No more details other than above . I have uninstalled and re-installed FIREFOX several times and still get this issue. Also, very slow in connecting to websites.

You will need to restore it. It may not sync, but the iPad's sidebar has to appear you can restore it and it will be as the last time ou synced it to iTunes. For more info:

You will need to restore it. The sidebar of your iPad appears on itunes even if you dont enter the passcode. There's the option to restore it. More info:

USB connection to iTunes. Back up your 3GS with your last 3GS back up. DON'T use an iPhone 4 back up or higher. It will cause exactly this.

Since I put lion on my MacBook Pro I've had nothing but trouble when I start the computer up in the morning after it is been shut down all night, it takes several restarts before it finally gets it right this happens with both of my Macs. I would try starting in SafeBootMode, then restart as normal.
This will delete the dynamic loader shared cache.

I am using a HP CapShare 920 handheld scanner and I would like to download documents onto my mac. I purchased an IR778 usb port adapter specific for a mac, downloaded the required app for this. The mac recognises the ir778 but will not recognise the scanner. Now it works fine on my netbook, yet I can not read the files they are so small. I am looking for some help so I can use my much preferred mac.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

If there is no Trash icon for that photo, the photo was most likely copied to your iPhone by syncing with your computer. To delete the photo you need to do another sync.
1. If you want to remove a complete album, deselect that album in iTunes on your computer. Then when you click on Sync or Apply that album will be removed from your iPhone but it will remain on your computer.
2. If you want to remove only certain photos from albums you must delete the photo from the album on your computer or move it to a different album or folder. Then when you click on Sync or Apply the photo(s) will be removed from your iPhone.

Tnx, Steve. I actually had that concern about force quitting the machine as suggested by 'shldr2thewheel'. Since I'm new to Mac, I went to several training sessions at Apple store. I remember in one session, the Apple Associate cautioned or rather dissuaded us to resort to that method. Instead, I simply allowed the machine run out of battery without closing the lid.
