I have a Form where some fields do not render using Acrobat??
It's a 17 Page Government of California Form - this form is built correctly and works perfectly using BlueBeam, Foxit, Cute, Nitro and Nuance yet Acrobat X and Reader do not render some fields and crashes while scrolling - why is this happening?

One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won’t have to go though the revert process.

How can I allow the application to line through a field that has been locked after being digitally signed?
We have multiple sections on a form with some fields being proposed information and other in another section having the approved information. once the approved information is entered we line through the proposed field so the data entry clerk won't pick up the wrong information. However we are receiving an error when attempting to enter data in the field which we have this edit. Error property: line through cannot be set because doing so would violate the document permission setting. any idea how we can get around this issue?You can control which fields are locked down after signing by setting up a collection. Then those that are not locked can be changed after signing. If this is not possible, then the line outs must occur prior to signing.

Yes but you will have to create some custom JavaScript to do this.
Also you should be aware that the "Required" property is only processed when the form is submitted to a scripted web page or "mailto:" process. -
How to display subtotal in ALV, where the field is not a numeric.

We are having a requirement to display the sub total for a field using ALV grid display, where the field is not numeric.
The field is characte, Status field(consists of values Submit, Approve ,Reject), where the subtotal should be value of count of group by status .
say status with submit are 10 records, so after all records with submit status are, displyed, we need to display its subtotal as 10.

I am a new Mac user and I bought the Pages APP and have no Idea where it is or how to use it? If I go into Iwork and click Pages it shows 3 documents that I have creates. THe only option I have is to download it. Then If I click it it opend in an app called Preview.
It is in me apps folder in Itunes. I expected it to be an app in my computer.Pages for IOS and Pages for OSX are 2 different programs, buying one doesn't get you the other, go to the App Store (not iTunes) on your Mac and buy it.

this is to inform you that, there is a requriment in reporting perspective (ALV),
Requriment:
i have to generate a ALV report which is viewed by our CFO with one t.code, in that report suppose there are 10 fields.
That is a specific report if some body apart from my CFO uses the same tcode to generate the same report than it has to display only 5 fields.
if my CFO uses the same t.code all the 10 fields must be visible.
please help me how to do it.

1) - Create 2 variants, 1 variant for CFO with all the fields & 2nd variant with only relevant fields. Then use the authorization concept, where basis can restrict the access / execution of the report with specific variants.
From the basis view, they create role & assign this variants in one of the object ( not sure). Basis assistance required
2) - When developing report, write the validation for the respective fields such as maintain Customize table in which maintain userID's & fields which they can access. Display only those fields to the userID who executes this report. It should check this customize table for this UserID & only those fields listed should get displayed. ( for all the fields, instead maintaining each field, you can enter "ALL",
Eg: UserID -
Fields
CFO -
ALL ( report should display all the fields)
NONCFO-------Field1 | Field2 | Field3 | Field4 | Field5 ( only these fields should get displayed)
Note: In Customize table either you can maintain with User ID or Role. It will be more convinient in future as well.

Hi, we have a unique problem while printing the checks some fields are printed correctly in Arabic and some are printed in english, once in english are payee name, payee address, invoice number . am i missing something here, any help is appreciated.

I am working on an EnterpriseWiki site collection, and when users edit the page properties as follow:-
then will get all the fields inside the EnterpriseWiki content type as follow:-
now i want to hide all the fields except the ; Title & Name, so i edit the EditForm and i add the following script:-

so currently when users edit the wiki page properties they can only edit the Name & Title, because the script hide the other fields.
My question is what will happen to the other values such as the page content, assign to , etc that have been hidden.. I test this and seems that when editing the name and title the other values will not get effected which is what i need, but not sure how
did SharePoint handle this, i was afraid that hiding the other columns will set their values as null or empty if the user save the editform with only the title and name inside it ? can anyone adivce on this ?Hi John,
From your description, my understanding is that you are worried about the values of some fields
will been saved as empty if you hide them in EditForm.
If you hide some fields in EditForm, it means that you could not edit them. These fields’ values will not be changed after editing Title field or Name field. When you click Save button, they will be still the values before changing the Title field or Name
field.

i found this very critical issue with hiding the fields from the edit form, now i wrote the following script inside the edit form , to hide all the fields except the Name

Transformation : some fields are not visble in Source DSO
Hi
i have done mapping in transformation by connecting one Write Optimized DSO with a Standard DSo.
Both DSO have same fields. But i am seeing some of the fields are not visible in Write optimized DSO in Transformation
so those fields can not be mapped with corresponding Standard DSO fields.
let me know how those fields can be make visible in Transformation.

"Attribute Only" will not be visible , only method to to do this maybe something like below .
1) Look at the keys of the standard DSO , pick up the same combination and the attribute only fields from the source in the start routine of the TFM .
2) in the field level routine of the TFM (for the atrribute only fields ) , read the tables with keys and populate .

Delete records in itab1 where key fields does not exit in itab2 w/o Loop

I am trying to find the most efficient way to compare two internal tables and filter out (delete) the entries in Internal Table 1 (ITAB1) where the key fields does not exist in internal table 2 (ITAB2).
Here is the codes using the Loop.
Loop at itab1.
read table itab2 where field1 = itab1-field1 and field2 = itab1-field2.
if sy-subrc ne 0.
delete itab1 where field1 = itab1-field1 and field2 = itab-field2.
endif.
endloop.
Instead of looping thru each record of ITAB1, is there a way to use the "DELETE" or other efficient way? This is in ECC 6.0.

How do I stop my notes from iphone moving to notes section of my email?

It sounds like you currently have Yahoo activesync set as your default notes account.
To turn this off, go to settings>mail contacts and calendars, scroll down to your yahoo mail account, tap on that, and turn off "notes"
To double check which account your notes are being saved onto when you create them, in notes tap on "accounts" in the upper left hand corner, and tap on where you want those notes to be stored -
Form Radio Buttons or Checkboxes not created in Acrobat 9 Pro

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro - current version - 9.4.3.
I am using Word 2010
I am running Windows 7
I have created a simple form in Word. Using the guidelines from the white paper - Acro9_designforms.pdf provided by Adobe, those fields where I want a radio button insert a checkbox instead when running the Form Wizard in Acrobat.
My sample is exactly the same as in the sample used in the white paper.
I used a circle symbol from the Wingdings font, as recommended by Adobe.
Salutation
O Mr.
O Ms.
O Dr.
The end result is still a checkbox, even though it is a circle in the display.
What am I doing wrong?
I do not want to use LiveCycle Designer, as once the form is created in LiveCycle, the form fields can no longer be edited in Acrobat and I must maintain the ability to edit in Acrobat.
Thank you for your assistance.Oh, the Wizard is a fabulous tool for basic forms. And, since Adobe has given an extensive list of 'guidelines', which is what I am testing, I thought I would ask for feedback from those who do use it and from those who have had success in using it.
The Wizard is mostly terrific, if you use the guidelines when setting up the source document. It saves a lot of manual field creation and fixing later. This one, though, is not working as expected. So, I might be doing something wrong and the responses I seek are from those who have had success with the feature - not with manual workarounds, which of course we know can be achieved. :)
Nothing is "magic". I don't think either I or Adobe are implying that it should be. However, when they state a feature works in a certain way and I am not getting those results, I like to explore why. Silly me. hahaha
The example I gave in my initial post is the only thing in the form, as I am testing the features for when I present this topic.
I am merely trying to determine if others are having success (or not) when creating their document initially in Word (for example), using the guidelines that Adobe states for Radio Buttons being created. If there is a certain font that someone is having success with other than those stated by Adobe, I would love to know. For me, so far, it is not. If it's user error, then I would love to know from someone who has had success.
Here is what Adobe states as part of their Radio Button form field guidelines when setting up a document in Word, for example:
§ Use circular objects or numbered buttons to in a single row or column to indicate radio buttons.
§ Use group labels to the left of or above each radio button group – otherwise they will default to check boxes. Field names are determined from the group labels and individual button labels from the text to the right of each location.
§ Use the following text labels to have radio buttons created automatically: Yes/No, M/F, Male/Female, Mr/Mrs/Miss/Dr.
§ Use one of the following group labels to have radio buttons created automatically: Salutation, Sex, Occupation.

Adobe form taking too much time to render using Web dynpro ABAP
Dear All,
we are rendering an Adobe form online to view employee profile, the form is hardly 100KB but it takes 5 minutes to render in the browser. I have checked the performance of abap code and there is no performance issue. the form shows downloaded 100kb ot 100kb and then I get the wait symbol for quite sometime and after a few minutes wait it renders. the form has XML based interface and ZCI layout. I have done a HTTP trace and could not trace out anything, so I suspect it is something to do at the client level.
Can anyone help me to identify what and where exaclty is the problem.
Is it with the
1. Adobe Reader ? - I have adobe X reader
2. Is it to do with any browser or Adobe reader settings?
3. Is it do with ADS?
4. Or any other compatibility issues?
Any pointers is appreciated. 5 minutes is too long to render a 100 KB form.
