I wonder if you are seeing your iTunes in the Cloud purchases. The items you see with the iCloud icon next to them are purchased songs that you can stream from iTunes in the Cloud. You can hide these songs in Settings on the iPhone:
Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud: Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.

If there are just specific songs you would like to hide, you can hide them using the iTunes Store on your computer:
To hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking on Music, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from top.
Hover your cursor over the item you want to hide.
You will see an "X" either to the right or left top corner of the item.
Click the "X" to hide that item. A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the "X."
Once you hide the songs on your computer, I recommend quitting and relaunching the Music app on your iPhone. You can find more information about hiding purchases here:

If the songs do not display a cloud icon next to them, try deleting them directly from the iPhone using these steps:

I have simply been backing up to iTunes using the sync function.
My most recent backup using that method was a bit too old. To get a more recent backup of my data, I decided to do another sync backup before uninstalling Numbers from my system. (I did have the sense to copy the previous iTunes backup to another file folder on my PC before making that last sync - just in case I need it.)
Is there some way to extract Numbers spreadsheets from the iTunes sync backup? I haven't found any way to access these spreadsheet except by using Numbers. Since Numbers isn't working, I seem to be stuck. I did find some software that extracts a variety of data from iTunes backups but it doesn't extract Numbers data.

Is there any way at all I can get that deleted data from the phone?

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

This problem started last year when ios 8 was released. I think apple is trying to force users to buy music on iTunes store and that's why it's impossible to sync other music and also that's the reason why they haven't solved this serious problem. Hi - you can do what you want to do with AirPlay from your iPhone - but unfortunately it is not as easy as the people in the Apple store told you - your first problem is that you have a non Apple router - you cannot extend a non Apple router wirelessly with the Express - you can only join the network and connect an ethernet device to it - you can however connect via ethernet and have it create a wireless network of its' own - you can set this up from your iPhone or the XP - but this is a complicated setup and would involve many different discussion areas of this forum - therefore I would suggest that you use your 90 days of support and consult directly with Apple to do this - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

Cant remove music from my iphone

I cant remove music from my iphone. I have tried de-selecting the sync all music from itunes and it removes all music except 27 songs that are not even songs I have put on my phone. They are from my wifes library. I assume they were added through the cloud. I have turned off all cloud options but still cant remove the 27 songs. Anyone have any ideas?

I have also tried using the touch and swipe method with no luck. I have tried selecting and de-selecting the manually manage music and videos option with no luck. I have read a post that someone resolved this by restoring the phone but I have text messages that I need so I was hoping there was another way to fix this issue.

I'm attempting to delete music from my iPhone 4 (iOS7). When I connect it to iTunes, and the music shows up, I delete the music from the phone. When I disconnect the phone, the music is still there. The same thing happens if I try to sync the phone before disconnecting. I have "manually manage music" checked. Additionally, when I reconnect my iPhone, the music I "deleted" from it when it was previously connected to iTunes no longer appears, preventing me from trying to delete it again.
I know I can swipe left on each song to delete it on my phone, and I have been, but that takes a long time when you're trying to delete everything on your iPhone.
