I downloaded a ringtone on itunes, on my Mac, and it went on my iPhone as a song, and i cant figure out how to out it as my ringtone??

Yes. I selected all songs and checked them (in case I missed a few) and synced. I have also tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it. I tried selecting all songs and unchecking them, re-syncing my phone (which didn't get rid of the songs on my phone like i thought it would), then selected all songs again, checked them, and resynced again--nothing changed. I went to the iTunes store and selected "Check for all available downloads" and it gave me the message"All purchases have been downloaded for this account." I checked for duplicates, deleted a few and resynced. This reduced the number of songs, but it still doesn't match what the iTunes library says...I don't know what to try next...

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

Nope. Very least is to have Snow Leopard and the latest iTunes on the Mac.

This sounds like a problem you should take up with Apple Customer Support.

If your Import Settings are for Apple Lossless, AIFF, AAC or whatever the majority of your files are, convert MP3s to that file type.
I've presently got 17,000+ files in my library, and they're ALL MP3 or M4B(Audiobooks). If they weren't when I got them, I converted them. Saves a LOT of hassels with just this type of situation. Besides I have two non Apple MP3 players that WON'T work with other file types besides MP3 so, EVERYTHING I have has to be MP3.

This is ONE of the MANY reasons, I have held off on getting and iPhone. Because the ONLY option in getting the music onto it, is by using itunes, instead of just being able to drag and drop. This is annoying as F***.
I paid for and downloaded a ringtone from the iTunes store. It was working fine. Then I hoooked up my iphone to my bf's laptop, competely forgetting that it had already been synced to MINE, which is broken and toasted. It was in my itunes, and on my iphone...but had the exclmation mark beside it. I have already gone to the support page and followed the instructions for retrieving it. I have manually deleted it from my computer SINCE this discovery, by deleting it from itunes. So....to make sure yall are understanding this...I tried tracking it down by searching my computer....and I couldn't find it, although it was still listened on BOTH my itunes on my laptop AND in my iphone. I trued to manually delete it from the iphone....wouldn't work. So i manually deleted it from itunes.

Never mind I fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this problem, after you reinstall iTunes you have to delete all your old music, and if you have iTunes match all the songs you have saved on itunes match will display and you just have to download them to your Macbook.

How do I download album artwork from iTunes on my Mac to my iPod touch?

I have album artwork in iTunes on my desktop Mac. I want to have that artwork with my albums and songs on my iPod Touch? I don't see an obvious way to move or synch the artwork, except possibly replacing all music on my iPod with what is in iTunes. I don't want to do that because I synch with my office and home computers and the music is not identical on the two computers.

Let's be clear on one thing here. The manual setting is an iPod setting, not an iTunes one. So, once you've set it to manual (and you appear to have done that correctly), then you can connect it to any number of computers without changing that setting.
"The grey thing occurs on one pc only"
This is the thing that I don't understand, if your iPod is set to manual, then it shouldn't happen on any computer. If you connect the iPod that is set to manual to this pc, and then click on it in the source listing, then you would be looking at the songs on the iPod, and they should not be greyed out. When you connect to the "other pc" under these same circumstances, they are not greyed out?

Where did you buy this laptop? I know if I opened a box expecing and having paid for a 2012 model and found a 2010 model, I'd be back at the store demanding an exchange quicker than you could imagine. Open box or not, if you thought you were buying a 2012 model, you should get what you paid for.

You cannot access the movie from the Apple TV screen. You would need to use airplay on the iPad to stream the video to the Apple TV.
