I have a DV7 running Windows 7. I get no sound from the HDMI output.
Video out to TV is working fine. I made sure I have the latest drivers, when I go to Sounds I have ATI HDMI audio set as my default and it shows sound going out on the meter but it does not get to my tv.
I have checked the cable and the jacks on the TV - tried switching both. I can plug my HD DVD into the same cable and get audio just fine.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ATI HDMI audio drivers and rebooting. Tried rebooting with the cable plugged in and not plugged in. Tried switching the default to speakers - I get the sound on the laptop - switch it back and no sound.
What's worse is the problem is intermittent. I can plug it in one day and it works, a few days later it doesn't. A few days after that it works again.
I have run out of ideas - please help.

Those are the Mobile Me Servers, that's why your mail does not work, use these settings.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

To get synced photos from an iPod to a computer you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -

I have 2 Gmail accounts, one Google Apps account and one regular Google account.
I use one for my business and the other for personal use.
Each account has a number of contacts (business contacts in the Google Apps account, and personal in the other). My problem is that when I made the configuration, only my personal contacts shows, not the one in the my business account
E-mail and calendars work just fine but the issue with contacts really bothers me. Can some one help?

AndrésYou can't sync contacts between iPhone and Google directly and (i've tested this right now) you can't sync iTunes with two Google Accounts but only with one Google Account.
There is only one solution: First go to your private Google Account (use the website) and select Contacts. Select all contacts and export them as vCard (for Apple addressbook) and import them into iCloud addressbook. Now do the same with your business Google Account.
It is possible that there is a 3rd-party software which can do this automatically but i don't know any. Sorry! -
Why are my 2 W S X keys only working intermittently on my HP Pavilion DV7 running windows 7?

I'm experiencing a bit of trouble with my 2 W S X keys. They only seem to work when they want to and when one stops working, the other stop working too.
The laptop in question is a HP Pavilion dv7 running windows 7 64bit. I can't think of any changes that have occured before the change but was working fine this time last week. Not dropped it or anything.
A note i saw elsewhere said to check if the keys work works in the BIOS. I opened the BIOS and tried the keys in there upon startup. Didn't work. Logged in left it for a bit and then as if by magic it was then working again (enough so to enable me to write this).
Any ideas what this could be?

AdamThis is definitely from malware - it happened to me last night and I checked online and found 2 many guesses. I managed to resolve it moments ago - and I'm typing with the same computer / keyboard. It is hard to resolve but here is the link to the virus description (which does not mention the specific symptom of losing the 2 W S X keys). So this is how I solved it: I had Microsoft Security Essentials and it was up-to-date. However, it does not find it by itself. Spybot finds something but is unable to fix it - even upon a reboot. I installed Trend free atHome(?) virus scan - it does not find it. I installed AVG full Internet Protection - it does not find it. However, while AVG was running (a few hours) Security Essential found it - just like that! So, it appears that when the malware was adjusting itself to avoid being detected, that it was discovered by MS Security Essentials. I fixed it while AVG was running, and tested my keyboard right away. At first the x worked, then the other keys.
This is malware - not hardware, so please stop telling people to clean or replace their keyboards. -
I am going to buy either a Mac Air or Mac Pro Retina 8GB RAM and 256GB. And as I have to still run Windows programs I will install Parallels 9. As the Mac are both 64bit machines does that mean I need to install Windows 7 64bit or just install 32 bit? (Going with Win7 as I hate Win8). And I will install Office Pro 2013 64 bit too or 32 bit or is that automatically selected by the underlying OS (I use Word, Excel and Access mainly for a membership database of a local club) ? I am not a power user so would appreciate advice on way to go

I can't get home sharing to turn on on my computers. I have a PC running windows XP that has a large library on it that I want to access from a newer windows 7 PC. I have turned home sharing on in both, same apple ID. I just will not come up. Any ideas?

I have a pc running windows 7. I got an Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi and the printer is now plugged into the Airport. The Airport works fine but the printer shows as offline in control panel and in word. The printer is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw.
+For now I have it set to Share Public IP address - Is this correct for my Network Setup with The Airport Extreme being the only router being used ?+
This would be the correct setting if the AirPort Extreme is connected to a simple modem (one ethernet port).

Interference Robustness often does more harm than good and should not be used unless you know you are in a area with a lot of wireless networks and you feel that your network is experiencing interference issues from a nearby network. -
I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

I have a PC running Windows XP (yes an antique) with CS3 Photoshop and InDesign and lightroom 2 (yes all antiques). I have acquired a PC running Windows 7 with no programs. I also have a MacBook pro with full CS5 suite. The programs were already loaded with I got it as a gift. Question 1. If I find serial numbers used to download programs to the old PC, can those CS3 programs be put on the newer PC. Question 2. I really want to put CS5 suite on PC machines. Is that possible? Especially since my MacBook is showing some hard drive problems.
You should be able to get the CS3 programs installed and running on the new pc since CS3 is spec-ed for Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Downloading the programs does not require a serial number. You can find them here: Download CS3 products but you will need the serial number to activate the programs. You might be able to find that thru your Adobe account online.
You will not be able to install the CS5 Mac version on a PC and you won't be able to trade it to a PC version either due to it being an older version. Trades are allowed only for the latest version (CS6) -

Hello. You need to change the energy use setting that computer uses max it out. Then it will work just fine. My is touchsmart 600-1050. The computer was preset to use minimum amount of electricity when in idle. I changed all the setting to high. Now every thing runs just like a Windows XP version computer. Thats how I got my screen savors to work. I also upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 7 Ultimate now I am able to run a lot more XP software. Test your pond screen saver make sure that working with windows open. That will tell you if it is a software issue if it doesn't work. That is the case then restore it from your D: drive.
