I cant download apps but i have before
I have downloaded heaps of apps before and it just wont work now. I deleted half my apps to see if that helped but it didnt. Its not just 1 app that wont download its all of them... Please help!!!

My question is exactly what I found when I searched the problem I am having with my iPad. The question is, "Why am I unable to download any "UPDATES" to the apps I currently have on my iPad"? This problem just started to happen last week. Up until this point, I have had no problems with my iPad. I should note, these are games through Facebook. I am not sure if this matters or not, maybe I should have asked, "Why am I unable to download any "UPDATES" to the apps I currently have on my iPad, these are apps through Facebook?"
I use and rely on my iPad very much! I am disabled, and walking to our Main PC is sometimes very difficult. It is rather strange that I am not asked to download "UPDATES" on our main PC. It is where I started using Facebook in 1996, they are both the same account, same ID, same password, etc.
I do hope you will give me a suggestion, or two, in order for me to successfully regain access to the games I so enjoy playing. I am becoming quite limited!

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I go settings then store to sign in but I can't sign because it says my apple id has not yet been used before the iTunes store? That's why I cant download apps?
That means you have to sign into/view your account and review you account and make sure you have a valid payment method specified in your account.

i cant download apps throgh wifi on my iphone however when i connect to cellular data it starts downloading. then what is wrong over wifi , i tried reset network setting but i didnt help
Definitely sounds like an issue with your Wi-Fi network. Do any other devices on the network have similar issues? Is it an issue only with downloading apps? You can check by trying to load a website in Safari.
I would try turning your Wi-Fi router off for 1 minute, and back on again.
After doing that, disconnect and re-join the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and try downloading an app again. -
I just found my old ipod touch (i think 1st generation) and would like to let my toddler use it instead of my phone. I am trying to download apps but it say I need to update to 4.3 but it won't let me update. I have the most recent itunes. any idea why? I saw a thread saying to purchase the newest software (that was posted a few years ago) I paid 4.95 for the software and it's still saying it can't be updated. Am I just SOL??
The 1G iPod can only go as high as 3.1.3. The 1G does not have an internal speaker or volume buttons on the upper left edge.

It's not referencing your iTunes version. It's referencing your device's iOS version. An iPhone 3G has a maximum iOS of 4.2.1. If an app requires an iOS higher than that, it will not work on your iPhone 3G.

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup. -
My apps are not updating as I have no longer access to my eariler apple Id and now I am using a new apple Id which is allowing to download apps but while updating those apps my iPod wants eariler apple Id password to update what should I do ?

Those apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were purchased under. You can either delete them and re-purchase them, or you can go to Manage your Apple ID and reset the password on the old Apple ID so you can use it to update your apps: Apple - My Apple ID
If you decide to continue to use them under the old ID password, I would suggest that when you reset that password, you change it to be the same password as the one you are currently using. That way when apps need to be updated you will only need to know one password and you won't have to be concerned with which Apple ID is displaying.

My billing address is correct, but the i keep getting that my security code is incorrect and can't download apps. I have re-entered all of my information in my account, but still get error message. How to over-ride?
If you have American Express, your 4-digit security code is on the front. If you have VISA or MasterCard, your 3-digit security code is outside the signature block on the back of your credit card. It happens to me also.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

If the phone is Activation Locked the phone is useless to you. There is no way around Apple's antitheft feature. To check this go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. If it asks for a passcode for an Apple ID that is not yours it is still Activation Locked, and there is a high probability it is stolen.

I deactivated my credit card and now i cant download apps?
Awhile ago, I got rid of my credit card because it had been "hacked"(someone was using it). I deactivated it as soon as i could. Now, my Apple ID cant download apps without a credit card. I havent gotten a new card because im afraid that it may happen again. Ive tried to remove my billing information on iTunes, but it wont let me? I know i could make another Apple ID, but i have lots of songs and paid apps on that account that i still want. How can i fix this?
Fix the billing information on the account. Until that is done there is nothing that can be done.
It should be possible to set the billing information to "None" on the Apple ID.
Keep in mind, content acquired from the iTunes store is permanently tied to the Apple ID it was acquired with.
