copy it, and paste it into the TextEdit document window.

  • Is there any way that a jframe can be made to be the size of the screen

is there any way that a jframe can be made to be the size of the screen assuming that it adjusts to altering sizes and also resolutions.

  • How can you avoid having to constantly icrease the size of the type?

Is there a permanent way of setting the minimum size type? Now, I have to continually keep clicking on VIEW or FORMAT to increase the size of the type to avoid eyestrain. I'm thinking of something that works with all, or most, websites and with MAIL. Also, I'd like to hear from someone who has tried the suggested fix. Once before, I was given instructions to do what I'm talking about, but it never worked.
iMac DV (Special Edition)   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I don't want to have to keep increasing the size of
the type everytime I go to a new screen or website.
The only way you can make a "universal" change in
text size is to change resolution, as noted in the
earlier reply. You do that in System Preferences
    Displays panel.
You can make a change within individual applications
in the preferences for that application, usually
found at Menu -> [name of app] -> Preferences.
For example, in Safari, go to Preferences ->
Appearance to adjust the default fonts. Firefox has
similar preference options. Many web sites do not
use the default fonts. In those cases, I just use
the simple keyboard shortcut for increasing or
    decreasing the font size.
Command (Apple) + Plus key (on numeric pad) to
    increase
Command (Apple) + Minus key (on numeric pad) to
    decrease
In Finder windows, you can right (control) click on
an empty spot and select show view options from the
contextual menu. There you can set the font size in
that window only, or in all windows.
Okay, I'm going to say "solved," even though there are some things I don't yet, and maybe never will, understand. Using your instructions, I fixed MAIL, SAFARI, and iTunes. FAVORITES, I don't quite understand, but I'll figure it out if it ever becomes important enough. I started to change to a cool-looking font, but the problem with that is that maybe the set you're sending to doesn't have it. Because of this, I settled on Ariel. I think that's on every computer. Thanks for you help.

  • Adjusting the size of the "pop up" sub vi in the main vi

I am trying to reduce the size of the "pop up" sub vi in the main vi. If I push everything upwards, the info downwards is lost. Similarly the side info is lost. How to adjust the size and yet keep all the info. I am using LV6.0. I have attached the file concerned.

There is obviously a misunderstanding here.
You have full control over the front panel and you can make all the controls as small or large as you want. In addition, you can also place them wherever you want. It is up to you as the designer to place them how you want. If you want then all to be a few pixels by a few pixels, LabVIEW will allow that. Obviously, a string control that is 3 pixels wide and 2 high is unusable, but you can do it. In addition if you wanted all the controls to over lap that is fine, but again it will most likely be unusable for your user.
If your question is the mechanics of moving and re-sizing controls, LabVIEW works the same as most products. You need the arrow tool, which you can get from the tools pallette (Windows>> Show Tools Pallette). With that tool you simply click on the control and move it where you want it. To resize it you hover over the borders of the control until you see the little resize squares and then re-size away. This is the same as how you would re-size an object in Word etc.
If you are simply asking for some examples based on the front panel you attached, we on the forums can move them around and give you examples but we don't know what it is you as the designer or your "customers" want. Therefore anything we do is a shear guess and unlikely to be what you really want. By far the best option is for us to help answer for you the how so that you can create the front panel that you want.
So can you re-phrase the question or help us understand what it is you want?

You can probably solve this problem by increasing the Top Margin in the Document Inspector. Have you tried this, and did it cause you any problems?

  • Can I edit image size in the TOC?

Is it possible to edit the size of the image placeholder used for the TOC in CP5?
I'd like to use it for a company logo to free up some design space and keep marketing happy, but I can't make it big enough.
Unfortunately I don't have access to Flash so if there is an alternative way that would be great.
    Thanks
    Sam

    Hi,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the size of the image placeholder in TOC in Captivate 5. The image is scaled down to project size and displayed in the TOC.
You could please log a Feature Request for the same under https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=5.
    Thanks,
