I can't download things off my iPad because it says I don't have enough "free space" on my mac
Hey guys, I'm not sure what's going on with my Mac Air but I can't download things to it anymore (like pics or audio files from my phone and Ipad). When I try it says that I don't have enough "free space." What's the solution? I really don't have alot saved on this computer so it's kinda weirding me out that it's already full.
Click on your system disk in the upper right hand corner, usuallly called "Macintosh HD”.
Type Command-I.
How much space is available?
If it is small (under 20 GB) you should try removing files you do not need.

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

Did you download it completely before you try to play it?
How much space left in your HD?
What about other TV shows? Try to download another one (pick one from the free section).
If other played just fine and your last download still won't play smoothly, you can contact iTunes costumer service to adjust your credit back.

Well, we can't as we don't know what you consider as "more than enough". The built is quite heavy (like it can be 800mb) then it needs to be extracted to be installed before everything unneeded gets deleted...

I was trying to download the new Black Ops (Strike Team) app and when I try to download it, it says I don't have enough storage space. I made sure I had 1.31 GB of space (like it requires) but it still says I don't have enough space. I even tried to delete more 2.5 GB (I have the iPhone 4S) and the app specifically says that is is compatable with iPhone 4S. I even tried rebooting the phone a couple times before downloading, but it still says the same thing.
The app you are trying to download my be a zipped file and more space than 1.3GB. go to settings/general/usage and delete what you no longer want to make more space

iTunes is not installing because its incompatible with your OS. When installing the correct version the new version will update the older version, there is no need to uninstall first.
The last version of iTunes compatible with OSX 10.4 is iTunes 9.2.1

To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required.

Purchasing more Storage on iCloud will not increase the Storage Capacity of your iDevice.
You need to Delete Content from your iDevice...
Goto... Settings > General > Usage > Storage = Then Delete Content...

Okay, so all I did was add a digital copy of a video to my iTunes library. It now won't sync my iPad even though it synced my iPhone, which has the exact same items on it (except my iPhone has WAY more pictures); and according to the usuage meter on the bottom my capacity is 13.83 GB and I have 5.6GB available. What is the reason for this and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance for the help!

Unable to Turn Off File Vault - I don't have enough Free Space on my System Drive.. Any Advise?
I am trying to Turn-Off File Vault on my MacBook Pro. The Following Message Appears: There isin't enough Space on your Harddrive to Turn File Vault Off.
It requires an additional 28.7Gb of Free Disc Space on my System Drive to proceed... I currently only have 4,78Gb of Space available on my System Drive..
Any advise on how to do this??Better yet, could you adjust the size of the partition of your System Partition? I didn't know you had your HD Partitioned, I would really avoid moving the whole Applications folder off it is possible it will mess things up. Maybe give it more room, so that file vault can copy everything over. If that is possible to just take space from the Projects and give it to System, that would be the best option.

How can I save the .mp4 files downloaded from internet to ipad memory so that I don't have to download everytime to view them again. Also they might remove them from internet so I can't rely on the bookmark to them.
I'm trying to send home movies to my 10 year old nephew who lives across the country. He doesn't have a computer. He has an iPod touch. His parents have computers. But I don't want everything I ever try to have him do result in "you need your parent's computer for this." It's getting really embarrassing. I have converted my family over to Apple computers but now they want to buy iPhones, iPads, and iPods even though I tell them to go Android. It took a decade to convert them away from windows now I'm trying to keep them away from these freedom limited iOS devices and they won't listen. Then it becomes my responsibility to make their iPads print to their fancy pre-airprint color laser jet printers, get home movies onto them, and countless other things. It's driving me nuts.
I have converted these files to a format that the iOS devices will play directly off of dropbox. Now, how do I get the infernal devices to save it instead of play it? -
I am nearly out of iCloud storage but I have over 3 gb on my iPad. I just bought a game that requires 1.5 gb but will not download to my iPad because it says that there's not enough storage in the cloud. Why can't I just download the game to my iPad?
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. I can't backup my iPhone 5. It says I don't have enough storage. So I've deleted like 6-7 apps and its still says I don't have enough storage. And it also says the same thing when I want to buy new apps or music. Also my messages won't send; I have to turn my phone off and resend then just to they can send. I can't even take any pictures because it says I have no storage.(I currently have 1,658 photos and 72 videos by the way.) What can I do? I just my phone in late December. I didn't think it would act up this bad before I even had it for a year. Please help.
Your phone needs more storage, buying storage on iCloud.com doesn't change that.
