I can't open certain website when I am on the 4G LTE network.

And it isn't just my phone others can't open them either when on the network. What causes this. They open when my phone is on wifi?

Look no further help is here! What websites are you trying to access on your cell phone? What happens when you try accessing those website? Are you getting an error message? Have you been able to access them in the past?

I use some websites for work that are somewhat protected, and one of them is telling me I can't open it in Safari and I need Internet Explorer 7 or newer. Is there a fix or something I can do to open these sites?

Safari version?
Enable "Develop" menu from the Safari Preferences.
Then click "Develop" in the Safari menu bar and select "User Agent".
Pick your choice from the option.
If that does not help, enable Safari back as default.

What do I do if I suddenly can not open certain websites on my iMac

A few weeks ago I tried going to my library website to see if a book was in and it wouldn't load and I figured my internet was just being screwy. Now no matter what website I try to open if it says .mil other than the actual website army.mil it will not load. Can't open certain websites?

The website that I always downloaded Korean contents (movies, dramas, songs, etc...) is not accessible when I use a Mac, with any web browsers... Are there restricted sites or incompatible sites with macs?

I get sec_error_bad_signature when trying to open certain websites

When i try to open certain websites, or log into secure adresses ( wttps ) i get sec_error_bad_signature.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Try to rename the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder to cert8.db.old or delete the cert8.db file to remove intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.
If that helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert8.db.old file.
Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the cert8.db.old file to cert8.db to restore the previous intermediate certificates.
Firefox will automatically store intermediate certificates when you visit websites that send such a certificate.
If that didn't help then remove or rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) as well.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder

Why am I getting a "Opening tweet_button.html" pop-up when I open certain websites?

Just downloaded new Firefox version & when I open certain websites I get a message saying I'm attempting to open a tweet_box.html (which I am not, I'm just opening pages from my bookmarks), and do I want to open or save it. Multiple boxes open for each site (3-5). Not sure where to turn this off??

I noticed this after the 4.0.1 update. I also have people in my office reporting the problem on a multitude of computer systems all using 4.0.1. I've confirmed it's not any extensions while loading a fresh Windows 7 SP1 on a test box and loading 4.0.1. 4.0 doesn't appear to be having this issue. I tried changing the html (aspx) file to be opened with Firefox, it ended up opening 60 tabs and crashing the browser. However, I no longer get the popups after restoring my session. Though the tweet_button.html is not loading on the page correctly.

Safari will not open certain websites

I'm new to mac, and so far so good. The problem is that I can't get safari (or firefox) to open certain websites. The one that bugs me the most is https://www.navo.navy.mil/products/geo.htm . I use it to get weather information that is not available in more mainstream sites.
It is a military product, and what I should get is three windows/frames/boxes that
when you click one thing, it gives you options for the next box, which opens information that you want.
This site works, in pc no problem (win98, win2000, XP, running firefox, ie or opera). Is there a work around to this problem? Is there another browser that will open this site up in mac?
I've tried to find this information elsewhere to no avail. In my business it's essential information.
Help please!
Oh, and how do I find out what version os I'm running?

I'm not sure what the Navy site is supposed to look like, but it appears to load ok in both Safari 3.0.3 (public beta for OS X 10.4) and Camino 1.5.3. Here's a screenshot of what I see:
I can't seem to access any data though as each search tells me the service is temporarily unavailable (is that expected?). What do you see when you try to enter this website?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Safari won't open certain websites

I am sorry if this already has a thread but I couldn't find it. My question is whether anyone can give me some advice about how to get over the problem of safari not opening certain websites. I have followed Apple's suggestion's to add "index/html" following the address but it does not work. They also suggest to contact each websites adminstrator which I don't have the time as there are a number of websites in which I have encountered this problem. Also, it seems to be a deficiency of the Safari rather than the other websites. How do I get over this obestacle? TX!

I was on my own website, when it suddenly said it couldn't open my page because it couldn't find the server. I checked with my host, and everything was fine. I tried going there with an old version of IE, and I got right on. Tried again with Safari, and no dice. I studied the addresses to see if anything was different, and noticed that in IE, there was no "www." in the address. So, I deleted the www from the address in Safari, and it found the website. However, all the images were X's because their address starts with a www.
This lasted about 10 minutes, and then everything was fine. During that time, other websites seemed to work fine.
My head is starting to hurt again.

Upon visiting the site, I can see that there is just a simple page with Federalbank.com at the top and no links. It's a unused website apparently. I don't understand why it would need Java to run anything from there since there is nothing on there. Is this your site?

I can bring up certain websites but can't log-in. I believe this has something to do with Verizon's software. A few of the cites where this occurs are: healthcare.gov; united.com; genetaylorsrentals.com. I have brought up these sites and logged in using my laptop and going through other ISPs (friend's home using Cox Communications connection (Newport News VA) and at George Mason District Public Library (Fairfax County VA). I am located in Annandale, VA. Has anyone else experienced this problem; do you have a solution?

Which Anti Virus are you using? Do you have the issue with multiple browsers?
I experienced login issues with some sites when using Avast AV with the WebRep plugin enabled. I've had to disable the plugin to be able to complete the sign in process.

I have moved & renamed photos.
All else is pointless now. You need to either 1. Return things to the way they were or 2. Create a new library and start over.
iPhoto is a database and records the pics by their path. So if you change that, then iPhoto loses them. You do ALL your work in the iPhoto Window.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
Many people make these changes becuase they think it will be easier to find their photos:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

You can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
